In case you haven't made a decision on the vanity yet, if you went with the double sink vanity, you could push it to one side and fill the gap with little 4-5 inch shelves.

My thoughts exactly, make storage space
hayleys immediate "thats a rip off" to the skittles killed me 😂😂
Vanity thoughts: In smaller bathrooms where you don't have much space for shelves or don't have a closet, I feel like double sinks might be a waste, more counter space is always a plus - it gives room to set down clothes when showering / getting ready in the morning, room to set makeup or other products / things you normally like to keep in reaching distance etc * signed someone who's had WAY too much experience with bathrooms lacking counter space lol

Agree….most kids want their privacy so it would be kid at a time in the bathroom?
On the bathroom vanity you can use spacer boards on each side and paint them the same color as your bathroom. You can attach the spacers with "L" brackets.
On the vanity, if the space is 52” and the standard cabinet is 48”, you could set the vanity to one side and add 4” shelves on the other which would be perfect for rolled up extra towels or extra rolls of TP. Just an idea.

Good thing you bought the Skittles before they take out the red ones. Some health issue with the red dye They did the same with the red M&Ms years ago. But then they brought them back. i love gum ball machines. I would love to have a single one.
We did a old buffet cabinet in a house and cut a hole and put a drop in sink in it, then used boat varnish on the top to protect the wood. It had two long drawers in it too. Think outside the box!
Josh and Hayley, for me, following you with this adorable little gumball machine is more exciting than even your house flip ... I get excited from the second you put the key in.

As resellers we have to constantly learn and study. We are the earths keepers. Keeping things in circulation and out of landfills, is a win. People don’t like to search, WE DO! It is such a fun/hard/rewarding job! Thanks for showing ALL parts of it.
If I had matching tile I would complete the floor, leave an even gap on each side and hang some towel bars on each wall if it was a double sink. Use thicker base board to make the bottom gap look smaller. Having space between the counter and the walls is kind of a look right now anyway. Love to Mose!
The vanity is a great deal! I think you should go for it. The double sink is the great selling point. 👍🏽💯
Haley, you hold your own with Josh all day long. Some days are just better than others and your smile could light up a dark night. We are baby resellers and happy in our little niche but we love to watch you guys
I've been looking at cabinets lately. You can use a bottom cabinet, then get spacer sections that match the cabinet, and cut one to fit on each side. You can then cut a separate vanity top the right length to fit, drop in a sink or two, and then you're good.
Hi guys! It would take a little bit of elbow grease...but...speaking as a furniture flipper, & up-cycler, you could consider going to Goodwill, buying a 52 inch chest of drawers and convert it into a vanity. You guys are our favorites!! Good luck! :)
@cathyhouston5688

Dresser is longer and lower than a chest of drawers which is higher and more narrow.
If you get double sinks you have to pay for the plumbing for 2 sinks, faucets and so on.The blue one does cost more but plumbing cost may make it cheaper in the long run. Adding a wood moulding on the ends of the sink will fill in your space run it down the sides as well. No extra space.
Use filler boards to cover the space, same as they do for kitchen cabinets.
@Lunafalls

