Great service announcement. People think just having the power, makes the car quick. Everything else needs to be set up to put it to the ground properly, and it takes a decent driver at certain power levels to properly drive high powered cars. If you aren't gathering data and making the right changes to get a consistent final product, don't expect to be quick, no matter how much HP you have.

I feel like most people don't understand that ET is a measure of traction whereas the trap speed is the true barometer of the car's horsepower/tuning. So when they run high 10's but trap 140+ the car is more than capable of going mid to high 9's, it's just the driver skill at that point

@@oliverbryan6883yes! 100% there is a lot tuning suspension that contributes to great 60 foots and ET's, lots of the NHRA stock eliminator cars will run great ET's with low trap speeds but they're suspension and tire setups are even more critical than the power plant themselves

Didn't realize stock ZL1's only make 10whp more than my HCI SS 1LE.. And why does everyone think they need a 2650.. Those small top mounts make such fun low end grunt and spool up so fast that I would never want a 2650 until I had completely maxed out the existing stock blower.. I don't get the guys with brand new cars, hardly even driven, thinking bigger is always better, and believing all the "numbers" posted by salesmen on the internet..

Had a rotofab intake on it so technically not “stock” prob 10-15 more than bone stock.

What’s the shop consensus on building the 6th gen ZL1’s and C7 Z06’s auto trans. Does one car react better for street racing and drag racing? Are they pretty similar because it’s the same motor? Or does the 10 speed perform better than the vettes 8 spd?

Yes of course we do, we even said in this video we will use it for the testing of the intake we make.

Look at Timing towards end of Pull, I bet it's spiking with Factory Tune, hence the jump in HP.🤔

Tell those guys to just buy a used plaid for 60k and they can run low 9s as much as they want.

There is 0 fun in that. It's the most boring 9 second car that's ever existed. I didn't think it was possible for a car that fast to be that boring but the ev have accomplished just that. Nobody cares about a plaid. You can buy a jet and go faster too, nobody cares. Those aren't even cars in this sense and shouldn't even be compared. They're closer to a kitchen appliance.

Only way to get a time, buy a Plaid. After a few identical passes, most prefer attempting to improve.

10,000 hour Rule, to become a master of drag racing it will require 10,000 hours doing it. No shortcuts available.

If the guy was smart he would have brought energy drinks.. I know these guys are for real!, but I wouldn't want anyone drunk around my car...

The SS isn’t factory supercharged so anything we do for one would be custom it wouldn’t make sense to mass produce on our end.

Trying to purchase Zl1 front tank but site keeps giving error message about fraud. Is something wrong with your website?

Most likely the global B and factory wide band they can “self adjust” and adapt the tune where as ZL1s and C7s can not.

I have a 2014 ss 6 speed tuned 700hp 650 tq quick question twin turbos otw all mods but I'm lowered 1.5 with 335/25/20s with new twin setup would I need do do anything about the drop or tire size? Thanks

With 1k plus hp I would think your gonna need to be on a 17 or 15" drag radial to get best traction otherwise you're making more power just to spin. Mickey et street ss 20" drag radial has good reviews but idk if I'd work with that much power rwd.Let me know what you end up using and the suggestions you get. I'm going to build a g8 so would like to know.

I saw the same type of guys buying brand new fox bodies back in the day and dropping 25 grand on mods. And it gets you nothing in the end.

I didn't realize that you guy's even worked on cars. When I called about having some work done on my car all I got was excuses as to why you couldn't do the work.
