Like the way you put it. I was thinking about the same before getting BLU G72 Max which is backed by a mediatek SoC. The 13MP camera setup with 5000mAh battery are sufficient for me.

I've had this phone for a few days now. It is absolutely amazing. After 24 hrs of normal use, on performance mode, I still had 52% battery left. The screen is superb with 120mhz refresh rate. It's extremely fast, 256gb internal memory and 8gb ram. I got mine for £229 at Argos, absolute bargain. One of the best phones I've ever had.

Why didn't you talk about the speakers(or did i miss it?)? Honor phones are plagued with awfully bad speakers.

I have an Honor and charge my phone every two days, I think if you use your phone for calls, texts, social media and watching KZread videos, etc you don't need an expensive flagship, I have a £7 pound a month sim free deal with my honor and I'm fine

I have the phone and if u don't use it more than 4 hours a day it can last for 2and a half days

Just got the green and here in South Africa it's marked as honor x9a 5g

Love the air tag on the cat.

Hardly watched anything and battery is going down, used Google maps for 30 minutes and battery dropped 7 percent

I used HONOR holly for five years and now using HUWAWEI from 2019 and again looking forward to move to HONOR MAGIC 5...IT ticks all boxes of requirements

When u paying for flagship you paying for the premium feel , and high resolution screen and maybe speakers ..day to day usage most people cant tell the difference between budget phone and flagship chipset performance ..the only time an average person will start to see a difference between a budget phone and flagship is at night photography...

You can perfectly use the magic 5 lite Unfortunally 3d face isnt there which i would only miss

Bought one from argos yesterday £249 all seems good so far, bought it to use it at work to save risking breaking my iphone 14 pro and this does everything i do on the iphone anyway lol

Honor are not great with their software updates. Have the honor magic4 lite and still on android 11. While other companies and their devices are on android 12/13

I own this smartphone since 6 weeks and love it

Getting a Magic 5 Lite tomorrow, got it for £199.99 , I've got an Honor 9X from 2020 still going strong not a thing wrong with it !! Just can't update no more on this one ( stuck on Android 10 ) and no 5g that's it really ✅ Honor good quality.

Very happy with it so far easy to transfer everything and much quicker as now on Android 13

Only thing pretty much I dont like about Honor is their software, i feel like software design is pretty outdated, but thats just me. Good vid overall m8👍, keep up the good work!

It is, but bare in mind that it was heavily dependent on Huawei and are trying to find their feet as a independent brand, so software is still a bit more on the old Huawei side, but I think their goal right now is to get back into the minds of people and then doing a redesign

Android 13 has been out for over a year heck Android 14 has been released yet companies like honor have still not released it absolutely shocking especially when honor is releasing newer phones with android 13 no wonder customers turn to apple

Was going to but this phone second hand for £100 and instead opted for samsung a71...wish I had stuck with the honor now

Honor x8 is also a good phone good for gaming butt I'll be getting the x9 5g this summer

Perhaps the major thing about honor phones is the display. I love the curves so freaking much. But the problem with Magic 5 lite is that sd695 wouldn't be able to handle 120Hz refresh rate. So I still recommend honor 70 at the similar price with sd778.

It actually has 120% as it's a rebrand of the Honor x9a.

I have a feeling that the battery drainage will increase by 50% after the OS updated

I have the Xiaomi 11T pro and the battery is gone bonkers after 12 months in use.. it drains from 82% to 0% in 5 mins yes 5 mins,but here is wired part when charging it, I use a 67w Redmi charger from my Missus and the bloody thing chargers to 100 in 7 mins..Strange as my 120w charger from the phone takes 15 and then the bloody thing sticks at 100 up to 20 hours, but soon as it goes down to below 90% she quickly goes in 10 mins..not sure what is happening and it feels very hot... STRANGE

Those super charger are definitely going to make your battery life shorten by half, I would rather use a normal Samsung charger than some 67 watt charger , what for? I don't get it , the faster it charges, the more cycles it depletes.