But the vanity top is short, too.
I love your excitement over the gum ball machine! As far as goodwill pricing, I just find myself being more selective in what I purchase and that is not a bad thing.
Vanity idea: center the 48” double sink and build small shelving units to sit on each end by attaching them to the wall but covering the gap
make the walls and floor cleanable down the sides and put a towel rail each side for hand towels. As for the gap for the top maybe some type of beading or water strip.
Find an old dresser even antique that is in good condition and turn it into a vanity for the bathroom. Will give it lots of personality!!
We use a kitchen cabinet store for our rentals. They can get vanities and have fillers that match. Some people dont realize most of the "custom" cabinet dealers have products for all budgets. They may not come in all the colors, but enough to pick from and it will fit perfect.
Hey guys, The double sink vanity is your best option. And, the leveling concrete sounds logical. It's super easy and works great for that size space.
I would definitely go with the double sink and make some small shelves on one side, perhaps to roll and display towels.
Hey guys! I flipped houses for over 10 years and I feel your pain. My recommendation is to get a linen tower to go beside a vanity. I did this in several homes and it looks fantastic and provides more storage. It also looks like a custom built-in. All you would have to do is move the electrical for the vanity light. Easy peazy
24:32 - Remember that the width of those vanities are at their widest (top granite/marble slab) the base is smaller so you'd have much larger gaps on each side then 0.6" or whatever it is.
Hey, idea for the "gap". Mount a small shelf on one side and seal the bottom gap with a 2x4 and drywall.
I’m glad you got the skittles figured out, those will do well, I am just as excited about the gum ball machine as you two are, it is so silly, but so fun. If the little toys don’t sell well, get some more sugar in there.
Hey Josh, I’m not a GC or plumber but if you put in a double sink, I think you’re going to have to redo the plumbing because what is there now only services one sink. You’ll need two faucets and two drains. Maybe you can find some type of dresser or table in your thrifting ventures and put a vessel sink on it. Or have one of your woodworking viewers build you a simple vanity to fit the space. If you haven’t already, check out Southeastern Salvage on Garners Ferry, they might have something that works. Good luck!
I was thinking about the gap issue in your bathroom. What about putting wainscoting on the wall behind the sink, so that if there is a gap it won't matter because it will look pretty ? It doesn't cost a ton and looks nice. Also I wanted to mention that I really enjoy the things Haley( so sorry if I spelled it wrong) picks up to sell. I think you have a very good eye and the contribution you make should not be underestimated. You and Josh make a great team.
I am unbelievably excited and interested in the gum ball machine 🍬
Hello Josh and Hailey! My husband and I recently renovated my parents home here in So. Cal. Like you are doing, we completely renovate every room in the house due to the fact that it is my inheritance. Our goal was to make the house appear as if Joanna Gaines entered the home and waved her magic wand, lol 😂. We succeeded and thank God above we received a bidding war within 4 days of listing it. We got $50,000.00 over asking price ($845,000.00). We purchased bathroom cabinets similar to the ones you are looking at in this video. To remedy the gaps, we installed an 8" high backsplash that surrounded each cabinet (the 2 corner connected wall areas). We then finished the edges of the tile backsplash with tile trim pieces that matched our white subway tile. The edge trimming pieces were placed the tops, bottoms and sides of the backsplash areas (2 bathrooms). This completely concealed the gaps and looked amazing. I personally love, love, love the navy blue cabinet, yet all three look awesome. Best of luck! 😃

I just wanted to add that the pipe connectors can be easily shifted/swiveled with the proper pieces added which could remedy the gap issue in addition to the tile trim. 😊
Home Depot has really nice new bathroom vanities at a much better cost. Love idea other people have about shelves to fill the side gaps. Won't have to get such a wide vanity.
But why did seeing Beano so happy with his ball make me tear up?! 🥹
Don't be discouraged kids. You both are damn geniuses. That Dino snuggle is adorable. Hope it's still available also I'm going to order the razor for my almost blind 78yr old Dad. Thanks for deals for ppl struggling ❤
When my best friend was remodeling her home on a shoe string budget, my husband and I helped with painting a vanity that was about 1 1/2 inches short on each side. It worked out great, looks awesome and it was the more affordable option. The area on each side gives it a great look. No problem with cleaning the small area on each side! Problem solved!
I have the suitcase that matches that Lily Bloom bag! I didn't know there were matching luggage pieces. Leave a large enough gap next to the vanity so it doesn't look like poor planning. It will be easier to clean that way too.
Could you maybe do something like a pull out medicine holder, kind of like one of those pull out spice racks that you can find in kitchens? A 4 inch wide would be the perfect size. Just a thought.

The Awkward Yeti is an awesome comic strip! You guys would love it. That character is from a strip about a heart and a brain. The brain always wants to do the responsible thing while the heart wants to have fun and chase butterflies. It’s very much like me and my husband! 😂
We remodeled our bathrooms a few years back, and faced the oddball size dilemma. At that time, Home Depot was doing custom sized vanities. Don't know if they still are ...
Love your videos. You both are so positive and always have smiles on your faces!!!
I "vote" for double vanity and narrow shelving I❤ all the story lines you have going House flip, booth (with gumball machine), Disney buyout. Fabulous!!

