De hecho las batas que ponen en la cama deberían tener el diseño de los uniformes a rayas de las prisiones clásicas.
This is how you do a refit. It looks beautiful but still has all the elements of the original building either featured or as a novelty talking point. The architects and designers who worked on this should be applauded. I would love to stay here but I get the feeling just from the video that it is 100% haunted. I’d definitely need a sleep buddy, too!

Yes the design concept was spot on. My only reservation is I couldn't cope with those tiny windows, a bit too authentic for me .
In my humble opinion this is easily the best and most interesting hotel you have ever visted on the channel, and I think the price you paid of £130.00 a night including breakfast was very reasonable given the high quality and general ambiance of the place. I live up in Nottingham but am definately going to make the effort to have a couple of nights here at some point. Maybe all the staff should dress up as 'screws' to add even more to the theme....Just kidding, but being serious, this hotel looks fantastic!

My wife and I stayed at Bodmin jail in September 2022. And, strangely enough, we stayed in room 208 - SPOOKY! 😂 I honestly can't say enough good things about the jail and the staff. It was amazing! The room, the food, the ambience of the place was amazing. In fact, it was so good, we're going back this year! And the cocktails were stunning and the guys mixing them were hilarious!

Stunning. The designers and tradesmen have done an amazing job. The attention to detail that other places miss, like the spot on lighting to create the atmosphere. I visited Bodium Jail a couple years ago. Really interesting place. Top quality video as always. Like seriously, your production values are so good. You make everything look so easy, which is a sign of a well put together video. Makes you focus on the content.

I visited Alcatraz in San Francisco many years ago when they were in the early days of preparing it for the public to visit. During the tour we were taken to a solitary confinement cell which felt very authentic because it was dirty and stank. They asked for volunteers to go in and have the door locked, so of course my boyfriend and I volunteered. We were locked in there for three minutes. The heavy door was a foot thick and there were no windows, pitch black for three minutes felt like a lifetime!

'I feel as though I'm in a cave.' She hit the nail on the head there.
They should take a mugshot when you check in
The designers did a really good job with the subtle lighting.
Gabby’s face when you said “ we won’t be going to the posh restaurant tonight “ was a picture 😂
The first thing that came to my mind was 'wouldn't this be a haunted hotel' & then you said the thing about your audio being cut 8 times... The hotel does look lovely, I'd definitely go for the experience!
Who ever rehabbed that prison is brilliant, it’s beautiful. That baby is ridiculously cute.
Everything about this hotel looks good. Comfy bed, great lighting, and so much attention to detail about the whole place. And you even had a proper, large mushroom for breakfast instead of the rubbery button version.
There’s something about stairs leading nowhere that unnerves me on a deep, primal level, like I’ve stumbled across something I wasn’t supposed to see.

yes freaked me out ..from a distant but awful past
That’s a fabulous conversion - really nicely done. I think it felt so quiet because of the thickness of the walls. Famously the jail is one of the places where Derek Acorah, a “medium” was caught out! In an episode of Most Haunted, Acorah claimed to have been possessed by a spirit named Kreed Kafer, a South African. It was later revealed that "Kreed Kafer" was a fictional character, who was created purely for the show - it’s an anagram of “derek Faker” 😆 Love to stay there - one to put on the list!
They did great with transforming this into a Hotel...very classy. I watched your other prison hotel video before this one and I agree with you...this hotel is better. The bathroom sold me! 😍😍😍
Hi Tim cant believe how that looks now I was there about 15years ago when it was really run down it was the most creepiest place I'd ever been in I tock loads of photos and every one was full of orbs I had really bad dreams that night when I got back to where I was staying you could really feel the misery and suffering that went on in that place I'm really surprised it's been turned in to a hotel now

such a shame I agree, it was far better as an attraction ,did you stand in the haunted cell ,well what was left of it as wall was missing ,and you looked out to the naval sailors wing of the prison from the broken window .I visited in the 80,s/90,s several times .
Your baby is adorable! Such a happy boy!! ❤
Tim said “ This is like the biggest mirror ever and, just for a second-I don’t know if the camera picks this up but look… How clean it is. 😊😅 That mirror looked immaculate! One of the cleanest bathrooms I’ve seen. It’s hard to believe that bathroom is in a prison hotel! Great video as always Tim! Much love to your family! 🙌✨👏
I love this idea! Reusing such a unique & historic building; doing enough to make it a really good hotel but sympathetically. The stone is so warm & unusual - like a castle. Good a poor prisoner, staring at the cell ceiling, ever imagine in a million years that it would one day be a hotel!
Thanks for a really interesting video. It’s nice to see an old building being used rather than being left to rot. Casper is sooo cute, bless him. Thanks Tim and Gaby😊
Repurpose a building into a Hotel or whatever is a fabulous ideal This was a place I would only stay once very clean and comfortable. Thanks for the tour of the joint.
You guys are super brave, I felt uneasy even watching this and not much scare me. I love paranormal stuff. Thought you may have lost the plot wanting for 3 seconds to be shut in a cell. My apologies I couldn't finish the video, way too creepy for me. But many thanks the 3 of you. Xxx
I went to visit the museum last year. It’s really good. It’s very haunted. I never got to see the hotel part though. 16:00 I’m getting this feeling that those metal things out side of the room was where the prisoner was probably tied up when they let them out side of their cell. I feel like it was where they could have been punished.

