They have said 7 focal lengths which is "equivalent" to 7 lenses. So it's basically fair.

​@@adityadas5820by that logic, my single camera phone has 80 focal lengths or 80 lenses by Apple standards as I can digital zoom between 1x and 8x, 0.1 steps at a time by pinching. Apple's way is no different. Taking a 1x full res shot and cropping it after does the same thing!

1. That beebom style presentation is mind blowing.... 2. Hats off to the camera man... 3. The vedio style of outdoor presentation is awesome...

Basically its cropping and rest is software besides the three focal length of their respective lenses... So you can't compare it with a telephoto lens of a camera which uses lens optics.... Also apple says the telephoto lens is 120 mm f2.8 which is bizzare considering the sensor sizes in cell phones.... Aperture or fstops varies with sensor sizes irrespective of focal length... for eg...full frame 50 mm f1.4 on a crop sensor camera would give 75 mm f 2.1 ... so thats there ..

Apple can call it a "Pro Camera" system when they give S23 or Sony like options to play around with aperture, exposure and white balance. Their camera app is still basic and doesn't really give any options for the photographer to explore these options on the go.

Yes, this is a feature introduced in 15 pro & max where the videos can be directly recorded to a ssd connected to iphone.

iphone's marketing is so good that beebum has made video on digital zoom as well 😂

Review about throttling, performance, extreme usage, battery health and how long battery lasts, would be far more different and helpful than other videos I believe

apple is cropping in but doing some processing to get 24mp where as other phones lose some quality

Which gives the option of preserving the full res file and Samsung already has this feature called remaster picture. This focal length promotion is to hide up the a sense of a 70mm eq. lens, which is a disappointment considering 3x is perfect for portrait and videos, 5x means standing too far from the subject and 3x crop just gives a low quality 5MP shot!

S23ultra or IPhone 15 pro max which is the best ?

24 to 28 to 35mm - Isn't that like half a step to 1 step forward and avoid losing any quality at all or is there more magic than that?

Tele: 12MP sensor, 1.12µm pixels, 120 mm equivalent f/2.8-aperture lens, Dual Pixel AF I agree with others, for general use the 77mm telephoto lens on the 15 Pro is more useful than the 120mm telephoto lens on the 15 Pro Max. Certainly the one I would get.