Think about getting a vintage low bureau for your vanity! Get your plumber or carpenter cut the top for your sink and rework the drawers to accommodate plumbing. It really looks custom and if you’re not crazy about the wood color then paint with chalk paint that you can just paint with no prep, no sanding, etc.! Check images/google for ideas. You guys are inspiring! Good luck.
Thank you both! It's so interesting how the house is turning out❤👏

I saw on Pinterest a guy cut the marble top (flush) smooth with the vanity / wood, and pust it to one side, either side you think woukd look best.. then he built a small custom cabinet that stuck out 2" and went up passed tbe sink 6" with a marble top, and used it for perfume / cologne.. it gave it a bold look and it looked really nice !! ❤ Great job on the house 🏡 👍
Amazing what you find at thrift shops. The bins at the beginning we don't have any thing like that here love when you find great things ✌️ From Scotland
Let me say that I am not a carpenter but I have an idea for your vanity problem. If you could get the vanity top to fit, you could get any vanity bottom and put wood on both sides. Then you could pit a piece of trim to cover up the wood . If you feel industrious you could make your own cement counter top. I know that I am not industrious . Thank you for sharing your content. I look forward to your next adventure.
I'd go with the smaller double sink vanity for budget purposes and maybe you could put long, thin, decorative baskets on each end to hide the gap, which could also be used to hold toiletries, etc.
Thanks for keeping me entertained guys! Keep up the good work!
Y’all are awesome! We had a similar issue…we ended up buying a dresser the right size, using butcher block with major sealant and cut holes for bowl style sinks-cheaper than any other options we could find!
Loved this longer video- because you two are fantastic!
My husband and I have flipped many homes and I'm a real estate broker in San Diego. I'm not a fan of double sinks in such a small vanity because there isn't much counter space and both of them probably won't be used at the same time. You would also have the additional expense of installing two faucets. The shelf idea is good except, the counter top will not span the space. What I've done in the past is purchase base cabinets to fit the space, then purchase a piece of quartz and have it cut to fit the space include a 4"-6" backsplash (it's a rental and without a backsplash your tenants may cause water damage to the walls) and finally a separate sink.
Love the longer videos, thanks for sharing.
You guys are so much fun. Thanks for sharing
I have used old dressers and put the bowl sink on top and they look great!!!! Seal the top of dresser several times!
Stud work each side of the vanity and Shower match white tiles over the woodwork
Buy 2 single vanities. Push each to the opposite walls and get a cabinet to go in-between. Run electric into the back and it can be used for hair dryer, electric razor ect.
i am LOLing at the lady in the background (top left) 1:18 She is just throwing things left and right lol ain’t no time being wasted hunting for good stuff. Love it!
That wooden base double sink vanity is a super clean modern look - perfect and by far the best one there imho! Id get it and figure something out what to do with the extra space later. Just add matte black faucet hardware and you'll be GODLEN! 🤩 Clean sleek neutral looks are always best- stay away from colored cabinetry in rentals!
You suckered me in to the razors for the husband! You all have given me many hours of entertainment, the least we can do is try the razor! Thanks for the videos!!
Look for a four inch rev-a -shelf pull out base cabinet. You just need to match the front panel to the vanity and there could be storage for Combs brushes hair dryers whatnot. Or you could bye a dresser with doors instead of drawers and cut it down to fit the space, that would be really cool.
Great video. I so look forward to Thursdays. Love the longer videos too.❤
Regarding the vanity, how about getting a 36" or 42" single sink one, move it to one side of the opening and install a tower cabinet or shelf in between the vanity and wall to use for sheets, towels and toiletries.
Been using Harry’s since almost when they started. I signed up for their subscription every 3 months and got so many blades I had to stop. Now I only shave my neck and touch up my beard but I’m still using those extra blades over 5 years later! Definitely recommend
You can get the 48” stock vanity & fill in the two sides with an attractive piece of wood molding…easy peasy & if you buy a stock size, affordable!
2 things…smaller vanity base and a tall linen cabinet next to it, or find a dresser or some other furniture type thing and add the sink. Just some ideas!
Sweet of you to give Bino and Milkshake the ball.😀 Skittles, Josh and his „gumballmachine“😂🤣 a lot of joy to watch. Of course, everytime it feels very good to see Hayley, too!
Another great episode 👍.. love the part ; Hayley :" you tamed the beast" Josh : "yeah it takes balls" . Lmao 😂🤦😂
