I Should Make More Of These! Potato & Cheese Filled Flatbreads! No Oven Pide

Are you looking for something quick and delicious when craving some food for breakfast, lunch, or as a snack?
These potato and cheese-filled flatbreads are easy to make. You can keep the filling and dough in the refrigerator and bake on the stove when you want, and you can also bake and keep it in the fridge for 3-4 days. Just reheat to enjoy with a glass of tea or your choice.
To make it vegetarian friendly skip the milk in the recipe and use water. And simply don't add cheese but more potatoes.
Ingredients For Potato & Cheese Filled Flatbreads (4 Serving)
For the dough:
1 cup mix of water and milk or water (lukewarm)
1 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
about 3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
For the filling:
3-4 medium size potatoes (boiled, peeled, and grated)
about 2 tbsp butter
2-3 tbsp olive oil (if you are vegetarian use only olive oil or vegetable oil)
1/2 cup shredded kashar or any melting cheese (mozzarella)
less than 1 tsp salt
1 tbsp chopped dill
1 cup more shredded cheese
For the butter brush on top
3 tbsp butter
1 heaped tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Here in India we call this Aloo paratha but with more of Indian spices and chopped onions, served with pickles and curd.. Love your version too..

In India we make same. Bread with whole-wheat flower with different stuffings like potatoes , onion, paneer(fresh cheese),lentil ,spinach. It’s delicious.

Lentil, spinach! that's interesting. Can you give a recipe for lentil filling for example. I might try and also the viewers might do :)

Cook any lentil with salt or spices of your choice. Keep it dry so don’t add too much water just enough to cook lentil. Then sauté onions with garlic And add turmeric,cumin, black pepper, red pepper, Indian garam masala with lentils. You can spices of your choice. We add ginger too at times. Mix everything. Cook the same way as the potato filling bread. We make whole wheat flower and bread is slightly thinner. You can add cooked spinach to filling. Make sure it’s dry so squeeze water out. Try it and let me know if u like it. Thanks for trying it.

Amazing recipe. It tastes so good. The bread didn't rise in my pan however like a balloon. I used high heat and didn't oil the pan. Is there anything I am doing wrong?
