OK, here we go. This is the kind of ship I cruised on when I was your age. So every time you say OLD you are calling me old and I am only 60. Back then cruising was about relaxing, eating and seeing ports. We didn't want all those excitement experiences, we wanted to relax. We didn't have computers and cell phones and internet and all those things that make life easier. We were tired and wanted to run away on vacation. The only place to eat on a cruise ship was the MDR. Then there was a brunch buffet on deck and a grand 10pm and 12pm buffet in the MDR. Hungry in between? Room service only. After walking to work both ways uphill in the snow LOL we loved it!

Interesting. I sailed in the 90’s 5x (all on Carnival) and food was avail 24/7 in different areas of the ship. And it was still a party ship even back then.

He talks about 90's things like he wasn't around then and like it was 50 to 60 years ago. Love how his talk about the renovation was adding the flat screen in early 2000's well us old folks know flat screens like that were not that flat yet.

I mean....it is different. Ceasar salads are usually romaine lettuce, and parm cheese....with Ceasar dressing. It's different than a house salad. Lol

What's really crazy about cruises is that if you dialed back the calendar a few centuries, setting out to sea was exploring the complete unknown. Will you find land? Will you sail into the infinite abyss? Who knows?! Now, we can just set sail into the beautiful great blue and feel (relatively) confident we'll make our way home.

You would think when editing it he would take note in his own to not say the same thing everytime the camera turns on. It's like the tongs for the cookie. Of you know you know. Seems like a good ship for someone who just wants to cruise and be on the seas and go to the destinations. My last cruise was on the Carnival Extacy out of Charleston, SC and this ship reminded me of that one. Gold trim and brown everywhere. Still lots of fun! We had a cabin with balcony that was on the back of the ship and waking up to that view every morning was amazing!

Great job on the Rose Kyle for Casey!!! Luv that! Casey was adorable accepting it!!!

Y’all look like you’re in pain trying to convince us that no balcony is truly not a problem. As a claustrophobic, it would simply kill me, but I don’t want to be looking at the ocean either. So I won’t be cruising. If y’all would stop saying “its really not that bad”, we wouldn’t be concerned. 😅

Hey Kyle! When I was on Mariner I was in an interior cabin. A good trick is to bring one of the lights that get brighter during sunrise time. It helps with waking up!

I am so glad that you are enjoying Grandeur of the Seas . It has been fun for me to watch someone else explore the ship. Our family of four cruised on her in December of 2021. My son (21) and I (56) traveled together last November. When you split the bed, the room seemed so much larger for us We had an oceanview stateroom and it was really nice.

The cabin definitely looks dated and dark. This seemed like a relaxing day at sea for the 2 of you. Glad you're enjoying yourselves.

Emma Cruises has a daylight lamp that she sets to slowly come on in the morning when she cruises interior cabins. That way she wakes up to daylight.

I was in an interior cabin on Celebrity Summit a few years back was our first big cruise. Didn’t mind the cabin at all but when we were getting married we had a balcony and wouldn’t go back to interior now. Loving your cruise videos

The fact you have a couch in an interior is pretty sweet.

I was on the Encore with NCL in feb 24 and in Dominican Republic. We went for breakfast on deck 16 and we were overlooking the grandeur of the seas. It was definitely smaller than the ship I was on. Also looked very old and aged. Good to see your video to see what the interior looks like.

We usually do a balcony room or jr suite but did a short cruise with inside room on independence of the seas and it was way too small with the bunk beds pulled down for the kids. Better for just two. 😂

Cabin looked so 90s with those mirrors and panel lighting but not in a bad way. Almost like a theme room lol. It actually made me nostalgic for the Boy Meets World/ The Nanny era. And the location of that room was key.

You can put you suitcases under the bed too. They do napkin folding on all the Royal ships, big and small.

Appreciate your Grandeur videos!!! Funny to hear 90's I actually got married while sailing Grandeur when she was new (1998) Got married on Megan's Bay in St. Thomas. Sailing her again in May after just getting off Oasis last week.

Sail on . . Went scuba diving in Cozumel. Beyond a hotel was a sunken plane from a movie(?).