I got bored with my iPhone 14 pro and Apple watch 8. I got this phone and the honor band 7 for a total cost of £232 for both and am blown away by the overall proformance, display and battery life. The camera is the only let doen but for the price I cannot moan. No more apple for me. I will now upgrade every year and not worrry about the cost.

Yeah this is basically my Sony Xperia 10 IV with the same Snapdragon 695 + 5000mAh combo. Easily a 2-day battery if not three or even up to four days if you push it with super skimpy usage and turning it off at night.

No they are not. Easily learned that by getting a p40 lite very early in 2021. Best decision for a phone I ever made.

How to order this phone? I read trustpilot reviews and 99% of the people have given 1star to their online purchase experence, either not delivered or delivered somehwere else, and then once you are in a mess, support center are equally bad and unhelpful. To be honest i would prefer buying this from a shop rather online, can you tell us how to get one from a shop

Battery life and display seem great but many things make the phone seem overpriced like bad software support, no stereo speakers, WiFi 5 only, bad auxiliary cameras and so on. When you compare this to the Honor 70, which dropped in price recently, the Magic 5 Lite seems like a bad deal to me.

S21 Ultra battery life is terrible Cameras are good

I have the Honor Magic5 lite and Redmi Note 13 pro. When it comes to the Display Brightness 🔅 Honor Magic5 lite is way better when set half way ...But at full brightness for display Note 13 pro slightly wins, but poorer when both devices are set the same level lower then full brightness 🔅 Honor Magic5 and 6 wins Vs Redmi Note 12 and 13 Pro

Huawei not only make excellent premium phone & budget phone, they also make excellent microchip to save the phone battery, and their Hamony OS is just the rare level of software design! I'm going to use their phone instead of Samsung phone from now on! To get the best for what I paid for! The Ultimate Honor and Huawei brands for the phone users!😎

Is it a paid review? how can you compare apples with oranges, Other flagships in 2023 have SD 8 Gen 2, but this doesn't even come remotely close, just borrowing some features from flagships doesn't make it a flagship replacement.

I don't understand people that buy flagship phones. You pay $1000+ and they don't even give you a charger in the box. Literally every midrange android except a few Samsung phones have a charger in the box.

QHD screen? At this price point? Come on, dude. Who would honestly expect that? Samsung sell the S23+ for £1000+ and that's still only FHD.

@@fazalanwarr honestly the camera is mid ranged,If you care about it you shouldn't buy this phone,instead you can buy xaumi redmi 12 pro or the 12 pro+ they are almost the same price as my phone but with much better camera, especially the pro+ it got the best camera deal in the market

It's a nice enough phone but as Honor has now joined the Apple/Samsung cartel by not including a charger in the box, I'll look elsewhere.

Ok I had so much to say about all of this video.... The autism in me is screaming out at me about what's being said and what's shown.... Please don't hate me..... So.... Phone fully charged at 08:07, cut to the phone 45seconds in and it's 10:21 on 22nd Feb which is an irritant to start with, but as you go through the video we get some footage of the phone on the 20th and 21st Feb, but as it turns out most of the test was (well I'm assuming on the 21st Feb) but we don't get to see all the phone battery and date status on each battery update.... There are days that are shown that have a lot less battery at around noon, like almost 66% by 13:31.... It's not that I don't trust ASBYT, it's just an irritant due to knowing he's a good and well known KZreadr, and to be honest yes a lot of people won't be looking this deep into it, but curiosity of an autistic is always wanting to investigate themselves with what they have in this case this video. Don't get me wrong HONOR as a sister brand (or was) of Huawei, I'd not be surprised if they had the great battery life that Huawei phones did. Maybe it's just that oddly extra 100MAH to the already large 5000MAH battery that really makes that much of a difference? Or combination of both the large batter and the very efficient operation of the OS on the battery too? Funny I still had a lot to say even after I was going to make this shorter 🤣

Yea I would rather spend 200-300 on a mid ranger and use SIM only than spend 800+ on a flagship outright or pay a monthly premium for 2 years. A midrange smartphone caters to 90% of the average users needs, with only the cameras and CPU/GPU normally being the main differences
