Poor Miffy rabbit ㅋㅋㅋ. A little tip when working with polymer clay is using rubbing alcohol/acetone! If you soak a Q-tip in the acetone, you can run it over the surface of your clay pieces before baking and it will get rid of any fingerprints, dust, or discolouration from other clay used! It makes the clay look brighter and cleaner! Hope it helps! 🤎🐻🧸🤎

I'm so surprised you guys are trying polymer clay. It can be so exciting but also so annoying lol 😂 May I give you a tip? 1) use wet towels for your fingers when you start with white clay to clean it. You could also use charcoal on your figures even before you bake them. This makes it even more realistic and also looks better. You can do so many things with it, coloring and painting polymer clay. And you absolutely have to try transulant clay. This is white clay which becomes somewhat translucent when it's baked. This is great for making sushi clay or fruit clay figures and jewelry. I've been making polymer clay for over 30 years and I still have tools from back then. Metallic powder or gemstones that I've bought from our ever first clay store. I use Fimo clay and it brings back so many childhood memories. I think it's so nice that you try it out and let your creativity run free ❤

Cozygirl, don't give up! Color mixing can be really hard, but you can find a color you really like that you can't from a package, once you understand the theory. Try looking up color theory videos or texts to help you! I think you will be able to make colors that match what you want and give your works a personal charm. I'm happy you aren't giving up just because of beginning hardships. Seeing you try again makes it that much more exciting to see you succeed! Going to the craft store looked fun! It destroys my wallet haha but they're so fun to shop. I think I get new hobbies every time I go... Good luck with learning how to use polymer clay! I used to get so frustrated at times working with it lol. Am I the only one who thinks the Miffy head is cute? It looks like a real chocolate cookie. Also acetone/nail polish remover can help smooth and clean the clay of dust, fingerprints, stains from other clay after it's been baked! It saved me a lot :)

You might want to try using a separate oven thermometer, it helps a great deal especially because oven temperature tend to fluctuate with use. Just a tip! 😊

You should try working with cold porcelain clay, it’s easier than polymer clay and you won’t need baking!
