I don’t know how many times I traded beer for shrimp and I mean a lot of shrimp. I always take a case of miller or Bud off shore. Just make sure you have a great big cooler for the shrimp.

Well buddy at least it was a Jack that broke your net and not a 10 pound speck. I broke so many cheap nets that I just started using a hand gaff and lipped those monsters offshore. The rod? Well you said you didn't like it anyway, but it was a really good video. Come to Texas and fish with my crew.

Man you are a glutton for punishment! My days of wrassling with those guys are over. When I did target them I used a conventional reel with 50 mono and a stout rod. You could put the hammer to them. You just have to get a reel made for casting so you wouldn't backlash. You definitely have a point about the lack of leverage on that Seadoo. It doesn't seem like it is a good platform.

I have a TowBoat US subscription, they will come get me if I break down. I carry a radio, Garmin inReach satellite messenger, and a PLB rescue beacon in case stuff hits the fan. I would never go offshore without having alll 3 of those.
