Ha! Alfred Dunner I'm 70 and that was a label my mom wore. It's so funny that you like it and I think of it as little old lady. The long skirts and chunky shoes (Elaine Benses' Style) I did wear at the end of the eighties. I love to watch vintage style because as you said, it all comes back around.

Just curious if you had ever thought about travelling to Canada in the fall!! The weather is immaculate and the trees are absolutely gorgeous! (Very similar to New England) Not all of Canada is made equal, of course but just wondered if you’d thought about it!

as a canadian myself, i have to say, i prefer to take my fall trips in New England (upstate NY, i.e., Lake George, Woodstock VT, Franconia Notch in NH, Maine, etc). I feel the the US just does halloween and fall better in general (plus they have Duncan, trader joe's, target etc). if I were to do a fall trip in Canada though, particularly in Ontario, I would say Algonquin would be a good place to explore, or Prince Edward County (making a visit to Presqu'ile Provincal Park ) or the Niagara area (stopping at Long Point PP). I feel like Carrie could get down with prince edward county or the Niagara region since it's a wine region. If you do decide, though, take a look at the leaf peeping chart to see the status of the colour change :) When it comes to other provinces, I would say Lake Magog in Quebec in the fall would be great (more for outdoors lovers), and Kelowna in BC would be amazing in fall (although rn it's in a pretty precarious state with the wildfires unfortuantely :( ). I feel like Carrie will be going back to the UK though xD

Ohhh my god that tapestry bag just unlocked a childhood memory. I live in the UK and I’m pretty sure my parents had a sewing box with the same teddy bear print! It must have made it overseas haha. Love it!

Love love love! You have to come over to the upstate NY/New England area for the cute fall fits. You killed it with those skirts and that Moto jacket. I like that you brought up keeping staple pieces/archiving for future uses. If there’s anything I learned from my dad it’s that styles will come and go but they’ll usually always make a come back. So those pieces that you’re in love with it never hurts to keep them for future use. ❤️💕

The shoes look very similar to Skechers. I have a pair of Skechers jammers which are an amazing blend of sneaker and loafer. Skechers are so comfortable and they dupe all kinds of brands....so I would recommend those!

I buy a lot of secondhand leather coats on Poshmark and tbh every time they’re worth the money. If you take care of them, they’ll last foreverrrr so I think of those prices as investments rather than looking for a steal. Obsessed with all of your finds and the burgundy dress has sooooo many options for how to rock it!

Fortune + Ivy is a Stitch Fix brand (I used to work there 🙃) also if you take your docs to a shoe tailor (cannot for the life of me remember what they’re called. Peddler? Idk but they can stretch the shoe for you so it hurts less to break in.

Yes cause bought black quilted leather Charming Charlie cross body bag and it started peeling off. But one good thing is I can use all the golden hardware off the bag for another bag I'm making.

I found a super thick brown belt at the Amish store in Rockville In. At was $34.00 + taxes. But it has been a good sturdy one cause I use it too put the dog lease on so my pup doesn't pull my back out of place. And its held up well. And I buy belts from my goodwill store $3.99 is so much cheaper.

if you ever want a super soft pair of docs, i have a pair of 1460 pascal virginia leather and i swear i didn’t even have to break them in! they are my comfiest pair of docs and one of my go to pairs of shoes! i think the virginia leather would be a good bet