It’s a shame you didn’t get the chance to visit before the new owners took over and ruined it. I have photos with actual ghosts in, glowing faces and orbs. It’s not the same now.
What an incredible concept! Such a masculine vibe with black combined with elements of steele, stone and leather. I love the details, like the former chapel ceiling and the automatic strip lights that luminate the grid panels in the main halls, otherwise its low light ambient. The diamond plate panels in the gym, even the bars and chains at the entrance, even the ghost tour! I don't think it's overdone because they have to offer something extra ordinary to attract guests. I would stay there for sure!
Now this looks, very classy. What a great remake or refit. Makes for an unusual experience.
the room looked so comfy
Absolutely amazing!! 😂 brought the bodyguard.
The hotel looks absolutely amazing tim and little casper should feel at home with the other ghosts lol, don't you dare joke about locking him in a cell lol he is such a lovely handsome little man.
Must have cost an arm and a leg to convert the jail into these rooms! So creepy though. Don't think I could stay there even with all that luxury behind the cell doors. You do such a good presentation of places, it's such a shame the TV people don't snap you up to present some of their programmes! They're missing a trick for sure!......x J x

So cool! This reminds me of a hotel I stayed at in Boston in the US called "The Liberty"...it was probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, especially considering it was also a former jail!!! I'll never forget the bathroom...it was so beautiful and luxurious! The Bodmin, though, looks way more authentic, older and spookier...Thanks for sharing, Tim!
Love the idea where instead of deserting or destroy but using them for something highly productive.
Looks really nice there to be fair - great bed - nice and quiet and the bathroom looks great - for £130 it's a decent price with breakfast included - I'll have to check this out sometime 😀
Thank goodness the glass on the shower wasn't more reflective at 18:37 😅 I got worried you might have accidentally revealed too much there for a brief moment!
That bathroom … the surfaces are so high end . I love this hotel and the fact that it’s haunted is a bonus for me! 😂 Those windows are crazy. Really brings the prison vibe to front. Love the descriptions of the inmates.
That really seemed a unique place to stay, and that fact alone must add to the value of the room. Watching your footage I sensed the most creep when you entered the bathroom - utterly still, no noise, no fans, no sense of anyone else left in the world that hadn't been hung already. The only downside must be, however, that carpet - really dubious sub-Spoons pattern, that!
Just wanted to say I really like this channel. You come across as very down-to-earth, friendly and genuinely interested. Also, it's not as edited as some other channels. Editing isn't bad per se, but as a viewer this here makes me feel much more like I'm actually coming along, having a look. Grips me more.

Glad to see they left the bean holes in some of the doors to keep authentic. Imagine the things that went on there. Reminds me of Marquette state prison in Michigan.
Indeed, without doubt, an incredibly unique hotel. When you referred to the cost in the Q&A which you did I thought it sounded reasonable. Having now seen the hotel in detail, whilst a little on the expensive side, it is very much worth it with breakfast included. Two course dinner for £25, assuming high quality food, is also very good. I think the word you were looking for at breakfast was toast rack, which to be honest I would have expected the toast to be served in. And finally(!) always great to see Thumps.

Looks like the sort of cell, Mr Briggs would have in the Italian job. Being an important inmate. It looks very swish. 😊

Welcome to my neck of the woods :) Have done a couple overnight host hunts before the converted it. It looks exactly the same! So clever. Will defo have to have a stay-cation x
The round thing in your breakfast that you were wondering what it was - hogs pudding, yum! 😋
I was fascinated by this video. I remember when this was derelict and empty and Most Haunted did an investigation here some years ago early 2000s I think it was. Now look at the place. It’s a five star establishment and one I would go and stay at just for the experience. Nicely filmed, though no ghost capture this time round. Perhaps the ghosts have found it too posh for themselves lol🤣🤣. Nice video Tim👍

Where I live by Oxford, the Malmaison in Oxford centre used to be the prison which is now a hotel, like this the rooms are the cells and the balcony by the rooms is the same. Bad girls was also filmed there before being converted
Wow that looks incredible and certainly very unique , I can’t believe how eerily quiet it is
That’s probably the coolest hotel I’ve ever seen. Lovely stuff Tim bro
I couldn't stay there, just imagining the evil soaked into those walls would spook me, not to mention the suffering of the innocent ones who were probably sent there too. The room was claustrophobic with the tiny window. Glad you enjoyed it though.
This place looked fantastic. I just watched this after 'The best in hotel in Whitby' and damn this place is so much better. I'd love to stay there! The atmosphere is such a nice balance of cosy and creepy. Everything looks quality. More places need to reuse old buildings like this and do it right (So not Britannia...). It's soo cool.

Wow! This looks amazing. On my things we need to do list.
I love a big slice of history and this certainly ticks the boxes for unique experiences. Love the info about each individual cell and the option to pay to go on a ghost tour- i’d be straight there as I find it so interesting. A very reasonable price for a one off unique experience. I think i’d probably feel that the walls were closing in on the cells a little bit though so strangely would have to close the curtains to trick myself into thinking this isn’t a cell with tiny barred windows. Great vlog
Wow the way they have transformed this prison into a hotel is awsome
Love seeing the family with you.
I really liked the ambient lighting especially against the stone walls. I think i'd rather stay in a prison hotel of my own choice than stay at HMP as an inmate. Lovely vlog Tim. I think it would be brilliant as a surprise get together, would definitely be a talking point when meeting people on different holidays, we all like to recommend hotels we've stayed at.