Look for a dresser and convert it into a vanity. We've done that at least twice before and they turned out great.
Totally love the "Just looking" shopping trips :P
Leave the gaps on both sides and put towels rods half way up on the walls there for the double vanity. The towels will fill the gaps but still be usable space
Smaller vanity, off set it,add a small 2 1/2' closet or tall cabinet for towels toiletries etc
Y'all both pointed out how it was quiet at the bins, without telling each other. That's crazy lol
Wow the last Goodwill was loased with good suff! Thanks so much for sharing.🥰
As far as the sinks go, I would go with the double sink and not worry about the gap. I would probably even put that in my own home.
You can add some decorative crown moulding around the top of vanity to cover gap
You could always put in a piece of spacer trim and then trim the vanity top as well with marble as well. They. Sell pieces that go along the wall at home improvement stores.
Throughly enjoyed today’s video and hope that y’all let us tag along on more house shopping adventures! Would love to see more of the flip reno as well. I thought Haley did great at the bins! Don’t worry about the soap dish…you won’t notice it once the room is finished and decorated and I think finishing up each room before starting another is a great idea! I’m wondering if you added bead board to each side of the vanity opening if it would help with the gap 🤔
Vanity issue idea: Use a pedestal sink or 2 and put floating shelves up on one or both sides of the walls for towels and basket for other storage on the shelves.
Another great video guys! I do enjoy the longer vlogs too!
Just discovered you all. I love your videos. Your bins are an hr from me. I use to go there once a week but my husband is terminally ill so I have no clue when I’ll get back there.when I went I was there 3-4 hours. Before his illness took a turn for the worse we went to the Asheville Bins for 3 days. I love it cause they change out hourly. Following you on the flip house is fun too. Best wishes on your goal.
I love the longer ones. This video was great. As always! ❤from the Netherlands
On the vanity.... You could go with a freestanding one( like a vintage dresser look with a sink in it) and it would be ok to have space on either side then.
Hello to you both . Ton of great finds. I love that some of your GW has set prices still. The ones I go to here in St Louis don't anymore . Neither do they use bags .
You're the best, I always watch and enjoy every video.❤ Love you guys 💕
Really like the bath redo - we did the same thing with a pink bathroom - loved how it turned out. For the vanity, you can get a smaller vanity and add a drawer or storage unit along side of it. You owe Milkshake a toy. Stay safe.
We had a similar bathroom issue and bought a smaller vanity that didn't touch the walls with a glass top and just fixed the floor. It looks really good and was cheaper and easier than trying to find an exact fit or custom building. There's no rule that says the vanity must fit tight to the walls :)
For the bathroom, scoot the double sink vanity all the way to the left. Take out that silly wall in between the toilet and the vanity and patch the floor with tile.
Excited for the new video!!! I might just edit a new one for my reselling KZread channel too!!!! You guys motivate me!!!!
Buy the double sink with the wood bottom and paint it the color you want it. Slap a extra piece of drywall in and you will have a almost perfect fit.
I really like the longer video. Thank you!
Very cool and enjoyable variety in this video. For the vanity, put the vanity against one wall, and build shelving for the other side, from the counter on up. Below the counter, put a filler strip in, set back an inch from the face of the vanity, and paint it to match the shelves.
You could look into old dressers that could be reworked into a bathroom cabinet. That way, you would just need to buy the sinks.
I’d investigate those tall thin spice rack type pull outs you get in fitted kitchens for your ‘gap’ as you could potentially store toiletries in the shelves If you can’t get one that is exactly the right size you can still buy the pull out mechanism and fashion something the right width But definitely the double sink As for covering the gap at the counter level I’d try and make it a feature - perhaps a little tiled ledge where you could put a vanity tray or small faux plants or toothbrush mug etc
That tweed messenger bag was an amazing bins find. What I love about the bins is that you can picture that some of these things were on regular Goodwill racks, but were overlooked for other more obviously bolo items. Does the liquidation place sell countertops (with built in sinks) separately? If so, you might be able to buy whatever base you want and just customize it yourself by cutting out fronts on either side to fill the gaps.
Try looking for a dresser then add the sink. If you put just one sink then maybe you could put something on the side for shelving for towels etc.
