@@janemillerick9614, She was one of the main reasons I watched 'The Good Wife' for all those seasons, and hope to watch the 2nd through current seasons of 'The Good Fight' if they ever get around to putting the reruns on broadcast/cable television. (I refused to be forced to pay for CBS All Access, just to watch 1 series). She was also hilarious during her guest star appearances as Leonard's mother on 'The Big Bang Theory'.

I wasn’t exposed to the Broadway scene as I’m not American, but I loved Baranski in The Good Wife and love her in The Good Fight.

To be honest, MOST of America hasn't been exposed to the Broadway scene, either. This is a huge country. Other than the people who live near NYC, and the people that jet back and forth between New York and Southern California, the vast majority of Americans have never seen a Broadway show.

I still have the Playbill from the original 1984 production of The Real Thing with Jeremy Irons, Glenn Close, Cynthia Nixon, Kate Burton, Peter Gallagher, and a then-unknown Christine Baranski, directed by Mike Nichols at the Plymouth Theater. I was so blown away I looked her up in the phone book -- and there she was! Remember phone books?

Married to my favorite soap villian Billy Clyde Tuttle, I discovered her in the 80s in 9 1/2 weeks. She looks even better now.

I'm a Californian born and bred. I've never had the opportunity to the pleasure of going to New York City for a visit, or to see a Broadway play. But Christine Baranski to me, epitomizes what a true Broadway star is, (in part, from having access to PBS). I don't believe there are, many of especially of that caliber. So watching the segment last night was just pure joy for me and Stephen's no slouch either!! The show has been dam good since the cast and crew has returned to the theater, I hope it just stays that way all summer at least! 🌟🎭👏🏾🎉🎶🎹🌹🗽💋🌈🙋☮️❤️

Seeing Baranski make her stunning entrance reminded me how much I missed showbiz during the pandemic. I loved her story about breaking up with the boyfriend who didn't know who Sondheim was. Everyone knows Sondheim now, but back then this just meant that her boyfriend was straight.
