Ok this guy was smarter than most 100 days youtubers. He actually went on a high building where adapted parasites couldn't reach him, which was a huge plus. He even made a ring of fire, and parasites have an instinct to NOT go through fire at all means. So in his base, he was completely safe from LAND parasites. Let's not talk about a dreadnaut though..

Unfortunately this tactic doesn't even work anymore, I tried with a high-rise Castle with a tall tower where I can rest safely but they'll either climb ipllup or use endermen :(

It was interesting how when the parasites started, the zombies nearly disappeared. Probably because parasites infect zombies (very annoying) I decided to play with just the parasite mod, found a zombie spawner, about a day later I go down there and it’s overrun by parasites. Last time I used the full pack

@@SevenYT I don't know if you'll see this or already know but on the hell roof I think the slabs were glitched and there was slime/guts the green thing that was on the dirt and I think that was why they spawned on the roof ( I think that was the reason there was some sort of grass under the nether rack)

So Scape and Run Parasites has got a point system, the parasites gain points by doing certain actions (killing mobs, infecting blocks, etc) depending on how many points they have they can evolve into the next stage which will bring bigger scarier parasites(which is why you saw "one" "two" and such in the chat, it was the mod telling you they had evolved. Your Phoenix turned into a medium incomplete form because he was infected by YOU, actually. You see, the parasites in the early stages gain points by infected mobs with a Debuff called "Call of the Hive" (COTH for short) COTH does nothing to the player, however it is extremely transmissible and can be given to every mob vanilla or modded. Upon one of your first interactions with the parasites you were infected with COTH, which typically lasts about 8 minutes, however continuous interaction with the parasites will just keep restarting the countdown timer for the debuff. You unintentionally spread COTH to your Phoenix, and at the current stage the parasites were at, when they get to low health they will turn into parasites. In fact, the second a mob is infected with COTH, it becomes a parasite, but in early stages they try to keep up their disguises until they get on low health in which they will drop their disguise and try to attack you (which is why you saw multiple zombies turn) tl;dr you infected your Phoenix unintentionally

So for phase info, the numbers are when they gather points for assimilating, killing, or infecting the earth (beckons). Buglins spawn in stage 0, which grow into rupters(crawly f**ks) which when there are two or more attack you, and I forget how many before they attack zombies, maybe just one, and they add points, then phase 1 where rupters spawn naturally, phase 2 where assimilated mobs spawn, phase 3 beckons are unlocked, but can't evolve, phase 4 beckons can grow to stage 2 and primitive parasites spawn, phase 5 beckons grow to stage 3 and adapted and pure parasites spawn, and finally, phase 6, beckons grow to stage 4, the parasite biome is unlocked, and ancient parasites spawn The lures just need to be right clicked and depending on the type will reduce the parasites' points

With all the problems he was having. The funny thing is he would not even have a tenth of the problems he had when he does play it again.

About the death of birdo,parasites carry something called the COTH and if a crreature has that and is low on health it will transform into a parasite.There is also the chance that you had COTH and you passed it onto lil Birdo

In the phase update the spreading was removed, I found that out after looking into the fact that milk didn't do anything to it

The "Don" means that a parasite flower spawner has spawned into your world. Or at least I think it does.

This is now canon in this world

So a lot of the stuff here is from a game called Team Fortress 2 the 1st sentry gun can be upgraded with a wrench to level 3 where it becomes a DPS tank. I highly recommend upgrading your sentry when you are going to be holding down a spot for a while (the dispenser can give you metal needed for the upgrade) The Eyelander is a sword for demoman which lowers your max health thats why it inflicts damage when you equip it.

@@SevenYT I think this mod had a morale issue so everyone went to sleep because of depression/lost of hope.

just so you know, the halberd gives u mining fatigue when holding anything in your offhand, as all two handed weapons do. take the torch/shield out when using it. also, even then, it has a greater charge time than a standard sword, so wait longer in between swings. also, water gets rid of vines

The phoenix was getting shot as the parasite effect on it made it recognized as a hostile. And, the reason why it didnt instantly become a parasite was because it functioned like cows or sheep when parasitised, they appear and act normal until killed or close enough to merge with another, dont know exact way it revealed itself but it hit a condition. Also, any mob not recognized (not vanilla) that is a parasite will turn into flesh so yeah. And I think the dong is the sound of creating a new parasite nest or a high level flower has been created, they evolve the longer they live.

