This is the finale scene from the 1980 movie Fame, featuring Irene Cara among some other amazing talents. In this scene, the featured singers, dancers and musicians are actors who play the major student roles. Most of the rest of the chorus, choir, band, orchestra and dancers are actual graduating students from The High School of Performing Arts (1979) in NYC. The audience was comprised (other than the teachers and parents (actors) they focus on) of other students and staff from the school. It must have been a lot of fun to be part of this. I recommend including Irene Cara's name in the video title. Also, RIP to the beautiful Irene Cara.

One of the best finales of a musical film ever!

This was the theme song for a movie about a performing arts school. Debbie Allen was probably the most iconic actor, she played a dance instructor. She is a famous choreographer, actress, director, etc. The rest of the cast, other than a few professors, were young up and coming talents. This song was from their graduation. Irene Cara was a stand out star. RIP Irene, I loved your voice! ❤❤❤

This kills me. Watch the whole film. Its the finale after they went through 4 years of pain and tragedy.

This musical shows the end of the character’s journey and how well it turned out. The main piano player put this song together to include classical and rock music. He also incorporated the dancers and chorus singers. Everybody from the school was included!
