I Swam Around the Azuremyst Isles and Found... | World of Warcraft
Hello, everyone! Welcome back to another episode of Azeroth's Deep Dives, where I explore the coasts and oceans of the continents in World of Warcraft! Today, we take a look at the Azuremyst Isles and Teldrassil... the three major islands of Kalimdor!

Very true! I don't have any plans to go zone-by-zone, but I have plenty more video ideas related to hidden areas and zone secrets :)
Bloodmyst Isle and that climb to the Vector Coil with all the elites around and the final fight with Sironas (my first time ever witnessing an eredar!) is one of my personal favorite WoW moments. There's so much stuff going on in that isle. I couldn't help but go YYYEAAAHH when I saw the Vector Coil shown from the water lol.

Hi Jedi! I appreciate you marking your location on the map in the bottom-left corner. It really helps! One mildly interesting thing I remember about Teldrassil is that the "world boundary" invisible edge hugs the north coast quite closely. You have to swim north through the fatigue zone for only a few seconds before running into it.

Hello! Thank you for sharing :) Yes, I'm pretty sure I could see the world border out near the northwest which is pretty crazy!
Did anyone else notice at 5:56 that Aqueous said "greetings, young shaman" to a druid? I wonder whether the original game did that or whether it's a Classic bug.

One truly sees that they put a lot of effort into their first expansion. Those isles have something magic. Idk if you also plan to swim around Northrend, maybe there is also some nice unexpected stuff. I tried a bit to swim around Ghostlands but i encountered the problem of invisible walls. So far I could not find a way to pass by it. I'm playing on the warmane servers.

Yes, that thing behind exodar was for when Alliance got shamans in TBC with Draenei, its the level 30 quest to get wind totem. Taken out in Cataclysm or late Wrath(the quest not the npcs)
@johnwolfe7596
Жыл бұрын
For newer players who may not be aware, shamans could only be played as Horde (tauren, orcs, and trolls) in true vanilla WoW while only Alliance (humans and dwarves) could be paladins. When I was much younger this separation made sense to me but it kind of doesn't make sense because *anyone* can devote themselves to an ideal or "the Light" and *anyone* can come into contact with the raw, primal power of nature.
@maruraba1478
Жыл бұрын
@@johnwolfe7596 I agree. I think blizz wanted that separation to reflect the cultures of factions more then anything, like noble human palidans of the church compared to primal orcs guiding their clan as the clan shaman. A tribal vs civilized separation. But as you said that has mostly faded in current lore. Anyone can be a primalist empowered by the elements and anyone (even undead) can wield the light as a paladin.

Good to know! :) Thank you for sharing.
I remember I swam around Teldrassil once by accident when WoW had first came out. It was my first character, I think there were 2 or 3 of us, and we found a spot where we could climb out onto one of the branches, _so of course we did that._ We had the genius idea of trying to hop down them to the bottom, only to fall and immediately die of falling damage on the branch. Which was a problem ,because rather than take the rez sickness, I tried to get back to my body, *and missed.* Now the teleport back to graveyards didn't exist yet, so my ghost had to go *all the way around the island* to the teleporter, walk back, and jump down again. In retrospect I could've killed the ghost by fatigue to respawn, but I was so terrified of that water. It went down forever, and would my ghost dying delete my character? I had no idea!

Thank you for letting me know! That is good info :)
At 2:27 you describe a place that is a meeting spot for the Goblin Geezle and the Naga. That one's incorrect. You should create a Draenei and do the questlines on the Azuremyst Isle to see, whom Geezle meets there. And for the reef with the friendly Water Elementals around 5:44 you should creata a Draenei Shaman in WoW WotLK Classic and reach level 20. Then you'll see what the reef and those NPCs are used for. Also the area on the hill you described around 7:00 ... further level said Shaman to 30. Apart from these three minor details, great video. You've put some effort in it. Keep it up.
