    If anyone is looking for that ESR model and can't find it in stock, it is actually an OEM product sold by several brands. The model number is E33B. Many of the brands use the same model number. There is also a smaller 5000mah version called the E33A.

    Oh Aaron, one thing that wasn’t covered…..heat. It’s despite having the Otterbox 5k version, and Apple boosting it to 7.5w, I still prefer and carry my Apple MagSafe battery. I think the 7.5W makes it warm up more than it did (barely noticed it before the boost), I still rather have the Apple integration, especially on my older 12 ProMax.

    That’s basically the MOST important thing to test! Especially when linked to the smart charging feature that the Apple MagSafe battery offers, that stops charging if the phone and the battery gets too hot, as well as not charging past 90% (unless chosen to). The Apple MagSafe battery pack is the best by far, as it’s the only one that will preserve your phone’s and its own battery by avoiding overheating and continuously charging (and heating and draining the battery pack) your phone, even once its at 100%. For those that don’t know why this is so important: One of the main reasons why a battery depletes its lifespan it heat! Heat is a battery’s number 1 enemy.

    The Apple MagSafe is a great product - it is not designed to fill it up along the day, you use it when you start your day (if you’re expecting a heavy use) and it keeps your phone battery at around 91 pct all the while managing the heat etc. Been using it a lot during trips and extends the reach of your phone to avoid that end of day anxiety… and it’s light and small and doubles as a wireless charger when needed or to give the AirPods a quick boost…

    Hey I’ve been following your channel for years (back from the first UAG videos hehe). I do have some constructive criticism if you will, whilst measuring how strong are the magnets, you better should have presented other relevant figures like total charging time and in particular heat temperatures ( this is one of great debate now as many users claimed Anker and other products doesn’t have proper heat management and dissipation which can cause issues to the iPhone’s battery, and the main reason Apple’s own product is different)

    I really love my 13mini ! I didn’t want to give up on the previous se2016 model had as it was a dreamy size. The small size to me is the best for fitting nicely into pants front pockets, doesn’t weight shorts down and can hold n text with one hand quickly. The huge size of phones these days is silly!!! Frankly if I want a bigger screen I use my iPad or TV. Would have settled for the 2020SE yet at Xmas they had great deal on mini…the best times are like November sales into New year. I wouldn’t pay up front! I saved half the cost on two year plan only adding 20-25$ a month for two years plus I got 2yr apple plan with it, case, otter box smart charger from wireless retailer. Had my mum not talked me into the care plan I would have very glad got AirPods with their 500$ in-store coupon. Soooo really I got value of 500$ when signed. Totally will pay 600$ over two years including tax for 900$ without tax for 13 mini I phone. I like that math! This is the reason rarely folks buy out right! No need to save more than monthly adjustments. Thanks for sharing on battery banks…now to make up my mind… I find mini for my use end up charging phone twice thru my day soooo really want to get a method for this while travelling! Don’t like the idea of added stress when navigating transit/sightseeing in very unfamiliar places, lack of knowing their language and being solo traveller. Sure it would be really ok just rather have the ease incase of it. The battery banks can be heavy, cords if charging while being on the go-I can make it work-just rather have MagSafe bank then put that in my sling to charge whenever needed on very long days if bring bank with me. It’s the days when have a flight, transit, Airbnb checkins, or sightseeing as can’t check in until later or out alllll day touring or camping thru hikes which is another situation all together. As a 43year I really love how technology has evolved ! Especially how easy google maps makes traveling ! AnywhoooooO Wish myself luck on deciding Ps your dog looks SO adorable! And smart!!!

    I'm an Android User (Pixel 7 Pro) using a Magsafe compatible case on my phone. A couple notes on these products from my experience: 1) Spigen seems to go beyond its 7.5W rating on Android, based on an app that tries to measure this stuff I got 9W. As a result it gets very hot, but rather than throttle it stays at that level until it triggers it's thermal shutoff after about 5 minutes of charging 2) The Anker 622 doesn't support 7.5W on Android, only 5W. As a result it is slow but has none of the heat issues I hear many iPhone reviews complain about. 3) You fell for marketing deception with the ESR Halo lock. it is technically a 15W wireless charger, just not on iPhone. It supports 15W for Qi EPP, but not Apple's proprietary MagSafe protocol. So you're only getting 7.5W max. That being said you don't want 15W. It gets scary hot at 15W when used on Android. Also it is an OEM product not made by ESR. Search for E33B (or E33A for a 5k model) and you'll find a dozen brands selling it, some for cheaper than ESR.

    @OmairArif

    @@bernardomotard after trying about 12 chargers, none of them are perfect for Android. If you want a small battery, I would go with the OtterBox 3K. It's slim and works as a good emergency battery, it won't get anywhere near filling your phone though. Otherwise I would go with the older Baseus 10,000mah charger (the rectangular one without the kickstand). It's magnets aren't the strongest (the newer Baseus chargers are much better in that regard) but because of its layout the charging circuitry and battery are more spread out, so the heat doesn't build up as much.

    I can try and answer the second question, the number one enemy of all lithium-ion batteries is heat (at least when charging) . Not charging to 100% when you absolutely don’t need to and plugging in before you get the low battery notification also helps. Albeit much less than simply avoiding heating up your phone. And finally, don’t stress about it. Apple is the only manufacturer that shows you your battery health level, so surely they care about preserving it as much as possible.

    What I think is realistic about these, is they’re not intended to make your phone go from 0-100%. It would take way too long and generate so much heat risking your batteries health. This just so you can get that extra 20-30% when you need it before you get home and actually plug it in. I used to hate carrying around those little power banks with a cable. These are just like mini battery extenders.

    Hopefully you can get your hands on the new XiaoMi MagSafe battery pack + stand with 5000mAh. Seems like a good option with contact PIN charging instead of having to plug in USB C cable to charge the battery pack. Looking forward for you to test it! 😂

    The Apple battery has one thing that none of the 3rd party battery packs have - a very important ’thing’. Heat can damage batteries. The Apple MagSafe battery monitors the battery pack and iPhone battery temperature and can slow down or even temporarily stop charging to prevent damage to the iPhone and MagSafe battery. A note, the Apple pack should be considered a battery extender, rather than a battery pack.
