Hi, I just discovered your channel, you really put your sobriety to the test by moving to the Philippines, I couldn’t do it. I was stationed there in late eighties and I once asked a group of service buddies if they would go outside the base’s gate if there was no alcohol availability, most said no. Thanks for being a good American ambassador from the U.S. , your very friendly and kind to the locals, keep up the great work.

Awesome yeah, me and my friend were there in Nov had a blast we often share your videos to each other reminding us how much fun we had in the PI. You should also check our Clark sun Valley golf resort they have awesome views and nice lunch spot in Clark

You can easily keep a US cell number and have a local number on the same phone. T-mobile is the best for international, set it up as an e-sim, then use the SIM card slot for a local number. You can toggle back and forth on which number you want to use in a few seconds.

In the Philippines they will give you rice instead of potatoes. I need some spice on rice jolibees gravy not enough spice.

Great video about taxes, work and 69 bar update. While not an attorney, maybe you are also aware of US tax-code, which makes expats continue to pay Federal taxes. I looked a bit and found this, online for you and/or your viewers who might be unaware. For citizens from countries that employ citizenship-based taxation, a citizen or permanent resident living in any country will be subject to income tax irrespective of where the income was earned. This system is much rarer than residency-based taxation. The US is one of only three countries that use this system-the other countries are Eritrea and North Korea. That means that the only way out of filing annual tax returns in the US-even if you live elsewhere and make money solely outside of the US-is to renounce your citizenship, which is no small decision or small task. Further, even if you don’t owe any income taxes, you will still likely be required to file an annual informational return. Many expats can eliminate their US tax liability through credits and exclusions like the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion, but they are typically still required to file returns. That's correct. When you draw SS and start drawing other retirement incomes subject to taxation, then you will have to pay those Tax's when due. Also there is this thing called RMD. Required Minimum Withdrawal at age 72. So even if you live to 72 and not have to touch 401k type assets, you will have to start taking money out or face stiff penalties, no matter where you live.

When you give an established addressed, can it just be a friend’s or a sister’s house? Is it legal to do it that way even if you do not live there but a day a year, or less?

yes it is my Mothers address, she is able to monitor the limited mail i receive there and yes some use siblings etc 👍 Yes it is legal for i will stay there when i go home i changed all bank info 401k medical insurance etc to there a couple weeks before my departure 👍

Jollibee chicken is much more moist and flavorful that what I experienced in the states. I am a gravy connoisseur and prefer country style myself but I got used to the thin one offered up there. I also began to enjoy the Jollibee spaghetti...even though the one I cook is what I prefer. You must be a hell of a good tipper for those girls to be fawning all over you?

Exact opposite for me. Jollibee chicken in USA is moist and large pieces of meat and very very good, in Philippines it small and crust and bones and worthless.

Been to both and in my opinion Pattaya blows Angeles away in terms of price, internet speeds, hotels/condos, massages for $10 an hour, much more options with woman and ladyboys if youre into that, and food. also has a beach! which is nice. But I will say Filipino people can speak english a lot better and you might be able to connect with them in a deeper level, than the average thai minimal english speaker. Both beautiful countries but I give the edge to Thailand

i still use my US purchased phone but needed to get a local sim card and number for the local networks to keep cost down… out of network costs would be extremely expensive

nope mine wouldnt either.. i had to get a new sim from the PH.. globe or smart are to two from around here, make sure youre in wifi to get it set up.. or, go to a Mall and have the person who sold you the sim help set it up for you.. youll need your passport and possibly your drivers license etc itll be a new local number you would have had to of purchased an International plan for your phone to work most everywhere

Jollibee is a non conundrum.....KFC is not what it used to be. 1970s KFC yes....today's KFC....no. Chub's ....can you show us more of Anne's friends? Has club star across centauro opened yet? Not sure if rnb club is still there in perimeter area yet are there any places that offer live music near walking street? Do you know any good places for hot wings and lechon? Now that you have spent a few months in the Philippines are you wishing you visited sooner or wish you waited longer? I keep telling my friends yolo and it's best to live the dream now than wait since there is no guarantee tomorrow will come.

yes Anne will be bringing more friends to the channel 👍😁 and as for club star, yes it has opened but still has some on-going renovations during the day There is Live music at Paradise Sports Bar and behind them as well at the Western Bar 69 Rock has good wings and Papis Bar & Chill at Drake Hotel, Lechon 🤷 no sure Absolutely i wish i would have visited earlier 👍 i was a person content/narrow minded about traveling, i thought the US was the place to be and never thot of leaving..

Anne tickles a lot of our fancies! ❤️❤️❤️ It might make sense to roll your 401k over to a Schwab IRA and check into their account management options. Let the professionals grow it for you.

@@timg5171 That might work, but what about the IRS? Kinda think most other US entities might need an address for W-2's and such. Everyone's situation is different for sure, but I personally have several IRA's, 401k, Brokerage and individual stock accounts so I get a stack of paperwork come tax time. Guess you'd have to streamline your finances, or plan on returning home to do that stuff every year. Or trust someone else to handle that stuff for you. Even a modest estate can generate paperwork galore. Could go paperless for sure, but that opens another kettle of worms with online security while overseas. I'm exceptionally paranoid about ID theft from online activities. But that's me.
