You can always try to get your way out of this, but the fact that as you showed 6 and 7 players swarm the ball is RIDICULOUS, also stronger by input lag and the fact that in order to pass further up you need to power up. This power up time and you've lost the ball. This press is game breaking and needs to be patched ASAP

This ridiculous press bs is ruining this year's game imo. Makes trying to play real football almost impossible, every team has prime Barcelona suffocating you which just rewards the opponent for just putting settings in and letting the AI do most of the work. These tips are definitely helpful though for anyone having trouble like myself.

EA not nerfing the AI but nerf player controlled defending MAKE IT MAKE SENSE WHO TF MAKES THIS GAME...

I think the insane pressing is fine, ONLY if it results in their stamina being drained significantly. Unfortunately it doesn't, so there's literally no downside at all from pressing like an absolute mad man.

My opponents don’t even control the defenders. I stay still and even then you still can’t find a pass cuz the defenders are always behind my players. Every game I play feels the same.

You’re bang on with the left stick dribbling. It’s kinda criminal that even when you show how to beat the press with the switch, his players shuffle over so quickly and you have so few options. You end up with a winger free but you’ve got to beat a full back & a cb still & have no options inside. Horrible for passing players this year. I just have to piNg to the wings & then cut back. Awful football. Might get a big striker and spam crosses tbh

I run 80 depth and press on heavy and my cbs just run back to the box and my midfielders just stand there but everyone else's ai seems to do everything for them

The 71 Depth Pressure only works against a determined set of tactics. Some option, maybe the formation, or the build up, or attacking style, or even the instructions on the midfield players is what allows that tactic to work against your team. If you don't have it, your team won't be so pressured like that, and you'll be able to punish your opponent high defensive line.

Switch between your in game formations/tactics, if your in midfield switch to attacking, if you’re in the final 3rd ultra attacking if your opponent has the ball in midfield switch to defensive if they have it in the final 3rd switch to ultra defensive. I’m not the best player but I’ve always used this since pressure was the meta and it seems to override how opponents pressure affects your players giving more options to pass the ball around and gets your player into their right positions, try it out hope it helps.

People have different formations set up for the d pad tactics. I have 4 different attacking formations set up for them.

@@THM2008 that’s counterproductive though, why do you need 4 attacking formations? They should be used for what they was made for and it makes the game way easier to alleviate pressure

On top of what is mentioned in the video, I also want to point out that Slow build up seems to help a bit. Obviously these are all ways to try to counter something that needs to be patched up asap

It’s just not realistic or even and exaggerated version of real life. The lack of fatigue drain is the craziest part. But passing should still be the go to build up and it’s if the don’t fix the press, fix the offensive AI to get in position to try to help break it

where can I see this patch note?

More reliable options need to add to the game to evade the press other than LS dribbling since it's only effective with high agility and dribbling. Overall I think people are tired of these defensive games that offers little to no offensive options. It's stressful and it burns you out.

What has been working for me lately is to keep passing the ball in the backline but slightly move the line up. It will kill off the press because now my attackers are higher in their half. This can take up a lot of time building up the play but I rather find a way in than losing the ball in my half. Try to not lose the ball first

When the press is on my players act like bronze players for some reason. They cant turn properly, cant pass, no power in passess its a fkin mess. I cant even be mad at it anymore I just laugh at it now. this shit is dumb af😂

I quit one match first 10 mins. Couldn't gey ball out of my half vonstant intercepts and perfect positioning from opponent. Press is massively over powered. Whenever I use press after possession my team are done by 60 minutes.

Against a good player, pressing won't do you any good. But damn it, I'm not good, I'm sweating around in DIV 3 and all that shit just puts pressure on me. Sometimes I don't even have a second to think about where I should fit. This shitty thing about running to the penalty area line and having fun dribbling with a pass into the middle, which you can hardly defend, is just unrealistic. I think EA FC itself is really good, but that urgently needs to change.

I’m div 2 and press absolutely destroys me hahaha . If a good player is pressing, chances are they’re abusing all the other game mechanics too. The game is just a contest of who can abuse the game mechanics more effectively. I refuse to use the rediculous press because I don’t think it’s fun. But sometimes it destroys me

The press is so strong in FC 24 because this game is a POS, it's unrealistic that the AI is running a constant press.

I faced a shitty player that tried to dribble with Mbappe thru the middle every single second. Guy had super pressing on or something cuz I couldn't even properly x pass anymore. His defence came in front of my attack or were breathing up his neck. At the end of the game his players were just as exhausted as mine even tho I don't do press.. Also I hate it that whenever I retrieve the ball my fucking attackers have their back towards enemy goal and just watch how I pass by them instead of trying to run with me or create space. Barely any defensive counterplay in the game aswell. People just r1 pass and make a pass thru or run down the flank and cut back.

Amazing bro. I hope this game gets back to "normal" or "REAL" soccer not yhis AI computer BS
