She was a classmate of mine in High school. During that time she seemed like a nice girl. I was in the army when she did this crime. Never once did I think she was capable of killing someone, but I didn't know the history of her upbringing either. She is now out of prison, married and has two twin sons. I do have mixed emotions about her being paroled. People do change and understanding what damage they've caused. But, she did kill someone... How many years is enough behind bars. Everyone has an opinion.

I’m now making around 3x as much. But McD’s was always good to me and worked around my school schedule. You’re never too old or too good for McDonald’s. But I’m a Gen Xer and was taught a strong work ethic.

@sunnyblueskies6505 Fellow GenXer here...born July 1980! Having the strength & temerity to do whatever it takes to get yourself to a point in life where you've accomplished some big goals, continued your education, worked a "menial" job & feel justifiably proud of yourself is DEFINITELY a big deal, at least in my opinion. I'm proud of you & want to thank you for telling everyone that working in a "menial" job, especially in order to be able to reach your goals, is nothing to be ashamed of. This world NEEDS all of the "little people" (aka non-wealthy hard workers) more than the bazillion greedy, overpaid, power-hungry executives that serve no real purpose & that's a fact!!! Congratulations on your success so far & I wish you all the best in the future as well!!! 😊😊😊

If you’re a high school or college age person no. It’s embarrassing if you are in your late twenties or older unless you have some kind of disability or someone really high up on the chain. Sorry not sorry. Expect more from yourself than working a fast food restaurant. Yes it’s still better than nothing but again it’s not typically the sign of a higher class/quality of person as a grown adult past your mid 20s. It says you are either too dumb and/or lazy to do anything better with your life.

We were dirt poor as kids, moving constantly. We changed schools ridiculously often. We were very good students, regardless. My mother wasn’t the most stable person either. But, I would NEVER have attacked someone over a pair of jeans. We worked hard as kids. In fields, packing houses, etc. There are kids who are raised in the projects, getting shot at on the way to school and become very successful human beings. Well, like you said though, only two people were there and one of them is dead. So, who knows what really happened. Anyway, good story telling as always, Lamont and always a pleasure seeing you on screen.

Yeah, why is there ALWAYS ONE IN EVERY CROWD?! A man in his 40's asking a 17 Year Old to Pose Nude for him at his home, WOW!!!! And yes, she could have AT LEAST called the Police, but, as you said, we weren't there!!!! Off-Topic - That color T-Shirt you have on really BRINGS OUT YOUR EYES!!!!

No big feelings about this case. But I 100% agree. SAD/ dysfunctional upbringing’s are NEVER an excuse. I won’t embellish my youth. By dang I never killed or hurt others including theft. I own my mistakes. Bless you Lamont.

I was very lucky to have had a good childhood and when my parents came into some $, my mom made sure I had the clothes I wanted. As a teen, as usual, I was worried about labels and what brand of clothes I wore. Now, as an adult, I could care less. Clothes are clothes. I CANNOT imagine killing someone for a pair of jeans. Wow.

She did really well at school after a crapy upbringing, and threw it all away for 30 years in prison. There’s no excuse at all to kill someone, if she did what she did In 🇬🇧, she would only get about 8 years for murder, unless your a danger to the public. So 30 years is pretty good. RIP to the victim 💐💐💐💐, thank you so much Lamont, take care xxxxx

I remember back 50 years ago! My mom would dig from the Salvation Army box for used clothing for us five siblings. The only complaint I had growing up was that we had little to eat. That was somehow due to a situation with my Dad's income and that we were white!

@NuffinEdited I too! Still wear secondhand clothing shamelessly. I have been homeless twice due to an unjust divorce. Two years ago, I purchased a small lot where I plan to build my own tiny house. BUT I WILL NEVER STEAL, KILL OR LIE to care for myself. I will also NEVER!! marry again.

I feel so bad for the man that lost his life over Jordache Jeans. I had a scholarship to OSU and in the '80's I had to maintain a B average. Yvette deserves to rot for the rest of her life. She made her bed now she's got to lay in it. I never would have let her out. 😡
