Surprisingly good mold considering the source and what a beautiful pour, your technique is obviously successful. I have a suggestion... try mixing a little varnish into your paint before hitting the numbers, it'll make them a little more resilient with consistent usage because trust me, whomever ends uo with those stunning dice is gonna be rolling them, a lot.
not a bad looking mold. i do suggest that you flood the mold and add resin to the cap itself before putting it in place. a good flood will help greatly with bubbles

What does flooding the mold mean?
I am shocked at how good these came out, without even using a pressure pot! Awesome!
Your video reminded me of the first time I used this mold. You need to overfill a lot more than you did and you need to put a weight on the cap because it bends after the first use. I use a stack of cement coasters. It takes a good 30-40 ml to get enough overfill to remove voids.

Is this the same mold that they sell on Amazon? I just purchased on one that looks the same and it should arrive tomorrow. I paid about 9$ for it so still not expensive. I will follow this tutorial with your added suggestions. Thanks!

Yes, it's the same mold I got mine from Temu for $5 though. Another tip is wait until a few minutes shy of the pot life before putting the cap on. This gives a little more time for bubbles to rise. You will get bubbles no matter what unless you have a pressure pot but giving as much time to de-gas a possible does help with voids

@@mentha_101 Thank you so much! I don't have a pressure pot yet. I am pretty new to resin, but I am addicted! Have you seen the new " bubble remover" from Resiners. They sell now for about 120$ and you you put the resin in before you put it in the mold.
I can also confirm that these molds (or at least the ones I ordered) do a wonderful job! They're great for beginners since they're not a huge financial investment while you're learning or trying to sort out whether the hobby is right for you. I definitely want to give this band of resin a try, though! Thanks for showcasing this brand of resin and these molds, you showing me the molds can produce such great results help me gain the confidence to buy them and try them out.
I just ordered 2 molds and then saw your vid LOL thanks for the proof of concept
I love this tutorial so much. You're so careful to explain everything you're doing and why, and yet you still keep it relatively simple. It's so much less intimidating that other tutorials I have found. Thank YOU!
Beautiful tutorial. Thanks so much 🙏

Beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful, they look so good ❤
Looks super
Absolutely beautiful dice!!!
They are awesome ❤❤❤
Beautiful use of the mold 🎉🎊🎊👍
Yes I love the colors so gorgeous.
They have come out really well... Love them😍
Very nice ❤
They look amazing. So much information in this video. Thank you.
Around 18:10 you can see that this mold leaves a weird top for the d20 where the cap was. I guess the lid is unfit for d20s, it will always have a bad side and you can’t sand it down because the numbers are to shallow

I have thus mold, makes some kick ass uv resin dice
I got the single dice molds at first and that was a pain to get all the air bubbles out and put the face on, these look great 👍❤️
I'm absolutely in love with your gentle working with resin. So calm, so informative tutorial. 😌 Hey, what's about doing resin shakers? They are really popular now with Korean handmakers.

Thank you so much for your so kind feedback actually It's on my list for so long until these mold came out 😅 I got distracted. Definitely coming soon .♥️
I've been happy with everything I've gotten from Temu. I, too was surprised at the quality of the molds. I may have missed it, did the resin live up to expections?
I'm going to order a mold, and learn how to use these dice. They are beautiful! Loved the video.

They are Dungeons and Dragons dice....
I got thevsame mold, and the dice turned out better than I've had any turn out without a pressure pot! Still had some top face bubbles, but nowhere near as bad as other molds I've tried. I spray some alcohol into the molds before pouring and then spritz the top after filling, but next time im putting the top on the mold after a longer time period.
I bought the mole from temu that looks exactly like that, except with mine the numbers on the top for the d4 were rotated slightly, so like one of the corners instead of being 2,2 ,2 all around, it’s 2, 2, 1 😅 so I’ve tried to fix it but cutting out that triangle
Can you use uv resine too, or only is epoxy resine viable?
Cam these go in a pressure pot? And do you get the raised 1 on the d20???
I got this mold but didn't get to try it yet so I was kinda scared when I saw the video on my front page, but seems like it can create good results so...
You can get a similar effect by using iridescent angel hair (instead of the film). The iridescent angel hair doesn't trap bubbles the way the film does 😊.
the mold isn't terrible but it's so flimsy around the edges that when i briefly hovered my lighter flame over it to pop a few bubbles, the silicone melted slightly, and when the resin cured i had to cut the dice free. now every set i make needs extra trimming and sanding from the ragged edges.
Out of curiosity , do you think a pressure pot would help with the bubbles?
Hello 😀 Can you plese share the name of the "shop" from temu where you got this set? 😇 I would love to try it.
Where can you find the texpert deep pour? I cant seem to find it anywhere
How did you not get the raised edge on the D20? I have these exact same molds and I keep getting a raised ledge around the 1 on the D20..
Galaxy Dice
I also got this mold, what I noticed is that number 1(the top of the mold) on the d20 dice always comes out with some sort of a rim around it, I can't seem to be able to get rid of it and I don't want to sand it down too much. Did yours come out the same way or is there no difference and I just have a faulty mold? Your dice look great, I am so jealous of how beautiful they are

