Just got back from San Jose little Saigon today. I can't believe how expensive it is now. Ate at Pho Hoa, Pho was way too salty. I don't recommend that place ever. Always stop at Kim's Sandwiches on Tully road as well . Left there with $140 worth of food to go lol...@@Judy_R

Vietnamese are the nicest people anyway but when you make the effort to learn their language they welcome you so much.. its such a nice feeling.. they know its not an easy language I guess.. can't wait to get back to Saigon.. have fun at home.. maybe see ya around Saigon dude.

There is a Pho Drive Thru restaurant that just opened up earlier this year in Orlando that makes their pho noodles fresh as well. Their pho broth is to die for. I recommend trying their pho with beef short ribs.

If you are ever in San Diego, there is a Banh Mi place call Be Le on University is da bomb. They have two locations but the on on University is BEST. Also another Banh Mi place inside Lucky Star in Mira Mesa is also great.

Hey Phuc Map, have u ever eaten "bún nước lèo", đặc sản Sóc Trăng; u need to able to handle fermented fish, an acquired taste like mam tom. Very hard to find even in HCMC. Maybe u can do an episode on it :)

We got, Southern viet food (phoholic), hue food (hue kitchen), northern pho (pho thin), banh xeo Van the OG since 1975. Tram chim for do nau. You have to come here man, can’t wait to meet you 👍 I’ve lived in little Saigon SoCal all my life and I’ve been to vietnam. I can say that some viet dishes here are even better than vietnam.

Its funny that your name is Phuc Map. My girlfriends family calls me Ca Map, I have shark tattoos because originally my KZread channel was a California Diving Channel and I generally love filming the ocean. But the family and Vietnamese I generally meet are in disagreement with what Ca Map actually means which i find funny. To the family its suppose to mean FAT SHARK. But to Viets i meet sometimes they say Yes its fat shark but others will say no it means fat fish, and to others no it means whale. LOL Im not sure why the large disagreement on a nickname but there is one on mine. My name is Kalani but that is far too complicated for Viets so i just stick with Ca Map or David haha. Actually whats your take on my nickname? Ca Map Fat Shark, Fat Fish or Whale? lol

Even in Vietnamese "Cá means fish, Mập means fat." But put together "CÁ MẬP" simply it is just the name calling for "SHARK." CÁ MẬP means SHARK.

pho hoa started here in San Jose. They have no flavor and taste is for non viets. You will hardly see any Vietnamese eating there..
