Love how supportive you both are to each other.

I am forever impressed by you, David. And also your extremely healthy approach to fitness. Very inspirational.
Strength vs. Flexibility. Both are needed.

Absolutely loving this series, great concept!
I love the videos you do with other types of athletes. So interesting how two people’s bodies can work so differently depending on how you train. The big guy is my fav though! Love you guys together!
I could watch videos like this all day! It's like a game of skate but with exercises
this vid really proved to me that as far as athletics go, everybody has their own strengths. Im not super athletic at all (maybe just mildly fit) but it's so wild seeing a dude who is crazy strong like that not be able to do a standing backbend- but i can? Haha but then if you ask me to do a pull up, i couldnt do a single one 😂 its so crazy and really shows how differently everyones bodies are built 😮
@i_want_my_shuggah
Ай бұрын
Bro, if you can't do a single pull-up, you better be working on your relative back strength. Even bodybuilders can do (average) 8-10 pull-ups.
@ArtbyLilRed
Ай бұрын
@@i_want_my_shuggah my back strength is good imo; I just have noodle arms because I don't work them out and I'm a small female. I can do a hundred situps in one session but no pullups 😂 I'm 5'2 and 110 lbs I just have really weak arms lol. Even though most women can't do pullups it would still be cool to be able to do a couple eventually. I struggled a lot with this when I was the only girl in my parkour classes. The boys had no issue pulling themselves up onto structures but I couldn't do it most of the time because that's not where my natural strength is. Now, if I could pull myself up with just my legs, that would be a different story 😂

@@ArtbyLilReddayum, I just took measures of myself and we are just almost exactly the same height and weight (though I'm lighter than you). I can do between 12-14 chin over the bar pull-ups with prone grip (good form) and recently surpassed +6 pistol squats with both legs. Can you do pistol squats?

With pull ups imagine your hand and arms as just ‘hooks’ and try to pull with your back muscles
I love how encouraging they both are. It's so wholesome

No offense, but youtube has made me hate the word wholesome. It used to mean nutritious and healthy. Now it seems to mean kind or uplifting. Can't people just say it's uplifting? Why does everyone have to say wholesome? It's almost as bad as "let's go!" Maybe I just hate internet fads.
@KFoxtheGreat

@@mygirldarby I apologize in advance, you found my special interest. To me that's one of the coolest things about language. It's constantly changing and updating. Back when Mark Twain was around, he used "wholesome" as a synonym for "safe," which I feel like is closer to the current usage than "a complete and wholesome breakfast." So it changed to being about food and now is swerving back to a broader definition. For me "uplifting" doesn't quite capture the endearing nature of inspiration I find from this video, so I went with "wholesome" because I think it fits the exact coziness and joy that this pair supporting each other gave me. In a decade, "wholesome" might mean something completely different from any of these uses because the world si.ply might need it to mean something else. But that's just language and it's kind of amazing that it adapts to our culture and society and what it needs when it needs it like that!
Love the collab!! I hope you enjoyed your time in Hawaii, David!
Really appreciate the humility and camaraderie during this video, y'all are so inspiring! 💪
Him trying to nail the back bend is hilarious, for him too😂😂
War schön euch beide zu sehen ❤ ihr seid amaaazigly strak und flexible💪🔥
Just wanted to say thank you again. What I have learne hear has even improved my dart game. Kep the hips flat!
Please please please do more 10+ minute follow along routines!!!
I kept getting distracted by that freaking ninja in the background - punching the air faster than the speed of light 😂
he pushed out of that dragon squat like it was nothing! thats crazy
It's clearly the body mechanics training that's lacking from both of you guys. Love the Ganbaru and plan on using it
Because of you, I tried standing pancake at yoga tonight. I can do it!! I could only go as low as the width of my mat, though. I need to find a longer mat!
You are amazing David ❣️

BRO I SAW YOU FROM THE BUS AND I THOUGHT I WAS LOSING MY MIND!🤣
Such wholesome flexyness
For the baki pose, you can try lifting yourself up on your fingers with your non-dominant hand. It’s mostly a balancing skill, so you can train it as you would a handstand, though you really have to nail that sweet spot. Ask someone to help you stay in the same position until you have enough stability. That tip about the hand facing your legs is to prevent swinging. Once you get yourself on one arm, you might rotate around it, so you can try to shift your weight toward the ground, hips up. Good luck.
Finally, a calisthenics athlete who hasn’t skipped leg day
Both of you were so impressive!
2 years has passed and I'm still waiting for the upper flex routine
Being able to havee both flexibility and strength is an absolute win
David i had a question your hips flexibility and legs flexibility are amazing even your shoulders are really awesome but when we compare to your back bend its significantely lower why is that so? Do you not train it often or you had a previous injury ? Ofc im politely asking and not trying to hate i love all your videos and your good vibes man much love ❤❤

I feel like i am progressing negatively with my flexibility 😢
Good high five count.
Great video ! Although next time you could provide each other some spotting to make the tries safer on some skills 😉
Found Xero shoes thanks to your vids.. thanks!
Great content! David ya gotta work on the functional strength. Raph is a master of functional strength.
That back catch is crazy
Who wants to count the number of times we heard "That's CRAAAZY!!!" 😂😂😂
Legit science in action
That last one was like a one handed side crow. Bend your elbows a bit to make them like a shelf for your legs then try lifting your arm.
Yeah that backwards shoulder grab pull-up bar thing was insane
I wonder how good you'll be as a martial artist With that flexibility you'll be kicking heads💀
I tried doing all challenges while watching this video and did non 😭

@@MovementbyDavid You too my friend!
This serie is so fun to watch. I'd like to see you David with a martial arts athlete. I'm interested in martial arts and seeing you try it on YT would be so fun. I'd like to see you learning how to kick with proper form.
Ralph's standing pancake was awesome, shouldn't have lost the point even if David's was lower and more stable
I have not seen any video on shoulder stretching and mobility- can you please help me
Raph is so cute with that jump
I’d like to see you guys try it more than 3 tries. Actually learn it don’t quit!
Oh interesting! You guys have both signed on with Eugene Teo? I'm curious about your reasons for doing so!
I'm doing David's free program and Im' not gonna lie this is the Stretch !!!
Shoutout to the guy who was shadow boxing in the background
I just kept saying OHHH !!! Multiple times
homie is built like a tank
Me watching David do dragon squat: bro, you are already beat him... BRO, are you trying to go through the ground or what?!
The backbend was the easiest thing for me to learn. I guess my back is just naturally flexible
I have some body parts that are extremely tight and when I stretch these muscles, they tighten up. So I stretch them lighter and they tighten up. Then I stretch hard and they tighten up. I rest and they stay the same. For some muscles, I can stretch like a normal person but for others it's not so simple. I have to find what works and I would benefit from you explaining this in depth if possible. I appreciate your content
he was so close with that back catch on that last try. i think he could get it.
Does the backward jump on the pull up bar* *Utterly dislocates**
A wild Eugene Teo appears!
I'm trying to work on both of those attributes.
You could have put his channel in the video description

At 57, I was still able to build strength and flexibility, but now a 64, everything is slower. I am happy to maintain even without major gains and no injuries. I challenge with new skills vs conditioning to keep it interesting.
