The long-awaited summer has finally arrived. How nice to go out in light clothes in sandals or flip-flops. Immediately the first thought is, did they wait.
During the day the sun shines so brightly. It's time to get your hats out.
What they just do not happen: hats, straw, fabric, knitted, panama hats, caps, visors, scarves. Everyone chooses what he likes. I like to walk with an umbrella in the summer, especially when it gets hot, you always walk in the shade.
It is not necessary to buy a summer headdress, you can sew it yourself. For example, a scarf made of thin cotton fabric is always useful. You just need to cut out the triangle and process the edges.
Kerchiefs, like clothes, have undergone changes and now they can be worn without tying them in a knot. I want to propose a new model.
For a scarf, you will need a small piece of fabric, I have this chintz.
According to this scheme, I cut out a scarf. Here the corner is rounded. But this is not important, you can make it triangular as usual. Also, the length of 34.5 cm can be increased.
1) You will need a 19x8 cm rectangle. It is needed in order to put an elastic band in there. Here, the width of the fabric is 6-8 cm, depending on the width of the elastic band. You can also insert two rubber bands.
2) First, I tucked and stitched the hanging edge of the scarf.
3) Then I prepared a wide elastic band. I measured the length by myself, it is 15.5 cm. I folded the rectangle along the long side, stitched it to the width of the elastic band and turned it inside out. I inserted an elastic band inside, stitched it in the middle so that it would not turn over while wearing.
4) I tucked the straight edge of the scarf to the width of the elastic band.
5) I laid a small crease to even out everything. Inserted a rubber band inside.
6) Then I turned it out, the open sections were inside. Did the same on the other side.
7) I stitched the folded part.
The scarf is very comfortable, you need to put it on your head like a hat and no untying knots.
