the r46 was and still is my favorite subway car, since i was 4 i chose to go on the R line instead of the M line so i could choose the r46.

@@SuprToeAll old cars are horrible for riders. And its not like it wont happen to the new trains. In fact, the only thing good about the NTTS rn are the r179. It’ll be horrible just like the r46 ones it hits its 40s.

The R46s are falling apart. I've never seen a subway car with duct tape on it.

Try spelling (F)(A)(L)(L)(Q)(W)(7) 1. Start off at Church Avenue 2. Take the F to Jay Street-MetroTech 3. Take the A to 14th Street 4. Take the L to 6th Avenue 5. Take another L to 14th Street-Union Square 6. Take the Q to 57th Street-7th Avenue 7. Take the W to Queensboro Plaza 8. Take the 7 to Mets-Willets Point 9. Visit the Unisphere.

Idea: Begin at York Street at 4:10, the train to Coney Island should arrive about 10 mins later 4:20 York Street -> Jay Street Since the N takes about 60 minutes (could be very misleading) from 86 St to DeKalb, im assuming the W also does this So, (W) departs 4:33 from 86 St, you could probably make the transfer (W) 5:30 ish to Court St (4/5)W from Borough Hall to Atlantic Terminal LIRR to East New York (im assuming you arrive at 6:00) Walk to Broadway Junction and catch the Z train that departs at 6:13 PM (yes its the last Z train but I cant fit everything) Ride the (Z) 1 stop If you're late just take the LIRR to Jamaica (I know its in Queens, but you got to do what you gotta do) and take the Z one stop to Jamaica Center (Im sure the LIRR is faster than the subway, right?) (J) train from wherever you're at to Myrtle Av (M) train to Myrtle-Wyckoffs Av (L) train to Lorimer St (G) train to Bergen St (F) to Jay Street (A) to Nostrand (or to Hoyt Scherm. and C to Franklin) (C) to Franklin (SF) to Prospect Park (Q) to 7 Av (B) to Atlantic Terminal (R) to 36 St (N) to New Utrecht Walk to 62 St (D) from 62 St to Atlantic Terminal Ride the 2/3/4/5: (4/5)W to Franklin (2/3)W to Eastern Parkway (2/3)W to Grand Army Done! (I think) All times are in PM! W=whichever comes first Notes: Yes, its a lot of shuffling back and forth

in honor of the last day of school... L from 1 av to 8 av A to times sq S to grand central 7 to 5 av

Aw man, that Z train getting away was painful to watch. I swear Broadway Junction is like the worst place to transfer in a rush - way too congested and the station layout is atrocious. It'd prolly be better to start with it earlier in the run.

Shenanigans getting in the way

This weekend, there are many service changes and i have a video idea. Queens bound R via Q from Canal St to 4th Av-9th St, Transfer to a G, Transfer to an A train to Rockaway Blvd, Transfer to a rockaway shuttle and get off at Broad Channel (Shuttle in rockaway extended to rockaway blvd for mta shenanigans)

I love your content. It is so great to watch also im a pateron subscriber and heres a route. Take the A from Inwood-207 St to 168 st. Take the 1 to 96 st. Take the 3 to times sq. Take the shuttle to grand central. 5 train to union sq. L train to Myrtle wyckoff avs And finnaly, take the M to middle village, metropolian avenue.

