A voice, a guitar, extreme talent. Doesn't get better than this
The impassioned vocals and stripped-down, eloquent playing make for one of the most moving renditions of this song I’ve ever heard. I’m so used to hearing this performed with a full band and a chorus of backup singers. This, instead, in its simplicity, with it’s underpinning of sympathetic guitar, is a cry in the darkness, full of pain and hope. Just inexpressibly beautiful. Thank you, Clarence and Roberto and Playing For Change.

Why would they settle for Rihanna, Jay-Z, & Kanye, at the Super Bowl Halftime Show this year, when they could have talented entertainers like these, playing music that influenced many of us, & the "true" Superstars we grew up listening to?

Their version of Stand by Me from years ago might still be my favorite..just amazing all around and Clarence absolutely nailed his part as always! And Roberto too,omg that steel guitar is so beautiful, all are incredible..But everything they've done is great.

After being trauma-bombed with Covid, I love seeing two of my favourite Playing for Change stars - Roberto Luti and Clarence Bekker. Great team and great music. Keep going forward, sending creative energies and music to and from the world.

I love everyone who plays for change, but after Grandpa Eliot ( may he rest in peace) these two are my very favourites. Clarence sings with so much soul and power, and the tone of Roberto's instrument is so complex, he really knows how to make it give it's best. ❤❤❤
