Welcome to a wild day at the National. We give you a first hand look at what's going on with footage from the National Sports Collectors Convention. Today I spent time with Gary Vee to try and see what his goal was with his new product and also learn about his take on the sports card hobby, sports card market, and the hobby in general.
This is one of the best shows in the world. Today we give you a run through the show talking to sports card collectors, sports card flippers, sports card investors, and even pokemon collectors.

A lot I’ve heard about Gary is that he’s essentially a con artist & this is just a scam - I don’t know much of him… but I’d be weary of putting money into these… these things just scream; ‘BEANIE BABIES OF 2020s’
I 100% agree mojo could be a mini series. The road show videos you made were the absolute best content you have made. There is a story here and the hobby is only getting bigger.

What I find interesting about Vee Friends, is it started out digital, but now there are physical items...cards, stickers, stuff animals...just goes to show you the demand for physical cards is still great, and won't be replaced imo

It was a failed NFT project…so he made then into cards. No passion behind it..just a money grab to try and save the licensing to the imagery. And the cards look like shit too🤣 gary vee is a cancer

@@mojo_sports no. And the only reason anyone is looking at these cards with any interest is due to gary vee. Some joe blow makes these and they flop easy. To each their own but no interest whatsoever on giving my money to gary vee

@@Fudgetheglobalists Very true. I could make my own Vee Friends, but since I'm not a KZreadr with millions of viewers or Twitter and Instagram followers, it's very unlikely anyone would care. It is what it is

Great video Jay! I was so surprised to see myself in there and when we talked about my daughter's. I showed them the video and they went crazy. They were so excited to see their picture in a video. I also sent you an email about the autos we talked about.

I have been around the Card space and Hobby since 1981(born in 1971) and i have never heard of Gary Vee until 2022....that is 100% truth and most people i know still have no clue who he is. People in the Hobby stick with what they know and Gary Vee has not been in the game long enough to just hop in a say "hey , notice me", the Hobby is WAY bigger than just one person. He lends to the new generation of collectors as i Googled him and researched what he does. I still don't really know WHAT he does to be specific, but he's making money obviously. He sounds kind of egotistical and from my years of being around the Hobby and collecting, that doesn't vibe well with die hard collectors. I won't fault him for his business sense...BUT, this Hobby died once and a painfully obvious one in the late 80s-mid 90s...the ONLY difference now is there is going to be only one player in 2025 that is going to control 100% of the LICENSED card market, everything else will be essentially knock-offs.
