They sell a potato ricer which basically is a huge garlic press but made specifically for a potato!

Pshh... And we always used the wooden plunger made specifically for mashing ... well potatoes and other stuff that needs to be mashed. But ye, putting out any effort is a torture for me I'll definitely look for one of the mashers -if I can afford it, whole world shitting on me personally and all that-
If you want the unagi don to be really vegan, you have to use a dashi powder that doesn't contain katsuobushi. There's vegan dashi powder that substitutes shiitake instead of the tuna.

I’m wondering if the mushrooms could be air fried instead of deep fried. Not saying I wouldn’t use oil, but my air fryer is great with tofu and small potatoes. Anyone try this? These recipes look great and I appreciate the advice about trying something you think you hate…eggplant for me!

@@caryngoldsmith6782 since the air fryer is more like an oven than a fryer, it has a tendency to dry things out; my experience air frying shittakes was not good lol
I love it when people actually know what they are doing when following a TikTok recipe- have all the ingredients, do it carefully, are confident in the kitchen. It’s so satisfying to watch when they make it properly! These all looked really good, especially the mushrooms, reminded me of salt & pepper squid!

The idea behind the garlic press for mashing the potatoes is that it acts like a potato ricer, which is basically a super sized garlic press that fancy restaurants use to mash potatoes. So if you like the texture of the garlic press potatoes but don't want to spend forever doing tiny pieces through a garlic press, you can buy a potato ricer and do larger amounts of potato at once. Also are you using a vegan dashi powder? Because dashi is normally bonito (a type of tuna) with kombu

i'm not sure if you saw already, but in case you haven't, she said she used a kombu dashi in a reply to another comment

These look really good, I appreciate the vegan content. I wonder if the same consistency would be achieved using a potato ricer for the first recipe, that'd probably be faster since it's bigger. Also the music for the mushroom part actually made me think someone was on a trampoline in the background lol

Quite creative! I love mushrooms. As a child, I liked straw mushrooms too which is like a mushroom inside a mushroom. My mom would by them in a can.

Love your content!❤
They sell potato ricers we always use it when we make „Kartoffelknödel“ or basically potato dumplings. It’s almost the same thing you did but we press the potato than make a dough and than boil it you mostly eat it with roast meat. So delicious. We always eat it on Christmas
Best channel ever love this channel
Can we just talk about how fun and entertaining Jasmine is!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers to all the trendy tasty food!

These recipes look delicious 🤤
Yesterday I had salt and pepper chicken at a posh Chinese restaurant and they added panko breadcrumbs to the garlic / chilli / scallion mix and it made it extra crunchy and delicious, so that's probably the only thing I would add to those tasty-looking mushroom flowers.

I love deep frying mushroom i alway make it for myself or get my dad to make em when ever we have mushrooms at home
Fun to watch!
These all look amazing! It's bananas how much that grilled eggplant looks like unagi. Crazy.
Thank you for the update, Tasty..!! Bubble potatoes for the win..!!
Even though I don't eat vegan food or as I call it "food" because at the end of the day that's what it is just food. I like to be able to learn new recipes and find ways to substitute foods if I am missing an ingredient and this channel has expanded my knowledge of twists to tasty classics. Food should be delicious regardless of diet or preference.

I'm not a funguy people tell me, because I live by the rule: "no fungus among us." ( actually, mushroom texture is what I dislike, so I don't mind a tougher mushroom, like a morel, or something, but the squeeky common mushrooms set my teeth on edge :P )

Hello Joyce how are you doing today how’s everything?
HI JASMINE , I LOOOVE MUSHROOMS SOO MUCH !!
YESSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR JASMINE ALSOO Tasty Where's my beloved KATIE AND LOST IN TRANSLATION??
I recently tried the eggplant dish and it was delicious. Just like you I used to hate the taste and texture until I realised that I could add soy sauce (which makes everything better imo). I have to say, it doesn't compare to eel at all (taste and texture) but it's still a great dish.
mushrooms are life, it’s always a staple in my veggie meals
My mom makes mushroom biriyani. It is SOOO GOOD!
I love eggplants. If you cook it right, it tastes actually sweet.
Yum!

Yes
I actually did try the bubble potatoes their pretty amazing
It definitely depends on the variety of mushroom and how it’s prepared. I have had some really bad tasting mushrooms and some really great ones.
Oh memories of middle school. We had a "who am I" project & I'm pretty sure most people had this in Elementary school where you draw a self portrait & underneath the teacher writes categories for you to fill in. Under food there were lines for fruits, veggies, snacks & main dishes & everyone else's looked the same on the veggie line, it was carrots, cucumber or celery or some kids just wrote gross no vegetables. There isn't a veg I've met that I don't like so mine had broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, brussel sprouts like I filled that line & everyone thought I was so weird because I actually liked healthy food.
Wow this whas just amazing ❤️ I saw this video from bangladesh 🇧🇩
I did the bubble potatoes I loved them so much I made like 50 of them

Would really love to know what brand her pots and pans are. The blue one at the back was so preeeeetty!
Em brazil we have something that looks like a garlic press but is bigger and is specifically for mashing potatos.
All 3 look really good! I love Mushrooms - but in Austria, it's a little different. We eat the coated and fried, with creamy Sauce Tartar or as a 'Schwammerlgulasch' - which can be Mushrooms with creamsauce or spicy Sauce. Very often it is Chanterelles with a creamy Sauce (containing onions, cream and parsley) and that is accompanied by a 'Knödel', thats a really big Dumpling made out of stale bread..

@Christina Brugger How interesting! My mom was from Liverpool, and would make "mushrooms on toast" - basically mushrooms sauteed in a bit of butter, then take them out of the pan and add in a bit of flour, salt, pepper, chopped parsley, and cook that til the flour isn't raw anymore. Add a bit of cream (or milk if you haven't any cream) to make a smooth sauce. Add the mushrooms back in to warm them up and serve atop hot buttered toast. So delicious and comforting, and something I have not made in years. (I will make this soon - it's a childhood favorite. Thank you for the reminder.) All the best, Christina!
