My mate 20 pro is on its last leg and I'm looking for a new phone, but nothing suits me like huawei phones. Sad to see them being left in the dust only because they were selling better than Apple and Samsung.

This is the video I have been looking for as I had the same issue with banking apps. Huawei phones have always been innovative. As soon as I can safely use my banking app on a Huawei phone I'll switch back. Thank you for the informative video.

Excellent vedio and speech! I had the same issue like you: the banking apps. I'm consider to downgrade the firmwear and install GMS, then upgrade the firmware, a lot people havdone that successful.

Yes you can downgrade the firmware to EMUI10 and install google services at the system level using MicroG tool

I don't have issues with my Mate 40 pro. But I csnt get gbox. I've tried to search for it but it doesn't show. Edit: okay switched my location from China to Zimbabwe. Now it's available on petal search. Thanks.

This, is huawei still good without gms it depends from country to country like here in Croatia all banking apps are here for google apps I use gms and for maps ect I use huawei versions like petal maps which I find better. But in your case where some banking apps are not officialy availabe in appgallery I would not recoemnd huawei phone in that case. Also I didn't find an app on app gallery that tells me that it is not functiing weithou t gms

I really needed to see this video. Coz I've been a Huawei fanatic for a very long time now getting forced away from the brand coz of the suctions

In South Africa all the bank apps work fine, Bolt hailing works, and I got the KZread app working fine, even games played nice with it

I had the p50 base model sometime last year manually appdating apps from apk pure is a nightmare tried to use Aurora store but the experience compared to gplay store is not that great. Huawei is just now hardware nothing more

As a stubborn Huawei fan myself, i thank you for making this

I had a Huawei phone before the sanctions and it was great but afterwards gosh it was a nightmare 😂. But i finally got the A73 last year and I've never been happier.

Google is the best for obvious reasons. But that is the problem. We are giving too much power to one company. Especially when that company knows every conceivable detail about our lives.

That's ok for me, they can use my internet browsing behavior, even my mic if they'd like to - make their products better as long as I'm not aware of it and no one I know has access to that data (which is what every search engine does anyway)

There is no need for a mod. The regular app works just fine however it is available through 3rd party app stores like APKpure

@techzimtv i mean for you to prefer something it has to offer some advantage over the others and rn Huawei doesnt seem to have any anymore. I was really hurt by the sanctions imposed on them because they really did offer a competitive alternative to Apple and Samsung. Just not anymore.

I regret buying Huawei without Google services. It's useless really. I just bought a Samsung, my journey with Huawei has ended today.
