I actually chose Blackbrook over Bullstrap when I got my iPhone 13 Pro (my previous comment mixed up the 2 brands) after extensive research. The Blackbrook case was made with thinner leather, not have enough lip for thick glass screen protectors, and there were large cutouts where the buttons were, compromising structural integrity. It looks like Blackbrook has actual buttons instead of cutouts now and looks closer to Blackbrook case that I have except it doesn't have large cutout at the base which mine has.

So I went and purchased a black brook case on your suggestion. overall it was nice, but it felt more like a leather work glove. The case I got felt ok, but ended up leaving stains on my MagSafe charger. I considered a bullstrap, but wasn't a fan of the camera cut out. I stumbled across Andor and their case and can definitely say it ended up better in terms of fit/finish/feel. I can compare the leather quality as such. Blackbrook feels and smells like a work glove while the Andor case is comparable to a higher end glove from Nordstrom. Thanks for checking out the cases tho, always fun to watch them.

I love Bullstrap cases. I’ve used them on the iPhone 13 Pro, 14 Pro, now 15 Pro Max. I get the Bourbon color case and it’s so sexy looking. I bought the same colored mag safe wallet when I got the 13 Pro. Cases and wallet come with a lifetime warranty. I just this month filed a claim on the wallet. They ask for pictures and all you do is pay for shipping. I’ve dropped several times over the years and have only ever had to replace screen protectors at worst. Initial launch availability last two years wasn’t great. This year, I actually got it before the phone delivered which was a pleasant surprise. Nice feeling tactile metal buttons, and nice roundness of the edges. A bit pricier than others, but I highly recommend.

Leather craftsman here. I started off making leather phone cases when iphone magsafe was introduced (ip12). I wish this video was made these years ago before I started because making leather phone case is much harder than I thought especially with magsafe.

I just bought the classic black leather case from wiiuka which is described as family company from Berlin, Germany. This was recommended from Amazon. Frankly the first impression is just wow… my black titanium iphone15 pro with screen protection glass on front and on camera fits perfectly. The feel, the look, the smell, the minimal branding and finally even the metallic buttons are a perfect match to the quality of the device itself unlike other plastic cases. It’s up to personal preference as always and of course this case will probably not fit someone afraid dropping his phone from 5m but for someone with a « normal » usage it’s just perfect. Let’s see how it turns out in 1 or 2 years but for 50€ this really is a no brainer for someone who wants a modern looking iPhone leather case :)

Ryan London has just as good leather as the Bullstrap. I like the Andar cases as well all for great leather smell, patina, and protection. I don’t mind the lack of bottom coverage either on the Bullstrap and Ryan London cases. RL uses same best leather and lacks bottom protection.

Andar and Apple Leather Case are my go-to leather cases.

A brand that is not well known in the internet but that I find very good is Decoded. The Decoded iPhone 14 series leather case feels very high quality and the fit and finish is excellent. I managed to get one for 35€ and feels like Apple quality levels!. On top of that, the Decoded magsafe wallet is like a Moft v2 wallet. It is made of ECCO leather, has anti-slip rubber in the back, RFID and stronger magnets!

I bought a Wilkes leather case and I love it! I bought the all brown one it’s patina really good!

I’d like to see Bull Strap leather case review

I had a ridge wallet leather case and the nomad . The nomad was my favorite but went along with the phone once I sold it . Rocking the mous leather on the new phone .

I think you’re doing a great job. Have you tested the Vaja leather case - Custom Stick-on Leather back for iPhone 14 Pro Max? Nomad just came out with Lather Back but only for iPhone 15 series.

I had a bad experience with Nomad. It didn’t fit properly and I tried a few more on. None had great fit.

TORRO leather cases are amazing and blow all of the ones you reviewed out of the water, except Blackrock, they're comparable. Really shocked they weren't reviewed.

Andar's offerings look similar to Bullstrap so I didn't bother. Sandmarc didn't even come across my radar.

I normally buy at least one Apple leather case when buying an iPhone more for home and weekends .This year it has been good .Last year I replaced 3 as the power button area snapped when taking on an off on the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 pro max. When working I use a CASETiFY case. The Burton one looks cool but cant find it in Amazon link ,maybe doesn’t ship in Australia? I’ll have another look after work. Great review btw as always!

I love my Mujjo case, BUT I dislike how stiff the buttons are… Enough to the point where I dont use it as much as my apple leather case.

Bellory is the best high quality leather case I tried

Blackbrook and Andar for me. I prefer full grain leather cases that offer nice protection.

Hopefully they take the high demand from their customers who’ve been asking them to make a fully protective case into consideration for the upcoming iPhone 15 lineup. I’m sure 95% of their customers including me would prefer that instead of the exposed bottom any day.

Don’t know if they could handle the attention or orders but there is a hand made leather case on Etsy from Trim Leather, based out of Hong Kong. I’ve purchased one since the iPhone 5s when I discovered them.

I wonder if you tested Vaja cases. Case itself is just normal leather case like Apple or Mujjo one's, but leather quality was very good.

Love your reviews however the Blackbrook case for the base iphone 14 has an open base/bottom. Such a shame

Dbrand leather skin could be a good bonus option for absolutely zero protection with a naked leathery feel

Interesting, I payed 45 Euros in Germany for the MUJJO Case. The superior finish and quality in comparison to the apple leather case made this pick a no brainer EDIT: I think you should've split the cases in categories. The nomad case is primarily a plastic case with leather on the back. In my opinion not a real leather case

Warning: DECODED sells poor quality leather that peels after a month of use. It arrived with factory errors. Despite indicating that they give a 2-year guarantee, when you write to them they do not respond.

Nomad has Magsafe and the leather is tougher than Apples so it doesn’t leave the Magsafe imprints over time.

Nomad was one of the top leather cases when they came on the scene, I refuse to buy them anymore because of the TPU edge.

I can see that as being polarizing… it’s actually one of the reasons I prefer nomad cases. I’m rather hard on my phone, so the TPU edge offers a lot more protection from wear and tear for my particular situation.

Apple leather cases have gotten cheaper over the years for sure. I had a green one for not even a year and it look like a mini version of WW3 happened on it. And I never drop my phone or place it in weird spots that it would get that much damage.

I think you need to try the Spigen Enzo. The quality of the leather is in a different league when compared to Apple and Nomad, and it has diamond cut metallic buttons. It also comes with a lifetime warranty! It’s pricey, but it will be the only leather case I use from now on.

Maybe. But my issue with Spigen is that they inflate the price of the case on their website. I can only find the Enzo directly through them and wasn't going to pay their premium and duty.
