Hey @Skyes since you are using gutter how about u lay them across the ceiling ok like support wooden beams like that of in old wooden structures. Then you can use some nice trap door with some many wood options and make a small attic where you can store food or stuff related to the villagers. Hope you like it. I don't know how will people react to it. The idea is basically creating an old days barn with an small ceiling and a ladder to access it

jus a heads up as a raft player, 100 days is a super long time and would completely cover the whole story mode if thats something you’re interested in. i would personally love to see you play raft as its one of my favourite games and your one of my favourite youtubers

day 85: i was pretty skeptical about the build at first, with all the signs, barrels, and composters, but after you backed up and showed the entire build, it looked so cool and intricate! Love it!

Depending on the version this is on, slabs let light into the mob farm. You need to make it out of all solid blocks for the room to be dark enough to spawn mobs more efficiently.. My one block world is 1.18 and I made the roof of my mob spawner out of slabs to save materials and it didn't work so I had to change the whole roof out. Works perfectly fine now

Yup. Just made a creeper farm on my main world and made that mistake. Gotta replace a 40×40 grid with deepslate bricks 😢

@Mayuri Kurotsuchi I'm at the point in my world where I have several mob farms and a God tier Netherite pick, so it's just a matter of afking at the grinder I choose to repair it. Even still, it took about 4 real-life hours of nonstop grinding to complete. Worth it for unlimited gunpowder though. Only other alternative is to make a ghast farm which is WAY MORE dangerous snd a lot harder of a build. 😭

Might also make the bottom blocks of the tube into glass so you can more easily see what had dropped to the kill platform.

I was under the impression mobs couldn't spawn on slabs, is this wrong? 🤔

I'm late, but the classic tower mob grinder uses mob pathing, so the floor should be full blocks instead of top slabs. Top slabs are valid spawnable blocks but invalid blocks to path to, therefore only the trapdoors are valid blocks to move to. Mobs would walk over trapdoors far more often if the other three corner platforms were entirely valid blocks to path find to (fullblocks). I think mob pathing is the main issue in this build of the mob grinding.

Hey Skye's btw Areas covered in bottom slabs are unable to spawn mobs, no matter the light level, although double slabs, top slabs and upside-down stairs are still spawnable. Also, dirt path and farmland are partial blocks (15/16th of a block in height) and cannot be spawned upon.

Hey ^^ Absolutely loved this 100 video so far (currently I am at day 75). For the Macaw's Bridges mod, there is a tool called "Pliers". When you build bridges more than 2 blocks wide, it is a closed area, right? With the pliers, you can actually open up that area by cutting the front and back side open. But you have to build them in a straight line forward. Otherwise the pliers bug a little bit.

I know this video is a few months old, but I think hearing your commentary while building is nice! A mix of time lapses and then seeing you do it in real time w commentary would be awesome

would love to see a 200 days of this. the build really turned out so beautiful. it would be a shame to end it here when you didn't even get to fully enjoy it.

I like when creators play games they enjoy. If you think you'd enjoy playing any game, including Raft, I'm sure you will be able to make a fun video for it. You don't have to try and only make videos all of your viewers will like. Never be afraid to try things and branch out

What’s the shader

Hey Skyes just to let you know in case you do continue a 200 days or if you do another 100 days with the Macaw's bridges mod. There is an item called the "pliers" that will allow you to make wider bridges as it lets you remove the guardrails you don't want. Had a modpack with friends that I used those bridges on and ran into the same trouble until I looked it up since there's no real explanation anywhere on that.

Hi Sykes, I really enjoy when you explain the thought process of when you design things. It kind of shows that you know it’s not an easy process and Evan builders as good as you do you have challenges sometimes

You need to be 25 blocks from the closest point of the mob spawner and 50 from the furthest point for optimal spawn rates. Bonus points if you go up 100 blocks above the ocean and then back down to 25 above the spawner, will despawn everything and leave only the spawner in spawn range.

1. excellent video as always I thoroughly enjoyed it. 2. PLEASE PLAY RAFT THAT WOULD BE SO FUN TO WATCH (and not to mention there's some really interesting building elements in that game I'd love to see you explore) 3. I personally love hearing your thought process during building, watching you figure it out as you go makes it a lot more satisfying seeing it all done in the end and it feels more personal, like I was involved in the process even though I was just sitting here like a couch potato.
