loads of chroma noise especially in your dark t-shirt - Is that because it was shot in low light? some of my early footage on my 700d with crop mood seems to suffer the same thing, and I'm wondering if it's an under exposure issue.

I underexposed the shot and had to bring it back up in post and that generated the noise you mentioned. My experience is you need to really nail exposure when using Magic Lantern. I could have used noise reduction but I didn't notice that noise until later. Thanks for the feedback :)

Dumb question but does the autofocus work on the 650d with the crop mood? 😊

Yes it does. It's not great but it works. It isn't Dual Pixel Autofocus like in more recent cameras but it does work. Dependes highly on the lens as well. Canon lenses will work better.
