🔥 I TOOK THE NEXT GENERATION NCLEX | Practice Case Studies + Study Tips

Hi Future Nurses,
I got to take part of the ✨ACTUAL✨ Next Generation NCLEX Exam as a beta tester for their pilot program.
👉First and foremost: I have heard so many people say this test will be harder to pass. Honestly, I think it is the opposite. If you have struggled to pass the NCLEX in the past, you may have a better chance at passing this type of exam for these reasons:
1️⃣ There are 6 new question types: extended multiple response, extended drag & drop, matrix style, drop-down "cloze", highlighting, and bowtie. If you have attention issues, this will help not make the test so monotonous (repetitive) with the same question formats.
2️⃣ Partial scoring is now allowed!!! HALLELUJAH! Thank you to NCSBN Gods for doing this! 🤣 On the old NCLEX, you would either pass/fail a question, now you can get points for what you got correct! This is a game-changer!
3️⃣ Lab values differ from various institutions, facilities, etc. Now the NCLEX will provide you a lab value reference so you know what is abnormal vs. normal for ranges.
4️⃣ This test is geared towards visual learners. The case studies simulate real-world experiences and allow you to visualize that YOU are the nurse in this scenario so what are you going to do?
5️⃣ The Next Generation NCLEX still uses Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT). This is where the computer will estimate your knowledge each time you answer a question to provide you with questions suited to your ability level.
6️⃣ Not test related, but you are a rockstar that passed Nursing School! You did what most people cannot. You already proved that you are smart and capable enough to pass this exam!
⚠️ Important Exam Information: You get 5 hours to complete a minimum of 85 questions and a maximum of 150 questions.
👉Please go get a copy of my ✨FREE✨ Next Generation NCLEX Exam cheatsheet linked on my website: www.BeautifulNursing.com
👉Plus the Nursing School Antidote book has been updated for the Next Generation NCLEX and has over 350 pages of mnemonics, visuals, hacks, and over 350 NCLEX TIPS!
I would be grateful if you could comment, like, or share to boost this video for my friends who are about to take the Next Generation NCLEX!

Of course. It's always about the real life. That's where the fun happens. But, before getting there,u gotta learn a bunch of things that you probably won't use. I'm in x-ray tech and will take my nclex next month hopefully. I can tell you, 55 to 65% of things I learned in x-ray school,I don't use them in the workplace.

I was extremely nervous about taking NGN but by the grace of God, I passed!! I hope this encourages someone as I was on question 136 and ran out of time!! I'm a Mom & repeat test taker so the idea of taking new exam was nerve wrecking but don't be discouraged to anyone else taking the exam. Study to understand and be able to apply the knowledge even if you are unsure of the drug or disease take a breath and break it down. You know more than you think you do. This video as well as your 1 hour review and other study materials helped me tremendously! Your gift is not used in vain, we appreciate you!! 🌹🌹💛

@Omolabake Agunbiade Good Morning, I personally woke up in between 3 am to 5 am to study and used Archer's combo. I found it easier to tackle practice questions with the rationale off and reviewed it after finishing the tests. 2. I did not watch every Archer video but the ones which I did were my weaker areas I watched in a faster speed. I did download notes from most and it was easier to review that way. 3. I reviewed the rationales on break at work and after getting my daughter to bed. Anything I was unsure of I watched a video to get a better understanding 4. I only was allowed to use social media for NCLEX/Nursing related content. Pinterest became my main source. 4. Watch NCLEX Crusaders videos, Beautiful Nursing often as other sources whether driving or washing dishes both were very helpful and Mark K. Was also very helpful but I had the printed notes which I reviewed often. Beautiful Nursing notes, videos, Pinterest and study package were very helpful which is why I made it a point to come back to thank Amanda. 5. Stay encouraged, keep praying! You have come so far, never lose sight of the fact that you are capable. Nursing school proved that. I actually took NCLEX 3 times and went harder with studying each time. You can do it Mama! 🙏🏾💛

1 of the things that you may note is that when you start getting similar questions that should give you a hit of getting a wrong answer and you should sliwdown and read your question. Under pressure we tend to not read the whole question. Remember that within those question there is a right one so eliminate the wrong ones then you have less to choose from. And another pointer. Study daily at home as if you were at school. Do not send your letter right away give your self another week before you send it in and slow down the study But don't stop. A day before your test. Take the day and relax. When you get to the testing site be CALM, COOL , COLECTED. Say a little prayer and give it to GOD. Good luck taking your test.

For me, it was all about preparation. I stuck to practicing UWORLD, and Archer, and studied the Mark K lectures 2 times, and a 3rd time on more important lessons like delegation and priority. I was scoring in the low 70's on practice tests by the end of my studying. And the result in the end was the NCLEX was more anxiety-causing than difficult. My advice is simply to make a study schedule and stick to it. The anxiety will probably be there no matter what just because this is so important to you. But soon you will be in your nursing career and looking back on social media at the nursing classes going through the same things you went through, being so happy that is not you anymore :)

Hi Amanda, can you please further explain the +/- scoring method I’m so confused I thought we would be receiving partial points with the “0/1 scoring method” but the +/- method threw me off because of the same question you showed with the same answers but with different scoring, will the scoring differ from questions ?

  • @BeautifulNursing

    @BeautifulNursing

    Жыл бұрын

Hi Elizabeth! No problem! :) You do get partial points for both with the answers you get correct! The difference is: 0/1 scoring method = EARN 0 points for INCORRECT answers +/- scoring method = SUBTRACT 1 point for each INCORRECT answer Either way, these scoring methods are a 10000000x better than the old NCLEX. When I took the old NCLEX, it was either pass/fail. if I got a SATA and had 3 right and 1 wrong, then I would get the whole question wrong. Now you get points for what you got right. So my advice is that if you are not certain about a specific answer, do not pick it! It is better to get points by picking the answers you know to be true! :)
