I remember in the 90's when sheephead were considered a trash fish. My buddy would be getting reds and specs and I would get sheephead, I was so dejected. Funny how things turn out.

Great vid , the Seadoo is a wonderful addition for getting to the rigs. For the house they do make an auto shutoff for the water main based on flow volume.👍🎣

If you don’t rank mangrove snapper in your “top three” inshore fish to eat I really don’t know what to say. Better than triple tail, flounder and Sheepshead. In my opinion, it’s the top of the top. Easy to catch, fun to catch, easy to clean and it tastes absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! Vey versatile too. Gotta give the Mangs some love.

DANG Nate first and foremost sorry for what your going thru, soo grateful no one was hurt...secondly I might have mentioned that recipe as we use exactly that method for doing bluefish and people can't believe it's Blues the tomatoes and onions take the oily gamey flavor and mmm mmm ..Thanks for sharing .god's Blessings to y'all.

Sorry to hear about the house...mine I walked into my basement two weeks ago, which in 15 years has never had a drop of water in it, to find over an inch of standing water. Talk about a kick in the shorts as the reason I was down there was to escort the HVAC guys who are replacing my AC/Heater...so instead of over 10k in expenses...I am gutting my finished basement...fun times. So I completely understand your pain at this moment. Hopefully your YT earnings assist in the repairs. My fishing channel only has 2k subs so it will not be helping at all...hahaha.

I was At Galveston catching Sheepshead on friday, when I cleaned one. for some odd reason half the meat was just full of blood. And i dont mean the skin side i mean the top side of the fillet was about 70% of blood. Sadly the meat was no good. Have you ever had that happen to ya?

@@southernsalt It has been a long time since fishing rigs (charter) but we caught a mess of the beginner variety of snapper. Very tasty and no regulations back then.

I like red snapper. Red Snapper is delicious. I don't know why you want to throw them back and keep the other fish instead.
