9:00 I've been of the opinion that all of the original cave creatures (Araneo, Onyc, and Titanoboa) desperately need a TLC (Pulmonoscorpius would also appreciate one). When it comes to the Araneo, it should firstly gain the ability to climb on walls and ceilings, along with a remodel + reanimation (I want MORE arachnophobia!). Next, it should gain some webspinning mechanics. One such would be the ability to temporarily "lock off" gates, and keeping with that idea, you should be able to have one make a web in a gateway that lacks a door (essentially making it a large wall). They could also give the Araneo its own version of Aberration's ziplines. Obviously they would keep a mechanic similar to their current web projectile as well. When it comes to the Onyc, I'd like it if they could function as "flying guard dogs" which would cling to your mount if you have them following it, hopping off when the mount is attacked by something. Another gimmick they could give them, is to make them another option for producing gunpowder. Lastly, perhaps they could be a "shoulder pet" (it'd probably be better to call them a backpack pet) that gives you a form of threat detection through echolocation. I don't know if they necessarily need a new model though. The Titanoboa should become the massive constrictors they were meant to be. No more narcotic poison, they should restrain and crush a target. Considering how much it takes to tame them, they should essentially be a living trap for taming all but the largest of creatures (perhaps it'd still slow things like Gigas if they latch on). Considering the size increase, I'd also like them to get a brand new model. It should also simply be tankier in general. Then, assuming the Pulmonoscorpius also got a rework, I'd like it to function a bit more like a Scorpion. To start, they would need a slight size increase. Otherwise they should have a grapple gimmick similar to the Karkinos. However unlike the Karkinos, they would crush their target, instead of slamming/throwing them. Then when it comes to the stinger, I think they should have toggleable access to a more potent venom. The usage of said venom would be tied to a resource that is passively generated over time and when it consumes food.

The possibility of seeing your friends in Ark be crushed, or snapped in half by a scorpion claw, or spiders being more spider-y, being able to web up players, or a bat overhaul, us the most awesome thing that could happen, and since it's with bats, and spiders and scorpions, it would fit in with the Halloween vibes. I'm sure someone will mod it in if it isn't made as a part of the game.

Make the onyc a primitive jetpack since you have the Tech Suit jump thing making the Onyc essential a recon/radar flight pet is a good idea imo, you can even use it's Stamina as the basis for duration and a focus Stat of sorts could be used for the radar part.

@@NightfurySkrill_Joel The issue with making the Onyc a flight shoulder mount, is the fact that we already have the Sinomacrops and (to a lesser degree) the Archaeopteryx. Which is the main reason I didn't mention having the Onyc function as one.

These are all wonderful ideas. I especially like your suggestion for web-spinning mechanics for the spider and the idea of making Onyc a sort of deployable fighter. I could imagine a bronto lumbering along with 6 bats clinging to its sides, and then seeing them all swarm an attacker if the bronto gets harassed.

Seeing how Syntac is using the Sarco still here’s a fun fact. A 20 foot long croc can hide in a 20 foot pool but only needs 10 inches of depth for an adult croc to hide

That is a fun fact, although I feel like that’s probably based on the average croc because I guarantee some of those massive several thousand pound crocs won’t fin in that deep of water

thank god for the in-built mod support to bring the runner ups to the game but yeah Yi is a cool concept but it is NOT built for Ab at all, so many other creatures were cooler and fit the creepy vibes of Ab kind of hoping the tales dino will be worthwhile, like an even bigger and cooler spider or something else totally creepy

Oh, he definitely did, I once thought 🤔 y'know what, I can find the 20 Spinos I want to tame for an Alpha Broodmother fight, and lemme tell you, the Spinos made themselves S C A R C E Even the low level ones 😢 I never find near Max level ones after killing the low levels, it's very disheartening to a Spino fanatic like me.

You can hatch from the depot actually. When an egg is fully incubated, drop it directly from within the inventory. Can also edit each terminal's functions by holding E and then access options

Yup, cyrus has made it so the chances of getting twins or triplets is significantly higher as irl multiple spiders hatch out of one egg

As a person who’s always been fond of Araneo i agree, they need a lot of TLC. Sure they’ve got a face only a mother could love, but I still think they deserve to be a more viable threat and tame than just a slow, pretty weak walking-bola that often looks like a jellybean with their colorations

Hi Syntac! Those lil spider buddies are great on ASA SE. They are all over the desert region and around the Wyvern Pit (not stuck on ceilings). It is a hoot to be out in the deserts of SE with the lil thorax spiders, mantis, arthros, and fasolasuchus all over. TY for the most excellent video! God bless you and the family! ~John

Spider names; Yin & Yang, for the parents. Since they're the opposite of each other. the female is dull while the male is vibrant. I'm not so arachnophobic as I usually am, its just the spider eyes that give me the shivers.

Syntac. I have really bad anxiety and depression. Today it was at its worst and I just want to say thank you for making my day better.

Thought I'd mention that its nicely worded that early in the video you ask us to like it if we enjoy the video (I always enjoy the video, but its the principle of the thing). @Syntac I know you do not want too many mods on the server, but you should put the Puller mod for quality of life. Acts as the old s+ pulling did so you don't have to transfer items to craft from the boxes.
