    Hi Ethan, Hope all is well and I'm glad you made it safely over that 2 ton limit bridge. Your long wheel base 4X4 F250 is about 7300 lbs and your Lance slide in camper is about 2500 lbs, so you're at 9800 lbs total, not including fuel, water and the rest of your load out. So - about 4.9 tons. Be careful out there friend. Steve

    For those of you that do not know, Eureka Springs is a former spa town with several cold water mineral springs. You should not drink the water. It is a small town with Christians, motocycle riders, aging hypies, and GLBTQ community get along. There are about 2-3 large historic grand hotels. THere are some awesome, unique, locally owned restaurants. IT is more than just nick-nacks.

  • @ajriding

    @ajriding

    1 ton is 2,000 pounds, so 2 tons is 4,000 pounds. Ethan truck alone is about 7,500 pounds and the camper add another 3,000 at least. 10,000-12,000 pounds total or 5-6 tons. That bridge rated at two tons can probably take 4 tons, but might incur damage over repeated abuse. The bridge so short that probably one axle at a time was on it, so that would be half, so that helps.

    Ethan, I always enjoy watching your travels and getting to share some of your life with you. You are real you are authentic and you are very welcoming. Plus you are super, super cute inside and out. Every time I visit here, it’s like visiting a friend, just hanging out, sharing everyday life and adventures. I traveled for several years in my Toyota 4Runner which allowed me to reach places most people wouldn’t be able to access. Therefore me and my boyfriend would find amazing lakes and rivers where we might stay for a week or so and never see another person. We loved to be able to skinny dip, well, basically clothes were only on the menu for functional purposes like sun protection, cool or cold weather and just being cozy at night time. After a few years of traveling and camping this way, we decided to buy a motor home. Of coarse, we pulled the 4Runner and if we got somewhere where we wished to go deeper into nature, then the motor home could take us, we would find a safe place to leave the RV, Load up the 4Runner with all our camping gear and cross the river or traverse 4x4 only passage till we found that special place where we would stay until we had our fill and were ready to visit other areas of the country. We pretty much lived this way for 10+ years until we decided to buy a home. We found a bit of paradise in Mendocino California, just thirty minutes from the Giant Redwoods, I am sure that is where Bambi lives. We bought an eighty acre gentleman’s type ranch with an eight acre private lake that was spring fed and 50 feet deep. We had a nice house overlooking the lake and the coastal mountain range. It was like we found the best of three worlds; RV trips when in the mood, camping our way whenever we felt that need, and being home in our own little Paradise which was like a combination of all three. All of what I just shared with you is so much why I come to visit you, it’s like being there, albeit brief, with a really nice and fun friend. Relish this time and have a happy life always. One last thing, have you any experience at acting, can you sing and most importantly, have you any desire to do this. You are a natural you know. Thanks for letting me share a bit of myself and some of my experiences with you. I do wish that this platform was more conversational and allowed for personal communication one on one. I would like to explore my above questions with you in a more serious way where we could actually have a private conversation. Perhaps Telegram? It is free to call, video chat, or just have a live text chat. I don’t mean to be intrusive in any way, just a suggestion. Thank You for sharing, Dana

    The little door hanger advertising camping places was their kind way of recommending you find another place to park.... Businesses don't profit if they alienate their business base... Most Walmart stores allow short term camping... I never recommend using a parking lot... they are noisy and there is always the chance of someone accidentally hitting you... Peaches is such a sweet doggo.... She is living her best life, Dogs love going places and doing things, They have abilities that We don't ... Smell, sight, hearing, taste.... My first boyfriend grew up in a small desert town in California. When we visited his family, we hosed ourselves down til soaked before going for a walk. We were only out for 20-30 minutes and completely bone dry by the time we reentered the house. Hosing down is what people there do. Sane people only use swamp coolers, resorting to AC only as augmentation and distinct lack of poverty.

    I used to hate finding new places every day and especially when there were street lights around. In fact any light. I like the natural light. ❤👍👋👋👋👋👋

    Really enjoyed this format! While we weren't able to see your lovely face during the outro, it was awesome hearing your voice for it with various clips! I noticed the scammers trying piggy back on you. So glad you commented on the issue to help prevent people getting taken advantage of. Be safe out there and love the videos! (the water is still on and running to this day! lol)

    You asked to comment on your video, I liked it! Actually, just you carrying on with your life is so fun to watch. I love your dry sense of humor which comes across regardless of where you're at or what you're doing "Peaches!! it's literally me" cracked me up, made the whole 15 minutes I invested watching this video worth it. Thank's for sharing your travels Ethan.

    I absolutely love your videos. I especially enjoy how creative you are in solving problems. You remind me of my father-in-law in the way he tackled problems (like fixing your door). I would love to know more about Austin-how you all got together etc. I’m glad you’re not traveling alone. That always worried me. I like your format. It is sickening to think people would steal on the back of your hard work. I hope they fail - and get caught.

    Ethan, EthanTravels, If you put your truck in tow mode when in places with a lot of hills, curves, and in the mountains it will bring your engine into a higher engine braking mode which utilizes the compression of your engine as a brake. It has variable vane turbos and it will help slow you down and save your brake pads. Do on my '08 f250 4x4 6.4l diesel all the time. Would have been especially helpful in Eurika Springs. Love that town. I live just out east of Oklahoma City in McCloud. I'm just off I-40 about 1/2 mile north, 1.5 miles east and 3/8 back south. I'm right next to the interstate but it's not horribly loud. Lol. In the area need a free place to park shoot me a message.
