@@iantate5195his point was that he made that video for copart, they clearly knew it wasn’t driving and anyone with any common sense understands if you’re working with someone you shouldn’t have to hope they tell you something as important as the car doesn’t actually drive wether the S is there or not.

Turned out alright on the Dog Shet Gearbox DSG. Chances are when Copart created the listing, there was still enough oil in the box to make it work. It might have drained whilst it stood in the yard

Turned out ok in the end, but plenty of grief with it not driving. Totally honest video, thanks for sharing your journey.

Lovely! It has a Copart sticker on the reg plates which shows it was sold to Copart by a private seller through the buy your car program, someone hit it gearbox leaked and they got rid of it. Nice buy… if it has a duck tape on the plates it’s an insurance right off.. the ones to buy also

Great video thanks. I bought a Ford fiesta 2016 N/S damaged needed two doors as they told me. They didn't tell me the damage behind it. Wasn't a simple job putting new doors on. Anyway got it done and using it now.

Great video, How do you drive the cars for test drive it's so frustrating that you need to tax , insure and MOT it to be able to drive it. And don't understand trades insurance and what does it cover ?

I've bought a lot of cars from Copart and I can assure you it is them that damage the gearbox sump you can see the fork Marks in your video

Got nicked in the accident or by a lazy forklift driver. Can be X or U minor cosmetic, need to also check has RUNS & DRIVES. BUT there get out is it ran and drove when tested when entered Salvage yard. If they then list but a dozy forklift driver damages there is no further check if damage caused while in storage. You can now pay £10 for a virtual walkround with a Copart employee on WhatsApp. I try to do this right at the end of the auction then bid. Even then can still arrive with more damage. All you can do is refuse it when collect / delivered and raise a case immediately so they are aware of the discrepancy. HAS TO be done upon handover straight away, can't have it a day even a few hours then report will go nowhere

I've not used copart in over a year, there's not much profit in the cars today after all the fees and extra damage they cause during storage

in fairness it could have had enough oil to drive when copart tested, but slowly leaked out sitting in the yard

Fork lift damaged that, I purchased a GTI and seen the forklift nick the edge of my mechatronic which caused an oil leak. Refused to take the vehicle and left it there

@@SALVAGENATION unfortunately not, but they did refund me some of the money am guessing the admin and loading fee charge. Nearly impossible to get a full refund from Copart. Told them to keep the car in storage for free until am next in the area.

Yes, the drivers of the forklift are so rough and just do not take care when lifting and moving cars I've seen them put forklifts through a few cars that didn't have bad damage until they were moved by Copart's forklifts.

I can’t believe you haven’t got more dirt in that paint when painting in a with all that dust and junk lying around in that workshop ,time to have a clear out

Used Polo prices are crazy high, especially Autos. Finding a good one amongst all the neglected and abused ones can be difficult. I went through this in February 2022 and ended up with a 2016 5 door 2 owner at a main dealer. Price was a little high but 24 month warranty and so far, no issues. Best used car I've ever bought (but it's manual, not the problematic DSG)

Dee...if you get the chance ask these guys...if the public are not allowed to inspect the cars how are we meant to do our due diligence and confirm that the car is as advertised? All a Copart yard needs to do is give buyers a 2 hour slot twice a week...let's say for example 7 to 9 am, Monday and Friday when forklifts aint in use to have a look round. They are pulling a fast one and they know it. Dee maybe you could reach out to the KZreadr Blackbelt Barrister and see what he thinks?

And another thing...not once in all of the videos I've seen at Copart have the forklift drivers looked like they care how they treat someone else's property. When the car has been brought in to Copart a buyer won't know if a forklift has damaged a car but once buyers have had a look around the car and taken videos/photos we can say look at the photos this damage wasn't here when we checked it over.

Definitely forklift damage ... The undertray was punctured from the floor side , I'm no mechanic but I do a lot about fork lift operations Nice video 👍🇬🇧

Yeah forklift driver definitely had his tilt all the way up before going fully under the car, very common damage to happen with forklift

How can you view the car to check it over if they do not slow viewings anymore? Copart is the most horrendous car company I've ever dealt with, anyone that doesnt think they purposely miss things is a fool. I just dont bother with them and haven't for a few years, seems there getting worse not better.

Definitely a ragged forklift operator caused the underside damage,Copart want to be made aware of this,a strong letter needs to be penned

That's why copart Do not want members viewing cars also I've notice on front end or rear end if there's not much damage they have bonnet open but bad damage bonnet is closed don't show any pictures.every body knows copart are dishonest.

Ive heard copart do hide damage or miss identify issues. Say its a run and drive and it doesnt drive. Also, the categories are sometimes wrong. We just got a car from Copart and when we received it the bootlid, bumper and rear lights were smashed on the rear. Like it was picked buy a forklift without the sponge stuff you showed on your video. We have now been in a 1 month long back and forth with them to get the car taken back and refunded. They or the delivery company they used caused the damage. Its been sitting on the drive for a month. Really frustrating. The complaints process is awful. Their complaints team has no direct contact number. Just want a refund. They even suggested we discuss with the third party delivery to company to discuss repairs... wtf... lol. Scam artists.

Its the name of the game. With salvage theres always some sort of a gamble. When i won this akil shouted at me. But it is wt it is. My client had 4500 to spend on a new car. I got this all in for 3900. He was still happy. Minus my hassle lol 😂
