@@Born2kilII It means "emotional". An emotional affair is when you're cheating on someone emotionally, and it can come with and without the physical part. It's when people develop an actual romantic relationship with someone outside of their marriage/relationship, and continue to pursue it with long-night texts, "I love yous" behind their partner's back, meeting often for lunch(dates in disguise) etc. Sometimes people will claim that there was never physical relationship and those texts were all that happened.

It's crazy how someone will throw away relationships and career over scraps. You have this young guy stringing along this woman and bonus she's his college teacher smh. She can't see the forest for all the trees. She's apparently morally bankrupt if she thought this was a good idea. He met someone who could further his get rich ambitions and left the state. My advice for the second OP, turn an entire bedroom into your cat condo. Start with putting up all kinds of carpet-wrapped shelves, cardboard tubes, like toilet paper and paper towels show up wrapped around, and maybe even put something made out of rope, metal chains, and bars attached to the rafters in the room's ceiling with a patchwork maze of wooden boards, most of the encased in the same carpet as the shelves as well, just to really stick it to the ex. Also, if you do one day decide to resume the relationship with the AP's ex, I'd suggest you both get into therapy just to make sure you guys don't end up hurting each other when the rebound ends, especially if OP does end up fathering a miracle baby with her.

Honestly, hating cats is a red flag to me. You have to be really good at respecting boundaries in order to have a cat that loves and trusts you, and people who hate cats--at least, from personal experience and the experiences of those I know--tend to disrespect boundaries a lot. Either by not having been taught properly, or by being the type to cross boundaries on purpose just because they can/want to. Obviously this isn't the case for everyone, but yeah.

Yeah, I agree, when someone tell me they don't like cats I'm immediately like "mmmmm ok..." My boyfriend doesn't like cats, but I know it's not because of any of what you said, he's just allergic and basically only knows the stereotypes, since he never comes close to cats (his allergies is really bad... I can't touch him before carefully washing my hands after petting a cat), so he basically doesn't know how lovable and sweet cats can be. I've been telling him for over a year now, and he even accepted having a cat at our home, in the future (as long as the cat can't get into our room/his office room) - I've told him multiple times that a lot of people allergic to cats have them and some kind of exception ends up happening (my sister's boyfriend is a big example of that, since he has four cats, no problems with that, but keeps sneezing etc when around our cats) Sorry for my poor English, I think I ended up writing it in a very confusing way... I'm just tired and English is not my first language
