I had my doubts that Mikki has no real clue about poker, and this video confirmed it. I also find it interesting how he suckered you in saying he doesn't have a vig or markup but normally does it at 50%... which is obviously high... in contrast some Russian ETP stables play at 5%, regular staking rates when backer covers all of the BI is around 10 to 20% depending on how good of a player is. But there is a new online poker staking trend of stake back+50% - 50%. Also when you asked him for a simple staking definition, dude went ahead to tell you about all the sites there is and everything else without even getting to term before the cut scene... lol I am sure Mikki is a nice dude, but he is certainly a poker fish and this was funny.

@@samyoung8815 No a markup is what's charged on the % you sell (which takes the total over 100%). For example a $1000 buy in, someone stakes 10% ($100) with a mark up of 1.1, and the other 90% ($900) someone else stakes for the same mark up. On top of that 10% ($100) the person buying the action pays an EXTRA $10 for the privilege and on top of the 90% that person pays an extra $90. So that's $1100 in total, the extra goes into the players pocket as a mark up, aka cost of buying the action. Just cos Mikki gets a bigger cut for doing the actual work and sitting there for possibly 3 days playing poker, doesn't mean there's any mark up as the total money spent is still only 100% of the buy in and not more. So it doesn't necessarily mean there is a markup if they don't split any winnings evenly.

@@DaftFader No. A markup is what's charged in excess of the percentage of winnings the staker gets in return. For example, in a $1,000 buy in tournament a player sells 10% at 1.1 ($110) and covers the rest himself ($890). The total money spent is $1,000, but there is still a markup. The total never went over 100% of the buy in, yet the staker paid extra for his action. Markup. In the case of Mikki, he sold at a markup of 10, which is absurd. Most pros sell around 1.1, not at fucking 10.

You literally cannot win in the long term in Baccarat. It is a negative EV game. While Mikki might have won a ton, he cannot say he is positive EV player. That's like saying 2 + 2 is 5. For those that do not understand EV, let's say you and I bet on the coin flip and we are betting $100. If it's heads you get $100. If it's tails, I get $100. BUT if it lands on its edge, I also win. Even if the probability of me winning by the coin landing on it's edge is 1 in 1,000,000.... That means if we flip coin 1,000,001, it's heads for 500,000 times, tails for 500,000 times, the one time it lands on it's edge and I win $100 is enough for me to be a winner in the long run. Casinos will ALWAYS win in the long run. I've had plenty of runs where I won $25,000 to $100,000 at a casino, but Im still a net loser overall in the long-term.

He claims to have a system for beating one of the table games (I forget which) and that he has made 10's of millions of dollars. He states that he can't release it or it would get ruined. No one has disproved this and Mikki is the only one who can prove it, but he won't for the aforementioned reason. There is a chance this is true but as you know most people that claim they have a system are actually full of shit ( so most people will call BS until proven otherwise). Right now all we "know" is that he has won millions according to Spencer, so this does lend credibility to having some sort of edge.

lol imagine giving mikki a 75/25 split... amazing. usually 1 time events are either 50/50 or 25/75-20/80 (backer receiving 75/80). Also it's quite likely that Mikki has a -ev on a 1k turbo tournament (although.. people are really bad so its unlikely).

@@hhh1200 NP. Check out his podcast " Be better bettors ". He recommends a book called "The Logic of Sports Betting" and so do I. When you read that book and understand how betting markets are ultimately made it becomes clear that finding market inefficiencies is very possible. The real problem with guys like Spanky and the dude in Denver isn't selection criteria but finding people willing to take their action. The creative lengths that some of these pros go to ( Billy Walters perfect example ) just to get their bets down makes me laugh out loud sometimes.