If you have the drink package, starbucks isn’t an up charge at cafe promenade 🤗 it’s only an up charge if it’s the actual starbucks store!

Thank you both for showing us the ship and cabin. I'm a big fan of the whole vibe on Grandeur, and had an interior in January, I really liked it even after having a suite on the previous cruise....it was very cozy, handy to everything. Kyle you are smoking hot btw.

Kyle, there’s a channel on your tv that has a webcam of the front of the ship. Keep this channel on all the time with the sound off so you have “daylight”. It acts as a window. Hopefully that will help.

Hi Kyle/Casey. Spelling & trivia are definitely not my strong points either but you guys need to pace yourselves - I mean Napkin folding, whew, that's a lot 😂 The room was bigger than I thought & did look pretty nice for an older ship. I still think I would need at least a window but if push came to shove, inside is a viable option.

Now tell me again why Kyle doesn't buy a drinking pass??? lol!

I’ve sailed on Grandeur twice, both times with a balcony, but I’d sail in an interior cabin if that’s all that was available or all I could afford at the moment. Your cabin looked nice enough.

Did you make it to the Lido deck on Carnival Liberty to see the hundreds of towel animals in the morning by the pool on all the deck chairs and in the pool? Really cool looking.

Actually looks like a relaxing ship, I just couldn't do the interior room. Not because I think I'm better than that, but because I'm claustrophobic.

I've not cruised yet, but you've definitely encouraged me to never stay in a room without a balcony or at least a view and this 90s room isn't helping any. Looks like it'll be ocean view or nothing, LOL 😂😂

I like small ships cause it's not so crowded. I bring a small clock so I don't have to fumble with the phone to know the time. I like interior cabins cause they're cheaper but my sister pefers balconies

Good morning you adorable couple. You are on my #1 cruise ship 🛳️ of all my 64 cruises since 1985. The Lady Granduer stole my heart in 1998 when we took her inaugural cruise out of Baltimore Md ( we are only 15 minutes from the Port). I have been In every category cabin except the interior (claustrophobia) I love Her so much I cruised on Her every year from Window to Royal Suite 😮. My favorite is the Grand Suite. You are correct in the Quiet Vibe of Lady Granduer. Superb relaxation. My next cruise is in August on the Norwegian Jewel cruise into Alaska and Canada. Inside Passage which I did in 1995 on a back to back cruise of Alaska inside passage then down the Pacif for 4 days through a Hurricane 🌀 off of California coast and a Typhoon off of the South Pacific 😱. When we finally got off the Ship in Hawaii, everyone got off the Legend of the Seas and kissed the ground. Then we gently cruised around the Hawaiian islands for 10 days with 7 ports of call. Amazing 21 day trip. Just returned from a 2 week Rome/Greek Islands cruise last October. I love Royal Caribbean and am almost Pinacle with them at 70 years old, am Platinum with Carnival, Elite with Celebrity , my first cruise with Norwegian in August. You two sweethearts have just begun to see the world 🌎. ❤😊 Please continue to see the world by Sea because it’s the best and most exciting of all travel, except for going to Sandals Negril Jamaica or Any Sandals All Adult, All Inclusive trip. So incredibly addictive and you will never ever experience anything like it Romantically in your whole life. Cruise on you two Lovebirds and I loved your Napkin Folding segment and the Napkin Rose to your beautiful lady is too Sweet for words. God Bless you both and keep your Vlogs coming

wow, no fridge? is it like that in ALL the rooms or just the inside cabins. not sure why those hangars annoy you. hmmm. i love them and the fact that they detach. couch is a nice touch. you did not talk about outlets...i see only two and i wonder if you also had one in the bathroom? anyway, enjoying your series on this ship. we sail in less than 2 weeks with a group of 30 sorority sisters from the 1970's. lol.

BTW you can ask for them to heat the rolls for you. We have a hot basket waiting every night. Really! Kyle you little booz hound! LOLOLOL

I was surprised to see you two's luggage IN THE closet. I've always put luggage UNDER the BED! There's plenty of room (usually) and it's out of the way; opens up space in the closet. RE: the 'hidden ducks' > my thought is: the cleaning crew will see them and take them down, especially at the end of a cruise. Otherwise, a real duck lover will take them away & keep it.
