Best of both worlds. If you have a beard you should shave it, or trim it down once a year. It's easy to let the beard take over your identity.

After several months of Growth and an awesome looking beard (handlebars included) I Had to trim my beard down real low just to erase the hack job a new inexperienced barber did on my beard - Heartbreaker. For what it’s worth, this video actually made me feel a lot better. Shaving your beard off and being ok with the growth process helped me put a positive spin on the whole experience - it all grows back. Thanks.

I nearly shed a tear myself for you GB. It’s a feeling I never want to experience. A barber ruined my moustache once whilst I was in the process of growing it out. Put me back 4 months and I was absolutely livid and distraught. Totally stupid thing to get so upset about I’m the grand scheme of things but it’s was the fact he sent me home with one side mowed and the side slightly trimmed. It wasn’t until I got in front of the mirror and thought “what the absolute f%#k have you done”. He still never agreed or admitted he had screwed up when I went back in to see him, just blamed it on me saying I hadn’t seen him for a couple of months and how was ‘he’ to know what I wanted to do…… that just made it worse of course. Still hurts to talk about it now as I really loved going there and enjoyed the company. (Plus my son loved going there). A big loss just because he wasn’t man enough to say ‘Jase, I’m so sorry I screwed up…..’ Anyway I digress. I have to be honest, it struck me that’s Mrs B wasn’t that keen on the clean look at the end either. Hope it didn’t take long to grow back.

Yes his voice sounds different, but its all a mind trick. We perceive a man with a beard differently after it is completely removed right before our eyes! Trust me, he has not changed, we did.

You do what you gotta do. I applaud your valuing your wife over your beard. As for me, due to getting a rash on my neck from shaving (convenient excuse - doctor verified for work), my last "full face shave" was May 10, 1975. This coming 5/10/2020 it will be 45 years old. I shave the neck and cheeks only once a week and trim the beard once a month. Fortunately, it fits in with my image: Scots Irish heritage, Philosophy teacher and mountain man re-creationist.

What you did needs a heart of steel.. Respect +

Substracting 4 years of beard you are looking very fresh and young too.Though it's painful to watch slaughtering of beard!

He just went from the godfather to a new to the business college professor. Whoa! 20 years gone!

Shaving the lower part was like ”ok thats different“, shaving the mustache was like ”who is that now?“

I remember a trip to the barbers where, whilst I waited, a guys wife was doing all the talking for him and telling the barber to shave her husbands beard off. The husband clearly didn’t want to, but wasn’t going to stand up to his quite obnoxious wife. After the shave was complete the husband sat there a chinless wonder. His wife gave him an inspection and the first thing she said: I don’t like this look on you. Obviously not the situation with Greg at all. Just reminded me.

Greg rocks and has inspired me at 51 to grow my first beard. His is wife is Just as wonderful as he is!

With beard you look like a well groomed mountain man :) Without beard you look like a well groomed business man :) Either way your a good looking dude who can pull either off :)

I'm still in awe, like OMG!!!....he literally shaved off 20-25 years off his face, and it's like he doesn't even sound the same...but to be honest he is still handsome as ever...will definitely be around for the regrowth #KeepOnGrowing
