Have my 05 slt lly ccsb 4x4 2nd owner rust free Florida truck, now @ 290k. It's at that mileage I'm dumping a lot of well deserved money into her. Turning into more of a project truck, not a daily. Been looking for a unmolested early 11-13 lml Denali/SLT ccsb 4x4 clean grandpa truck with >150miles. Or a gmt800 1500 QuadraSteer aws/awd Denali gasser for a clean daily.

Sounds really good bro. I have a 16’ LML with basically the same mods done. But have recently had an issue with the truck just pouring black smoke when I hit 2k rpm or if I’m driving down the road and I’m in 4th, 5th, or 6th gear & ease into the throttle it starts dumping. Any suggestions on what it could be?? **Not the turbo**

I bought an 11 3500hd that was owned by a guy named Austin. Dpf was deleted. Trying to check if egr was done as well. So that's what I'm researching. It's quiet and only blows black when I push accelerator in idle. Still has original muffler I think.

You mention unplugging the main harness at the 4:55 sec mark. Is that the blue Harness? I did a 5” straight pipe on my LML and even after the tune have a bunch of EGR related codes. Like P2033,041d,2455,2471,0546,0406,242d,2495. That harness is the only thing I haven’t unplugged. But these codes are kicking my butt!

Hardest part about the downpipe is getting the heatshields off of the stock one. It is a nightmare. You can expect to wrestle with the heatshields for a couple hours. Once those are off the rest is pretty easy. V-band on the turbo can get a little seized but a couple taps with a hammer usually breaks it loose.

Can I message you about tuning? I've been wanting to do my 11 lml. The damn thing regens like every 100-150 miles and is annoying af. I took a long trip about a month or so ago and was averaging 19-20 mpg and then a regen started and knocked it down to 14

I have an 11 lml as well. How do you know when it’s regenning? Also, can I just straight pipe without messing with any other emissions stuff and will it sound better?

@@TheGemini15301 best way to tell if you dont ha e a monitor is that it will idle high and blow some white smoke out the tailpipe. Not the whole time it is regenning but occasionally and it will look like a lot sometimes when you pull out from a stop

Hey man. So I have a 2004.5 and I also have all after market exhust parts and cannot seem to get my downpipe and exhust to mate up flush without making contact with the trans lines. I prefer not to buy anything atm. Did you bend them or what did you do so this fit with good clearance

Thats strange I have a lly also and put a 4inch straight pipe with 3 inch downpipe and no issue with trans line clearance but maybe 5 inch is just big enough to be in the way.

I also have an lly with a 3 inch down pipe and 4 inch exhaust there is so much room with it the only issue I ran into was the dipstick but I don't have any clearance issues with my transmission lines. I'm running a mbrp exhaust and downpipe if that helps you out.

You can bend them out of the way fairly easily without damaging them.

Ohhhh i also forgot i got a longer downpioe bracket bolt and a spacer to move it away from the lines more. A stack of washers would work. I had a 5 inch magnaflow on it for a while and it rubbed bad before i did that

@@RESURRECTEDDIESEL I have about a year and close to 20k on my set. Have had no complaints. Actually like them alot for an AT that sees regular highway use (spent alot of time on BFGs in the past). There's no way in hell they're making it to the 60k warranty though; maybe 10k left on them. We'll see how that process goes... I enjoy your videos/approach/demeanor bro. Keep up the good work. Got just under 30k out of my AT sports. Just put a new set of Toyo AT3’s on it. Hard to compare new to old, always love the ride of new tires. I wouldn’t touch the BFG’s, they don’t last.

we did sometimes with the window down but not bad with them up it shot over the cowl enough to not get sucked in

@@RESURRECTEDDIESEL well I realize where i messed up! The blocker plate on the passenger side, I never put the gasket on it. So it’s leaking exhaust right into truck😂. Thanks for responding !
