Great video! I'm flying SQ 26 from FRA-JFK in business soon, your video is great timing and makes me excited, I can't wait for some satay soon! Looks like a comfortable flight. The 2h+ wait is horrible though... at least I guess I can use MPC or the US citizen line as a Canadian though, hope that will make it faster

Enjoy your flight with SQ, hopefully you will like it too:). As a Canadian you should be fine at JFK immigration. They all breezed through.

I agree that pyjamas should be offered on an ultra long flight like this. Great video with good detailing.

Thanks for the review. We will be doing this flight but going the other way. This video has got me excited. I am surprised by no PJs. I know SQ only does it for First Class but there is no First Class on this flight and it is literally the world's longest flight. Still knowing this will ensure we have some in carry on.

Over an 18 hour flight, that arm rest issue would get to be an annoyance to me as well. Many airlines provide pajamas on a much shorter route, so I don't understand the lack of PJ's! I had a good laugh when you ate your hamburger with a fork and knife...I've never seen them eaten that way. Lastly, 2hr 45min at immigration is just brutal....as you said, back to reality.

Thank you for your comment David, much appreciated. Since I was in business class, I thought eating the burger „in-style“ is more appropriate;-) But yes, that immigration is a no-go to me. I wonder if the other SQ flight landing in EWR also has the same bad timing.

Very nice trip report Chris, you covered everything and I like your laid back style. I agree they should provide pyjamas on that flight as they are a nice souvenir and would only cost about $20.00 which when you consider the thousands you pay for business class, a nice touch to show they appreciate you flying with them. I've subscribed.

If Singapore Airlines provided pyjamas to Business Class passengers that cost about $20.00, then they'll have to provide their First Class passengers with $50.00 pyjamas!

Morena Chris! I still think Changi Airport Singapore is still the best in the World!! The Longest Flight I have done is here from Home, Auckland to Dubai w Emirates ..................... and boy was that long - 19 hours!!! I love Singapore Airlines; the Food is great however it's the Service .................... weather its Economy, Business or First, they are exceptional. I thought the Seat was a bit small for you due to being so tall!!! Enjoy New York Chris!!! 🙂🙂

Many thanks Duane for the comment. AKL-DXB with EK is on my bucket list! The Singapore Airlines Business Class seat on that A350 ULR was actually quite large, compared to the newer one on the A380 ;-)

Nice flight report. Last time I spent in this Lounge 10 hours. It was during Covid times and I came from Brunei and continued later to Frankfurt. The ULR has also this strange seats. I did not like, because you cannot change from sitting to bed easily. I was honestly so excited to fly first time with SQ in the Business Class, but it was in the end on both flights disapointing. Crew was not really good. So our experience with the pyjama was not so surprising me. It was nothing special to fly SQ. With TK you will get the same for half of the price.

Mit TK kann man Glück oder Pech haben. Die Crews sind oft sehr inkonsistent. Da kann es schon mal passieren, der der Sitznachbar was zu trinken bekommt und man selber nicht mehr gefragt wird. Ich finde das ist für einen Business Class Service extrem schlecht. Alternativ bekommt man auch mal das falsche Getränk gereicht. Aber ist ja auch nicht so einfach Weißwein und Rotwein zu unterscheiden. :-)

im from the netherlands when choose sq its a airport hotel but a nice long day fligh. on my terurn its a night fo light and i am able to sllep. qatar afernoon flight no need fr airport hotel but feel like 1 stb leg to short to sleep and stay over night in qatar. the qatar buisnes lounge is way better the the singapore 1. tough i can order in flight with sq. like from krisshop. both have pros and cons

I dont think the word "surviving" is correct when youre flying in Singapore biz class....but good video on the experience

Greetings! Well I have to tell you I am as disappointed as you may have been on a few things. As a retired Flight Attendant myself, while I never worked an 18 hour flight , it’s disappointing to see that type of service that was provided. (1) No PJ’s on the longest flight is not acceptable. (2) Not having a full amenity kit is also unacceptable. (3) The seat sides seemed to be scuffed and dirty for a new A350. (4) The food presentation was not inspiring at all, I would have at beast put a cotton napkin under the tray of snacks to make it look a little bit more better, and hide the dirty galley. But really ! A plastic tray 😮, It was just nasty looking for such a long flight. I’m really shocked that Singapore airlines would provide that type of service. (5) A dirty trolley cart, in the aisle was really a turn off. (6) You don’t deserve an attitude from the flight attendants because they don’t have PJs. They could’ve kindly, smiled and said, please accept my apologies as we are unable to provide the PJs at this time but I will be sure to make your bed extra comfy and do whatever I can to make your sleep more comfortable to make up for it! (6) That chicken sandwich looked like it came off an economy tray! I really am disappointed to see this Airline go down hill like this… but then again, the new generation is running the show. I am sorry that you had this experience and I hope it is a one off. As for the two hour wait here in the USA, I agree that it’s ridiculous while our rotten so called president is allowing people to just walk into our country without knowing anything about them PLUS! they get everything free more than people on Social Security that lived here and worked here all their lives, and now they get to go through TSA, that’s our airport security without going through the proper procedures that those of us who lived here all our lives in America have to do. It’s unbelievable what’s happening to our county. Hopefully that will change come 11/2024. Well as always you do I mean, kindly, positive no matter what the circumstances is and did an honest review, sometimes they can’t always be good ! Cheers!……. Brian

Thank you Brian, you certainly look at it with a way more professional eye than I can. You see flaws that I didn’t even notice in my own footage;-) My overall impression of the flight was quite good, but I’m sure if the flight was as you described it should be, I‘d probably have given my max score of 10, based on my own invented gut-feeling-scale ;-)

Perhaps if you know the reason why SIA don't offer PJ since majority of the passengers do not use or they bring new set of clothes to change. Hence, SIA do not see the need to. Waste of resources and they prefer to focus on the services and the sleep. Also, passengers can customise their amentiy kit and stuff they do not want, they can leave the items in the back of the plane area.

These are pretty much the words I read in an interview with SQ about exactly this matter re PJ and Amenity Kits. I think there’s the pax who doesn’t care about either, and there’s the other kind of pax, like me, who loves receiving such goodies as part of the overall experience. I guess it’s hard for an airline to make it right for everybody;-)

@@forgotmypassport I'm on the same page as you. If flying business and above on a long haul with more than 10 hrs, I would prefer if the airlines offer PJ for passengers to change to. Perhaps SIA can look into it and have it as a request item.