It's something about these horror Minecraft worlds that always leave me unsettled. The gameplay is fascinating--be it from Seven or someone else--but the atmosphere and small mod detailing (the guts, leftovers of parasites) leaves me wanting to hide under several layers of blankets. This is some stuff straight out of my MC nightmares. Awesome job completing the challenge, Seven!

the "One" message means the parasites have reached stage 1. at stage 8 they will begin to form the parasite biome and crops stop growing. it only goes downhill from there also the lure lowers the parasite stage but i don't remember what you have to do to it to make that happen also the phoenix became an incomplete form because it had the coth status effect

53:42 the reason why you were taking damage is because of the sword's effect It's from the TF2 Mod, the Eyelander reduces your max HP, but for every kill you get with it, you get buffs like more HP and faster runspeed (in TF2 atleast, idk the effects in the mod)

i havent watched fully so idk if you already know/realized but the parasites weren't spawning on your roof, assimilated endermen can teleport other parasites alongside it so when it locked onto you it just gathered every parasite in the vicinity. the skeleton worm things are called "hosts" and they weren't spawning on your roof but rather burrowing underground. the particles are them moving through the blocks like a worm the beckons (flower things) and other parasites can adapt to damage. so if you constantly use a rifle, it will eventually learn to defend itself and reduce the damage it takes from rifles until it becomes immune. thats why on that one building it took you a long time before you killed it. the beckons create parasite "biomes" (only level 4 beckons can actually change the biome but yknow they spread it and its basically like a mini biome) and those ground deals damage to you.

Finally i was able to find legit 100 days video with fun commentary keep up the good work! Btw that "dong noise" is the flower thing going to next stage which gets veery hard around stage 3 because it spawns more harder parasites. Btw the reason why so many parasitess were on top of your roof was because of mutated enderman. Mutated endermans are so fking hard because shit just teleports everywhere and teleports other parasites near you, thats how there was suddenly parasites on your roof

Very good video , good communication, great editing! However can I say I would have enjoyed to see you utilize a lot more like caving to find resources and maby finding lava to mix with water to make obsidian for enchant table taking the books. Saving the animals and villagers for trades. It wouldn’t have been impossible. But nearly impossible, however overcoming those nearly impossible situations and seeing how helpful and amazing the hard work would have been is the kind of amazing content that makes for a even more exciting video! Regardless you got a new sub and I’m excited to watch more vids from you!

you should do another 100 days of this and here's a list of achievements that I think you should try to accomplish, 1: make a base that is absolutely safe, 2: add defense and try to get protection, 3: make robots to defend the base, 3: do automation of materials, 4: defeat a high tier parasite tower.

Loving this playthrough really much.❤️❤️😉😉 Gotta give you some advice of the scape and run parasites. The number thing is actually the evolution phase is of the parasites Primitive , adapted,pure, deterrent and ancient parasites can now adapt to damage types (this is disabled in this modpack). That means if you use a same type of damage on a specific parasite you will eventually will not deal any damage to them also gun's will not work cause it foes continuous damage. change to a different damaged type to continue dealing damage Also all parasites (except rupter, assimilated mobs, beckon stage 1 to 3 ) Will regen their health rapidly after not being in combat Most importantly !!!! Primitive, adapted reekers , assimilated cow can charge attack you and it deals a lot, i mean alooooooot !! You can realize it by looking at the faces of the reekers and the assimilated cow are shaking ot not if they are shaking you gotta react reall quick cause it is preparing for the chage attack.. Damn thats a lot of stuff but it is needed for your next adventure 🤠🤠

It took me 5 months to complete this modpack. There were dozens of lost attempts (some were 70-80 days long). And i didn't even know that you can make that phoenix bird! The winning strategy was building base high up and protecting it with mercenaries (mostly with heavies and snipers). And since building that base took 50 days, I had to somehow live on the ground. I created a wall using oil because it's hard to come through it. Just 8 snipers were enough to hold zombie hordes for 50 days. Mercenaries run out of ammo pretty quickly, so you have to deal with it. Their ammo can be replenished if they come close to dispenser. But they often can't reach for dispenser and here's the solution: build a railway along your mercenaries positions, put Heavy in minecart and place dispenser (shift + right click to carry dispenser) right on Heavy (you can't place dispensers on other mercenaries). Tf2 crafting table allows you to acquire disguise kit which makes other mobs basically ignore you. Armor is useless so only diamond helmet would be enough. And the most important note: pick only RED team. You will figure out why is it essential, I assure you. If you, the reader, need help with this modpack, then just reply. I will tell how to counter anything.