mine does that too, no matter what i weigh it down with. i have not found a solution.
Do I have to mix the two resins a and b?
@teaandart
6 ай бұрын
Yes you have to according to resin instructions.
It's meant to look like a pro mold ( which are actually solid) but isn't..( very deceptive ) I think it would collapse in a pressure pot cus it doesn't have the strength of pro molds. ( also means it won't last long )The lid is also very thin.. it usually needs some weight to stop you getting lifted faces. Also you don't know if the font is commercial licence which is a bad note to. Some of your edges are ripped vyd of that flashing and the D4 is bent.. cus flimsy mold. As to resin8 eli-chem supplied most of their stuff .. so go to eli-chrm for their colours. Resin8 just rebranded them.

Thank you for your feedback. You are right. That's why I didn't mention putting it in pressure pot .Also, I add a disclaimer that these are good for personal use only .But these molds are good for trying when any want to make them to see if they want to invest in this dice craft .Again thank you for your useful tips.

I have a few of these molds and they actually work great in the pressure pot. It’s not flimsy at all! Also it’s best to put pressure on the lid to keep it sealed 100%, but even then it doesn’t buckle when I put another silicone mold on top for the weight inside my pressure pot! With that little extra weight the flashing is extremely minimal! Let’s Resin also sells this exact mold, so I partially assume that the font on the numbers is royalty free but who knows 100%

i've put mine in a pressure pot and it was perfectly fine.
I'm using these mold buts still getting air bubbles, no matter how i treat the resin (slow stir, fire, hot tap water). When i pout I have no bubbles, but then there they are (side, top, weird places). Can't afford a pressure pot and i don't even know if pressure pot is good for this molds. Do you have any advice? Thanks in advance :D

Hi for these molds I recommend low viscosity deep pour resin.
@teaandart

This one or from any other company you like but the resin should be deep pour it takes 2 days to cure but it's best for dice making.

@@teaandart thank you very much. Unfortunately, I'm in Italy and that resin isn't available on Amazon, but thank you anyway ^^ I'll try another deep pour resin ^^
That was a bit fiddly but they turned out fine.
What’s the purpose of the lid?
@EmacQLet1

The lid has the remaining number for the uncovered side
It s eems that the previous molds were more convenient🤔

I was just comparing the after work as those need a bit of sanding, but these have less work to do, but adding the lid is a job .I did get some lovely tips for next .We will see if they work.❤❤❤❤
I will come forward and say be careful what you do on Temu. Do some research about what they do with your information, it's cheap but not as secure as people think. Oh also they're being investigated by the FBI.
well thats disappointing i just got this mold from etsy. i am a seller on there so i try to not support drop shippers.
It's cheap because TEMU uses SLAVE LABOR.
You have to be very careful adding anything inside your dice, it definitely throws the rolls off so you end up with a pretty set of die you can’t use for real game play…
They're Awesome!

why do you put 'DISTURBINGLY Cheap' about the mould? You make it seem as if they are rubbish but you had nothing but success with them. Have you not considered that you're being ripped off for all the expensive mnoulds you buy instead, because I do.

Hi Simon, no disrespect to expensive molds. I do have spend so much money on high-end molds that I show on my channel and support artists that make molds. This one is from temu, hence the wording .These sorts of molds are good for practice before you go for heavy investments.
