I lived in Luton for 10 years from 10 till 21 it was fine still have friends down there. The chicken shops are decent down there. There used to be a cinema in the town centre has that gone now ?

Although fair respect to Luton for getting into the Premier-league (Football). I've been to Luton many a times and flown abroad from there and all been OK. I love your channel but just think of good points with Luton.....Premier league (Well deserved) football. Airport. Vauxhall motors and right next to the M1 motorway.

Spends 14 minutes complaining there’s nothing to do but refuses to go to the fun fare, brilliant.

Best thing you can do is nip up the road to the airport and get on a flight to ANYWHERE.

I can feel the misery through the screen! the actual entrance is from the shopping centre not that car bridge haah - so you walk into the shopping mall and then elevator to the car park

I found this channel a few weeks ago when I was poorly and had some time off work, I've now watched pretty much every video and think they are hilarious. A completely different style to most youtubers! keep it up Ed!

Can you go to Liverpool city?

I used to be a 'Chugger' (charity fundraiser) 😅 I did it for 7 years and have worked all over the UK travelling to a new area every week and a different town or city every day. In that 7 years, I only ever went to Luton once but I got more sign ups there than any other place in the entire UK within that 7 years. The people don't have alot but they were certainly willing to give!

You were probably the highlight of their day. I avoid chuggers like the plague, some of them are really aggressive in my experience.

I googled whats good about Luton, the results (no joke) "Luton has great high-speed travel into Central London, access to key roads, and easy access motorways and Luton Airport".XD The good thing is you can leave in MANY ways.

That Window view in the morning I'm convinced is what inspired Fallout 76

I stayed at that Thistle Express the night before an early morning flight, and my experience of Luton pretty much exactly mirrored yours 😂 Worst part was that I’d arrived late afternoon, so even the shops in the mall were starting to shut - and once they’d gone, there was truly nothing to do except wander round in circles like a pigeon with a head injury

Had a week in Mevagissey, Cornwall, actually really enjoyed it. Highlight was seeing a hermit crab changing its home in Mevagisseys aquarium.

The little town I grew up in, Carlisle, Kentucky, had a couple of interesting characters who always walked the streets. One of them was nicknamed Skillet, and the other one was nicknamed Pork Chop 😂. Thanks for making me remember them Ed 🙌

I remember that hotel in the late 90’s (Thistle Luton, before they realised tacking ‘express’ on managed expectations better) and it boasted the cheapest bar in the town centre, opening out into that delightful area where the fun fair was. Double Vodka Redbulls and change from a £2 coin! The street drinkers were the main customers alongside the occasional lost-looking overseas business person, who had inexplicably found themselves in Luton. There’s really not much to say in Luton’s defence.

i gota say one of these vids popped up on my feed, clicked on it not realy thinking and from the getco ed had an impressive style as well as saying what he wants and frankly not giving a crap about what others think, well done mate.

Ha… oh my god, further in to your video and this is where I stayed… there were people walking around bare foot when I arrived. I got told that the hotel was providing rooms to the homeless…

04:01 - I mean it's not exactly a shining example but Glasgow has a funfair in the centre (St Enoch's Square) just outside the station during the festive season. Paisley also too during Christmas time.

You should go to Plymouth in Devon! Someone once told me (though I'm sure it's not true) that after WWII they had so much excess concrete they built Plymouth as its all grey and concrete! You should visit they do have a good sea life aquarium at least

You should come and visit the Buckinghamshire area. I do a lot of journeys to somewhere called High Wycombe so in between the journeys I see a lot of the more photogenic parts of the county and Buckinghamshire is actually a typical but beautiful English countryside county outside of the bigger towns. The smaller than your expected towns of Amersham, Marlow, Beaconsfield and Princes Risbrough are nice places dotted around the beautiful South Bucks-Chiltern Hills. There are a massive portion of pubs and restaurants in my area and many in the Chilterns with much better views of the countryside. In fact the pubs here are lovely in the valleys and the there's plenty of walking and camping spots. Just don't bother with the three bigger towns they're depressing, especially Milton Keynes that although has decent shopping it is an over hyped dump that from above looks like a giant international airport terminal (aka concrete jungle).

Another great video. “Disturbed Ice cream” lol that’s my banking password, I will have to change it now. Re “local characters” of you don’t know any then you are the local character 😂😂

Most towns are the same. As long as there's a few decent pubs with nice locals they're alright 🤣 Same goes for London to be fair, but most pubs in London seem to shut really early (11/12pm) unless you're in Soho or something.