25 June, I’m coming to New York

*Word salad warning!!!* Next time around, I'd try striking all of the tricky lines out as soon as physically possible so you don't end up barely missing a critical train. As soon as you see the W train appear in the app I'd recommend: Take the next (R) train from DeKalb Ave to 25th st - where the attempt would start. 1) Ride the W train 1 stop to 4 Av - 9 St. Assuming that train exists, it gets you to 4 Av - 9 St at 7:30. 3) Hop on the regular F at 7:38, which gets you to 7 Av at 7:39 4) From there, you can hop on the 2nd , which should arrive at 7:53 AM. (Arrives at Jay St at 7:58) 5) Take the A to Hoyt Schermerhorn 6) Then take the G to Broadway. 7) Walk to Lorimer, and take the J 2 stops. / The last Z gets to Myrtle - Broadway at 8:40, leaving you with 42 minutes to do 26 mins of travel - not the worst margins / 8) Hop on the Z to Marcy Av 9) Take the M to Myrtle - Wyckoff 10) L to Atlantic Ave 11) LIRR to Nostrand 12) C to Franklin Ave 13) S to Prospect Pk 14) Q to 7 Av 15) B to Atlantic 16) 4 to Nevins 17) 2 to Hoyt 18) 3 to Boro Hall 19) 5 to Atlantic 20) Then take the D / N / R trains wherever you want! The only feasible way to catch all Brooklyn trains that starts at DeKalb Ave, starting with the W is: 1) W train from DeKalb Ave to Jay St MetroTech (arrives @ 7:39) 2) You have 1 minute to make it to the next southbound F train. That would get you to 7 Av at 7:51 - two minutes before the second of the morning is scheduled to arrive. Technically possible, but too tight for my liking :) From Jay St, you could follow the same route as above. Both of these routes are feasible during the both first and second phases of the G train shutdown (imo they are better with the shutdown, since the free transfer at Broadway is being temporarily reinstated) Good luck on any future Brooklyn endeavors you partake in, and happy summer!

Taking the last Z train is risky, since if theres a delay for any reason, like a breakdown, it will just fail the run Also: you're forced to bunch the sticky trains together, they run the same time

​@@NotJuliusKun On this route, you'd arrive well before the last Z train pulled through - I was just emphasizing the existence of a 20 minute buffer, so if something broke down, you could still make it in time for that last Z train. Assuming all scheduled trains ran, he'd: Catch an 8:00 - 8:02 A train Hop on the 8:05 - 8:15 G train Walk to Lorimer and make the 8:21 - 8:23 J train That would give him ample time to catch the 8:31 or 8:41 Z - nearly 20 minutes until the last Z train of the day. Technically, you could catch an afternoon W train and just ride the morning & Z - I just think its better to get the 3 sticky trains done in as quick of a succession as physically possible.

I have a route idea just to do in the future: J train at Myrtle av to Marcy av for M M to F train at delancy F to 6 at bleeker st 6 to 7 to court sq 7 to G transfer G to L at lorimer L to A/C at bwy junction A/C to Franklin av SHUTTLE to prospect b/q to Brighton q to west 8 F to jay st R To canal and transfer to 6 train to 5 train 5 train to Fulton av J/Z to Myrtle av! Perfect loop!

I think you would have made that Z train if that L train got to Broadway Junction a little bit earlier but there's always next time, I guess because it can't be all Brooklyn trains without the Z train (although not to be rude but I think the Z is useless in my opinion).

The section where you were switching to the L train was owned by the LIRR. It's actually called the Bay Ridge Branch, and Freight trains currently use it. About once or twice a day ai believe. The future IBX *Inter Borough Express* will be running on it! I hope...

I don’t know if you still do suggestions or if you will do this suggestion but heres my favorites (you can start at any station ride so here is it: 7 to Times Square A or C to 59th Street B or D to 161-Yankee 4, 5 or 6 to 59th Street *OUT OF SYSTEM TRANSFER TO THE F* F to Kew Gardens-Union Tpke R to Forest Hills And that’s all. He probably meant to try to do All Brooklyn Trains in the evening but I don’t think the W train runs in Brooklyn during the evening hours, so SuprToe would have to do this during a weekday morning.

@@Phineascharles10 Okay, thank you. It’s mostly the reason he isn’t doing All Brooklyn trains at night. But as the MTA has proven in a few of SuprToe’s videos, these scheduled trains don’t always arrive when they are supposed to. Plus, with the G not running very much this summer he might have to wait until autumn to try this again.

I get it. R46 will be retired. So why do I like R3/ but dislike R46? It all comes down to rider experience. R32’s were loud but dependable. They even brought them out of retirement when the R179s had door issues. That how OG they are. They still ran hard. For me the R46 is just an ugly remnant of a transitional technological era. Not new enough to help, and too old to work right for riders. Operators like them. That’s cool. But IDK. The cars seem to be held together by duct tape and bubblegum at this point.

How come you don’t like R46s if you rided an R46
