Used to go to the grandby back in the 90s every may spring bank holiday with my parents and sister, was a beautiful hotel back then and every year had the same guests coming back.

On first impressions it looked really nice. I can't believe the tap wasn't working and there was no hot water! The pillows I would have swapped even with clean pillow cases, put the clean pillow on top. The dust was an issue. Asthmatics nightmare. Loved the visit to the seaside. 😊

If you can The Mountview is well worth a stay and is fairly cheap for Scarborough, ask for the room that has its own door and entrance think we paid around £35 was well worth it, Great vlog by the way

I'm pretty sure the switch saying 'do not switch off' is related to the shower motor and/or hot water. I'm 12 mins into the video so maybe that gets explained later. I would have switched it on to see if it improved things. EDIT: Yep, that got explained, I'm guessing it's probably a dodgy thermostat

Hi buddy we had same problem double room no hot water was told it was getting fixed on the day we arrived i noticed on your video the switch blinks red a cupple of times its faulty connection but just seems awkward it been in two different rooms no hot water maybe they cant afford heating bills and yes to everyone brilliant content fab personality adam and yes we will stay again it is what it is we love Scarborough ❤ ❤

Not that bad for a cheap hotel

It is in North Yorkshire not East Yorkshire and it has 2 beaches, the north bay being the better one. The opening shot is on the south bay.

The shower dose work you had the wrong settings. Also it was oat milk not oats. Lovely room well worth 28 pound. Please put the pillow in the bin the bottom drawer just needed pulled out and put back in

Hey Adam if you love Fish and Chips then you should definitely try O Shea's Chippy that is located at Barry Island as they have got some of the creamiest and best chips that I have ever tried and tasted mate. They were so creamy and so ridiculously smooth in the middle the potato was fluffy and delicious buddy.

Book the same type of room in the grand to compare it. That’s an amazing room and price and I don’t think the grand will beat it. Did that room include breakfast? I’d probably stay there if I was in Scarborough. I thought that it looked like it had a recent makeover. For that price I’d probably would have went uptown to Argos and bought a cheap duvet and a couple of pillows. Only if I was staying there a week or more though. I would have probably left the duvet and pillows there as a favour I might have even swapped them out for the dirty ones and binned the old. For one night id have no problems with the bed it’s obviously clean sheets and pillow cases. You mentioned communal areas with WI-FI were they alright as well? Id say that room was an eight out of ten. Probably a nine if there was hot water at least in the shower.

Love love love your sense of humor. On the surface the room looks pretty darn good. But.... No hot water, would be a issue for me. In addition, wow needs a good dusting and mold control in the bathroom. Such a tiny TV lol. In all fairness to the bedding, could very well be clean as stains don't wash out, and it would be terrible expensive to replace every time some sweated on it or pee'd. Lol Would I stay, if I didn't need to shower yes. If the price is right. Great video thank you. Love your pink cleaning set. Hope you have a wee child at home.

You had me at fingering the skirting boards 😂😂 the only thing that i couldnt have done was put my head on those pillows other than that it was relatively clean also you could have boiled the kettle for some hot water for a wash 😊

Hi Adam, This was a lovely Hotel in the 80s and 90s till the owners sold up. Im sure I watched a vlog about 3 weeks ago about this place and Hotel Hunter stayed here. Infact I think it was the same room, recognise the bedding. He was not impressed at all. I dont think I dreamt it.

We used to stay there in 80s and 90s the couple who run it were brilliant and did things for guests to do like a treasure hunt around Scarborough, the arcade game was brilliant too was like a cops and robbers game and I can't find it anywhere to play now

Cant say better than that ??? Surely the hotel cleaners and room supervisors know the tap is faulty there is no hot water. Do they not have a check list ? I bet if you go back to that room. It's the same

It doesn't look too bad at first glance. I've never seen colored towels in a hotel and the pillows were pretty disgusting (although I've never checked my pillows in a hotel - daren't) It looks like a good deal!!

Modernise these places for what people expect of Vegas or other foreign places.. we have the weather now in the UK, make it match the attractions. Preserve a lot of the Victorian resort heritage, but modernise everything, copy1 what the do elsewhere that is successful in hotter countries, and i don't mean just copy the Brits abroad nightlife
