I Spent 24 hours in a Luxury Airport (Doha, Qatar)
The Airport in Doha, Qatar is one of the nicest airports in the world. It is home to the Al Mourjan Business Lounge which was voted the best in the world in 2022. I spent a full day exploring this lounge as well as a transit hotel inside the airport.

When all other hubs were shutdown during Covid April 2020, Hamad International remained open. Qatar Airways kept their services going. Getting people home. I was locked down in Kuwait when Qatar Airways and The Australian Consulate arranged a flight out to get me home to Brisbane. My colleagues didn’t see their families for a year but Qatar got me home to my wife and kids when nobody else could. I’ll be forever grateful to them. Great airline.

Amazing story! Nice to hear that you were able to get back home thanks to them
3 weeks ago I spent 10 hours at Hamad International Airport and loved every minute eating at Harrod’s Tea Room, chocolates, window shopping and spraying myself with lots of perfume. Can’t wait to return.
I was connecting a flight from Zanzibar to Texas at Qatar. Long story short I was stuck at the airport for nearly 4 days lol. Flights from Qatar to Texas leave every 2 days. The business class lounge made things a lot easier for sure and the showers were absolutely amazing lol.

@@jazeelhusain6254 it was during Covid when Qatar was not allowing any tourists into the country at all. Since the overnight hotels were outside the airport, they were closed to travellers as well. I arrived two days early waiting for my flight to Texas not knowing any of this as there were no updates. Then I missed my flight and had to wait another two days! Lol. I had to ask the military (international affairs) for permission to stay that long as it was not allowed and so they were trying to get me to take a flight to NewYork, the other side of America 😂. I ended up staying 4 days at the business class lounge (probably a world record). Now you have the long story haha.

It is such an enjoyable layover. I had the same experience and really enjoyed 🥰🤩

16:20 great info on the city tour of Doha for only approximately US$! Just FYI, you may have been able to pick up a rapid Covid test from a pharmacy in the airport and do it yourself. Once confirmed that it was negative you could have allowed them to do it and go on your tour. Just a thought for anyone in the same situation.

Wow! I have never seen an airport anywhere close to being that nice!
The sleeping pods are not that much better than the lounge chair at that airport. It’s a hard recliner type thing in a box 😂. I was scared to wander off during my 19 hour layover in Qatar but then I discovered when I went back that it’s actually not hard to get around Doha and it’s safe. Would definitely go to Souq Waqif and back to the airport if I ever had another long layover just to buy some baklava!! Just fyi for anybody Qatar Airways offers tours if you fly them for long layovers! Great video it’s good to know all the airport offers!!

I was at Hamad Int. for the first time a couple of weeks ago - massive airport. I was very happy to find the yellow bear (interesting it is supposed to provide comfort when it has a lamp stuck in its head!). Al Mourjan lounge was terrific although i didn't see all of it. Restaurant was great - the assorted sushi was delicious. Really excellent video - it's amazing how much there is to do in this lounge.
Wow didnt know about the pool will definitely check it out next time i have a longer Layover

Thank you for the video, made me happy when I am depressed.
You got a great deal on the massage places. I booked the hotel since I'm traveling with my GF who has never flown long haul. It was $300 USD for the night booked several months in advance. We will be sleeping in the lounge for our shorter 2-8am return.

Everything about Qatar is sublime amd flexible
Qatar Airlines is the best airline. ❤❤ On so many levels. 2018 i got very sick at the airport, when I landed from Bangkok, and several people of the Qatar Airways stuff took so good care of me. They took me to a medical center at the airport. Then the business lounge to rest. Then they booked a hotel room near the airport so I could sleep properly. And got me a new flight the day after. I could never thank them. enough for what they did for me, and how protected i felt. So professional and humble at the same time. Love Qatar Airways ❤
Got me subscribed after watching dis vid. Stay safe mate 👍
very good video man!
Thats amazing. Hopefully some time in my life i will get that experience. ❤
This wont gives an DOH experience, this is just Business Class Lounge experience
Nice bro I just had around a 10 hour layover and was very impressed
Would have been good to see the rest of the airport given it’s number 1 ranking and not just the business lounge and spa that not everyone has access to.
Спасибо вам за видео. Вас ждут удивительные приключения! :)
