I love seeing some fresh, original PaulGG content! Although, it's kinda surprising how Paul still hasn't learned so many basic things about skyblock, considering how much he's done it. Like using bonemeal under a pillar of water to create additional water sources, or using bottom half slabs instead of top half slabs to prevent spawning.

Using bottom slabs makes everything you place, like chests, float. Then to solve that you have to put slabs under it and it looks weird having this tiny pedestal thing for a chest monster lol it just makes it a hastle. If you dont want spawning just use torches. You dont need very many anymore like its hardly a big deal. thank God, torch spam was awful pre 1.18 however i DEFINITELY understand what ur saying. Another creator i watch for 7 days to die is the same way. Such a pro but such a noob sometimes lmao its frustrating

@@meeserbaker that’s fair about bottom half slabs. I have seen some creators who adapt well and make it all look really good, but everyone has their style I guess! And that was an accurate description of Paul in Minecraft, so pro but also so noob at some things. I think that’s maybe a side effect of when you get somebody who is a genuinely good gamer at whatever they do, then put them in a game without them having been really in the community before. It seems like the “100 Days” kinds of Minecraft Creators like Paul all only really pay attention to each other, and so many of them are newer to Minecraft and don’t have the nuances of the game. So you get an incubator where halfway decent tricks are recycled so often that nobody realizes there are better ways, because they don’t pay attention to the creators who know Minecraft way better but aren’t in the “100 Day” crew. So many of the same farms that are just okay but don’t take full advantage of the mechanics of the game, so many of the same inefficiencies where they could accomplish their task far more quickly or far more effectively if they just knew about that one thing. Paul was a gamer first, a content creator second, and a minecrafter third. It’s both a negative at times for the reasons we’ve talked about, but it’s also a positive because he and others like him being new perspective and new fresh ideas to the community. Which is great! I just wish they would interface with creators outside of their bubble more so they can all learn from each other.

You should try out stonecutters, they make you lose way less materials when turning stone into bricks, polished, chiseled ect. It makes it 1 block for 1 block/stairs/fences and 1 block for 2 slabs. And this works for any of the stone blocks. :) Hope this reaches you Paul

idk if i’m just being dumb, but it comes out to be the same total anyways, 1 block for 2 slabs? 3 blocks for 6 slabs which is just double so it’s literally the same blocks either way. the stonecutter just makes it easier to see what blocks you can make and it doesn’t save you any materials

but you do save blocks on stairs as 6 blocks makes 4 stairs but with stonecutter 6 blocks makes 6. but with slabs it comes out to be the same anyways

@@AvocadoAfterHours it's cheaper with blocks and stairs, bot slabs though, as if you put a full stack of cobbled deepslate in you'd get a full stack of any of the blocks back instead of less.

You know, I find it odd... Does no one think of traveling up a few blocks, then opening a hole in the mob spawner? Cause you can do that, then create a roof over the bottom of the chamber to cut off new mobs.

This is probably the best 100 days I’ve seen from you so far! The world looks amazing and it’s the first one I’ve seen from you where you got the dragon head and didn’t either forget about it or drop it in the void😅 love this!

Bit of Skyblock info, If you put your base level (where you are standing) at Y-59-61 you wont get phantoms so you wont need to sleep.

what's the fun if you can literally fish anything? here's a real challenge: do it with an actual normal fishing rod, and with the actual loot list from fishing. You can fish bamboo if you are in a jungle biome, make wood, and place it besides a lilypad, which you can also fish

Wow The idea is pretty fresh I think. Never saw an ocean themed one block sky block it before. Adding some fresh blood to the game

Hmm this seems quite interesting, I honestly hope this turns into a series of sorts.

Make it so the middle is 4 blocks and you don't have to have the bed sticking into the wall and you don't get random villagers glitching out of their cage. Also beacons can be hollow, you only need the outer shell

wouldn't it be possible to add a redstone light to the top of the mob spawner, connected to a button at the base, flick the switch and it lights up the inside? also when enchanting, and it's been a long while since I've played, there was a trick where if you got enchantments for a tool you didn't like, you could enchant something like a wood shovel to reset the possible enchantments? And then just grindstone the shovel to use again.

Love your videos but you don’t need to place all of your course dirt, till it, and then place it somewhere else. You just need to place it in the right spot and then till it. This will save a ton of time for other projects.
