Same! The nerf wasn’t to bad. People who get killed by widow maker and get mad just wish they were us sniping! ~its a joke to anyone who is made I don’t mean to hurt any feelings~

Playing against her, the nerf really just forces her to either peek longer or get closer. It did change playing against her on certain maps - she can't sit on that super high highground near her spawn on Ilios Ruins without preventing anyone but sombra from moving past the enemy's side of the objective in one shot now. She's still extremely powerful, but has more counterplay options than before.

It totally made a difference imo. Maps like route 66 are genunely more fun to play. Widow feels powerful and still capable, but shes feels less able to dominate long range maps.

The fact that they were still coming up the stairs after hearing you pop ult at 4:30, then you precde to headshot them I'd hilarious

as a mercy player, I’m hyper aware of widowmaker if she’s in my games. I’ve been headshot enough to know that, while frustrating, it’s because I need to be mindful of my positioning. I do agree that it’s more a skill issue than anything-people just want to play the game without caring about the mechanics that go into playing the game well. Widowmaker specifically feels made to punish you for that. Sometimes, it’s a good reminder lol

honestly the nerf doesnt effect her that much ngl. It just indirectly made hanzo stronger. She's still strong but have to position smartly but since i also main ana and already knows the distance i should be with my team to be safe, i didnt really feel her nerf other than on specific maps

Yeah for most maps it doesn't effect her but maps like Busan Downtown and some Shambali spots, it's slightly inconvenient when they don't die, but you can just tap them and they're dead anyways.

Watching him playing widow and doing so well makes me wanna play widow so bad

I find it much more fun to have a fun and respectful duel with the enemy widow instead of diffing them. We learn better when we notice our mistakes

ive been trying to get better at widow for so long and watching a video like this just made my overall attitude while playing her so much more positive and enjoyable, which in turn made me improve a lot more. It really helps when you enjoy yourself like Niftty does while playing

i hate the nerfs so much like everyone was crying about a sniper being able to one shot

I'd be scared to be against you in a game, tho I'm in bronze 3 so that's not likely to happen lol. I play quite a lot of reaper do you think he's pretty good at contesting a good widow? I know one of the big things is to make sure she doesn't see my teleport so I don't get headshot out of it.

Widow vs reaper hmm I didn't verse many reapers, but when I did, I was kinda relieved, cause I personally find it easy to headshot reapers, still depends on how you play though. I would say picking off the widow would be a priority by being as sneaky as possible to surprise her, but gonna be hard on big maps like circuit royale, IMO

I started playing widow a while ago and I'm so scared to go competitive mode because all the hate and nervousness. I have a good amount of time with her (112 hours more or less) for being not the best but I can go decent against plat and rarely but yes, masters. Maybe with your video I will get motivated enough to try :D

when i play widowmaker, i always choose skins that will allow me to blend in with my surroundings better, i crouch to make myself smaller and less visible, and when a game starts, i always check real quick what composition the other team has and if they have a tracer, sombra, or a widow.

Tbh I have a good nerf idea, dmg goes back to normal but now it takes like 5 seconds to charge and when you stop aiming your charge doesn’t go away but saves and when you use your ult charge time speeds back up

We love when a reaper fades directly in the direction you are and getting a head shot

I prefer low sensitivity. It helps me improve my muscle memory faster. Make sure you stick with a sensitivity once you find what's comfortable. Consistency is key. Also, this is for PC. I'm not sure about console, if you are a console player

What is your reticle not the box one but the one you mainly use?

Not having the pressure that its a ranked match helps a lot, when i played LoL i once queued for a ranked thinking it was a normal match and i played out of my mind and when the game ended thats when i saw it was a ranked

Best advice I have for widow is constantly change the angle. When enemies know where you’ll peak from you’ll be so much more likely to die and coming from different angles will let you catch enemies off guard for free kills a lot of the time. Also in widow match ups listening out for the hook is a big deal if you can manage it

On certain maps like Havana, due to it being quite long at the start and end, it wouldn't hurt. But most of the time, I didn't really need a mercy pocket due to my playstyle, but other widows might be different so just always look at where a widowmaker is positioned, also if they are a good widowmaker they should just ask for damage boost when they need it on a long angle but IMO I don't think it's a pirioty 🥰😊

On most maps she is still super annoying especially with a mercy pocket. And her ,sombra, pharah, current McRee are probably the least fun characters to play against
