I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For | Song Around The World | ICRC + Playing For Change
Музыка
We are proud to share our new Song Around The World, “I Still Haven't Found What I´m Looking For,” by U2, to send a message to the relatives of missing people in the world: you are not alone in the search of your loved ones. This is a joint project by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Playing For Change in honor of the International Day of the Disappeared. This video features over 40 extraordinary musicians from 13 countries who played several instruments and combined their magnificent voices.
In the world, each day, dozens of people disappear for diverse causes related to armed conflicts, violence, natural disasters and on the migration route, among others. Some of their families have had no news of their missing loved ones for more than 20 years. Together, and through music, we would like to express our solidarity to those who are facing the profound and universal feeling of losing a loved one. The families of missing people will not stop searching, nor will we stop helping
them.
We would like to thank all of the amazing musicians for their contribution and sharing their enormous talent with this project.

I, too, am in tears. This is the power of music.
It is my belief that those of us who feel so very deeply in our hearts and cry when we see and hear these videos that these beautiful people from all around our world play and sing, is because we know that all it takes is to realize that we are all one and that if we simply love, accept, listen to, understand, show compassion, kindness, not judge, help and support one another, we can overcome the evil that is trying so hard to destroy us all and our planet. Now, more than ever, we must allow love and compassion to shine unconditionally! Our future generations and our planet depend on us all. Thank you, PFC for being a positive example and bringing so many of us together! Blessings, love, peace and a tight, spiritual hug from me to everyone all over this 🌍🌎, especially to our young and elderly brothers and sisters who are currently suffering, broken hearted and in pain in so many ways. Oh my God I just teared up I can't stop crying It's such a beautiful rendition, beautiful. We here in Canada are suffering as well the loss of our missing and murdered indigenous women and men. Is a great loss. It's so good to know that there's somebody out there that recognizes and understands the heart ache and the pain and suffering of my people. For the love of God let's please live in peace and let's take care of each other. The world is big enough for all of us and that's the way God created may hearts be healed.

"I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about, Truth is, I don't want to know. Some things are better left unsaid. I'd like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can't be expressed in words, and it makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you, those voices soared higher and farther than anybody in a grey place dares to dream. It was as if some beautiful bird had flapped into our little cage and made those walls dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last man in Shawshank felt free". I live here on the island of Kauai. When I heard Olivia Ruffs voice tears poured forth from my eyes. I realized how soothing the gentle air, the amazing beauty, power of the mountains, amazing talent of our islands people. I feel so blessed just to live here on this island, this earth, this galaxy, this cosmos, this universe. I even have hope for our humanity to return to peace and end our senseless attacks on one another. It starts by realizing how I treat my brothers and sisters is how I treat myself united in our oneness. Mahalo Playing for Change for collaborating a masterpiece of everyday people around the planet!

I've been following (and donating to) PFC for years also. I'm 69 and not ashamed to say that nearly every one of their videos makes me weep, the ones with children smiling and singing and dancing tears at my heart no matter how many times I watch. Two of my favorites are "Love Train" with Jason Mraz and "Love Is All" with children playing and singing. "Love Is All" shows an African children's choir and there are two boys wearing yellow shirts that make me hope their smiles never fade. I just replied to a guy on another thread that the music will outlive us all which is a blessing to the future. Peace

In the beginning, they weren't recording individual performances and mixing them later. For Stand By Me, the first artist played alone. Then another artist in another part of the world would listen to the first solo player, and join in with his/her part after a bit, making it a duet. Then as the song progressed, the third, fourth, fifth, etc. would listen and add their part, until in the end, it was literally a choir of hundreds of instruments and vocalists performing together. I don't know if they still do it that way, but that's how they used to do it.

I am a loss for words. My tears say it all. Being from Canada, I think of all the missing and murdered indigenous women and girls and the people who are heartbroken and still looking for them, all the non-indigenous women who disappeared or found buried on a farm in British Columbia and the residential school children who went missing and learning that many were buried in unmarked graves. Thank you PFC for reminding us of the pain and yet the hope that questions will be answered.

Music is universal if you are willing to be open to it! It brings humanity in unison! This video is soo beautiful and yet it brings tears to my heart for their despair!

Gracias

My favorite charity. How can a person support so many good things by contributing to just one organization? Dilemma solved. This is the first time I have heard Olivia Ruff’s extraordinarily beautiful voice. John Cruz sings with so much feeling, and the choir singing in Arabic is so relevant to this time. Thank you for this wonderful rendition of Bono’s song.

This is so beautiful! It just makes my heart bleed, thinking of all these missing people and children. I just wish that I could say a prayer and have it be heard..and have every missing person found, and heal the pain in the hearts of their loved ones! 💖

Like you, my heart aches for those ones going through such sadness. When there is no closure, your heart cannot rest. All they have is a prayer and hope. Thank you to Playing for Change for all the inspiration and love through the music.

I've lost a friend whom I've grown up with for almost 40 years... still searching for him for 2 years...me and his family. This gave me hope that he's not lost forever
What a beautiful concept of coming together across this earth through music, without barriers and borders. The Playing for Change movement and these productions is so very inspiring. Come on all human beings, whoever you are, let's unite in love and harmony. Thank you for the joy these music videos give to many.
This is such an important message, and it is expressed so beautifully and soulfully through these amazing musicians.
They aren't gone unless we stop looking, and we'll never stop looking. Best Wishes, DOC
This is absolutely amazing. It is the sort of thing that gives you hope for humanity.
I love John Cruz's voice!

Abolutely Beautiful.Music is the international language of love and hope and unity. Playing for a Change is such a vidal component to connect us all. Perfect song by U2. These musicians are incredibly gifted. They're harmonious voices and they're melodic instruments all intertwined in solidarity and love. We are all people, regardless of geographical location. I didn't know that there was an International day of the disappeared. I hope this message to the world brings all these families peace and hope. May their loved ones be reunited. Or answers. I will share this video to do my part to raise awareness. One Love to the world. 🎼♥️🌏🕊️
