I saw the Northwestern Go Through the Seattle Boat Locks Today

Ойын-сауық

This morning I went to see the Northwestern leave Seattle for Salmon Tendering Season. First I went down to the shipyard to see them head out and then I ran down to the Seattle Boat Locks to see them go through the Locks. You will see the Northwestern moving around the Fremont Cut and the Seattle Boat Locks. Today is a day I will not forget, it was awesome. I hope you all enjoy this video of the Northwestern. Don't Forget to Dream Big.

Interesting video - The maneuverability of the boat was intriguing. My family and I met Edgar Hansen at the NY State Fair (Syr. NY) several years ago for the Discovery Channel was promoting them (Jake Anderson was to attend but couldn't). It was a pretty big crowd. Seemed like a nice guy - gave us an autograph to give to our son who couldn't be there. Anyway, I made a comment to him pointing to the crowds and said, "Did you ever think that this documentary you are part of would've been this big?" He looked out and I could've sworn he had a look of revelation and wonderment of the whole thing. Thanks for sharing this!

Wow, it's SO much smaller than it looks on the show! I'm shocked! I had been under the impression that it were profoundly longer, wider, and taller, than it truly seems to be. I wonder why there appears to be such a significant size variation, between your footage, and the footage used for the show. I guess it's possible that, for some reason, the show, intentionally, tries to utilize angles that make it appear larger; however, I can't quite determine why they would even want, or bother, to do such a thing!🧐🤯

Great video, man. I love it down there so much I bought a boat and slip at Stimson Marina (2 slips away from the Northwestern). I did some fishing for a few seasons and absolutely loved and miss it. Can't wait to get back out there. Best of luck and hope to see ya around the yard. Keep the vids coming!