"Zombie nightmares" i have zombie dreams so much that it isnt even scary anymore. Hell alot of my dreams zombies will be a background element, like im abstractly aware theyre there and am cautious of them but theyre hardly relevant. Other times i have dark, grim dreams about them and theyre definitely the main focus but never what id call a nightmare. It helps that i can leave dreams at will but i like to have a bit of fun with em, only ever do it if theres no way out of a grim and slow death since i tend to be able to feel pain in dreams

@@SevenYT In most parasite mod packs I’ve seen, bird mobs typically attack even before they mutate to parasite form. And in some other friendly mobs like pigs, cows, sheep, horses, etc will also. But before they mutate they only do the tiniest bit of damage. Basically a way to tell animals you are farming have become infected before turning into parasites with loads more HP & hit like trucks. Which with the phenix being a modded creature…either the pack creator would have to set its behavior if infected or the parasite mod would treat it by whatever mob was used for its base code. 🤷🏻‍♀️ - FYI not sure if it was the same in this version but in the new parasite mod update the Lures you made? You click them, they disappear & they help slow the evaluation of the parasites. Which the numbers you asked about ARE the levels of severity of the parasites. It’s based on the number of mobs they kill/convert & when those flower parasites are allowed to evolve creating those “gardens” you discovered which produce continually more powerful, further evolved parasites in larger & larger numbers.

The lures can be used to weaken the parasites by right clicking on them. Lowers their points and possibly their evolution phase.

This was fun to watch I can't believe at the 100 days the Dreadnought appeared that thing scared me to death seeing it I'm not even sure you can survive that is the only thing I think could help a better base location and defenses like the turrets or something stronger. This would be so much more fun if someone was to host a civilization video with this Modpack but I guess it would probably be impossible do to how much lag and people PC destroying themselves trying to run it.

I found out you can smelt various things you can find on the sniper towers for iron and other bars, like the grenades, make sure to loot stuff and check if they can be smelted into smth useful

Yeah im pretty sure that the final wave was nearly impossible since the parasites can adapt to damage since the bosses have loads of health its very difficult cuz they also regen health after some time

58:30 One then two and so on Its from the Parasites mod It means joust that they can evolve into better and stronger stuff plus the adapted versions can spawn Also after the number hits 6 it spawns a parasite core (idk if thats the actual name) and if you have a T4 beckon (max teir beckon) alive at anytime after the core spawns how u know a T4 beackon spawns is because you can't sleep anymore. It will create a parasite biome. And the bell noise is a beckon spawning (The flower parasites) 1:46:20 the reason the Beckon is taking so much time to kill is because high hp enemies can become almost immune to an attack type so u were doing like half a heart to it. So you can actually craft weapons out of the things the parasites drop Edit: the estimated endermen tp to your location and tp other parasites to you i think its 5max at a time Thats why you got swarmed by parasites Truly if you ask me i was that it would be cool if you made like an episodes type series

I think there was a gap in your neither rack wall where one neither rack was missing. I do not know if you fixed it later while fixing the broken ones that could explain the very high number of zombies getting though.

the numbers in chat is the stage of difficulty for the parasites (increases spawn rates and strength) and fire tends to be very effective against most parasites.

Are there any blocks that zombies cant break? Obsidian? Bedrock?

Just depends on the zombie horde mod this pack uses. In most they can’t break obsidian and many have it set were they can’t break either stone bricks or reinforced stones bricks. A few included in technical based packs stops zombies from breaks the various metal & reinforced building blocks…except for zombies using actual TNT. But some packs allow them to either break all blocks regardless…although obsidian *typically* is only broken by pickaxe carrying zombies…OR they have limits *except* on hardcore mode.

My theory on you crashing was the amount of particles there were, mostly though the particles of the blocks breaking Btw i cant stop rewatching your first sight on the ancient dreadnaut because it just overwhelmed you with confusion and fear as it was coming towards you since it was dark it made it look ominous

I'd like to see a However-many-players try to survive in a modded world like this. I remember awhile ago there was a series where players had to hold out in military bunkers with auto-turrets and the like until a helicopter came to pick up who was left at the end but I can't find that video anymore so most of the time I just find solo players playing mods like this.
