A rein duel is more about the team around them than the 1v1. The only thing that matters in 1v1 is blocking shatters and charges

​@@CamSpaghettthats the mental part of the rein v rein, a larger picture also includes the ability to block the nades and sleeps more and pulling/pushing him due to your positioning when you have shatter into rough spots. Also getting shatter faster then him due to you landing more firestrikes etc.

That’s the largest gap between “hammer down” and the hammer actually being down that I’ve personally seen.

That big slam at the start was so crazy, the enemy team must of had such a good reaction time to get out of that one

I've learned a lot an will try to be less indecisive and work on my shield management! I question myself a lot. I didn't even notice till you pointed it out about the shield management. I know chat said ego vod but I genuinely don't know what I could do better sometimes. I knew at the end that I jumped down too quickly though. My ana wasn't there yet and they even made that callout. For some reason I thought the payload was closer. I REALLY wanted to submit this VOD because of that ONE shatter LOLLL. I honestly had no clue what would happen. I should have known it would have been delayed?? Anyways thanks everyone for watching me play a lil silly rein duals! :)

aw thank you!! I'm excited to improve on my plays. You are very kind. I wish rein could be more viable in situations. It's the "being forced on main tank for years" LOL no one else would select rein so I hated him but then I grew to love the hero :)@@connor_5788

People just hate to see others win or do better than them. It's a mix of jelaousy and lack of self-confidence

i just know the rein/zarya was begging to somebody to touch cart so they could go a bit further but i know how hard it can be to leave cart at overtime.. you just cant trust anybody

I can say I have never backed out of the rein duel by going orisa. I will go any other tank if it doesn't work by playing rein due to them having more shield damage or mei+ana bap /lucio and I have moira+something else. I either adjust my playstyle on rein or I go sigma or monkey or doom or dva whatever tank but not orisa. Its mind numbingly boring and I feel I have already lost if I have to touch the hero.

He can get big slams but he doesn't know how too get the kills afterwards

rein just doesnt get that vaule with his ult anymore the team has to commit with you to get the kills in the current state of the game

What this guy needs to work on is confidence. As rein you can’t wait for a good shatter to come to you, you need to make the opportunity for a shatter. That’s why he’s holding onto it for so long. Have confidence your plan will work, if it doesn’t no harm no foul, just try again. Emongg already mentioned shield economy, so I didn’t feel the need to touch on that, but he could have had a lot more shatters if he focused on making them work rather than waiting for them to give him a chance. Altogether he just needs more practice with most of the kit (pins, shield, etc.). I’ve been a gm rein only for a few seasons ever since coming back to ow2, and he has a lot of confidence when he doesn’t have shatter but as soon as it pops up he losses all hope and looks like a dog without a bone waiting for something to happen. Keep the confidence, make the shatter happen don’t wait.

Yeah especially when you as rein are certain you got shatter first just send it when the first oppertunity is there imo. Its a free fight win when it lands. If your confident he doesn't have it just pull him into rough angles. If he follows you he knows you have it, if he doesn't you can shatter people regardless.
