I Restored This 2$ eBay Junk Game Boy Color GBC - Retro Console Restoration & Repair ASMR
To fix the Gameboy burn-in screen I need to remove the burn polarizing filter and replace It with a new one. A sharp blade can be used to get the start, but the filter will peel off by hand. Some of the glue will stay on the screen. I removed it with Isopropyl alcohol.
This type of damage on the screen is called screen burn. it means the polarizer filter on the screen has been damaged. Usually by sunlight.
So, I have to send the screen to a place specializing in changing its polarizing filter.
The GamrBoy is the 3rd most sold console of all time after the Nintendo DS and The PlayStation 2
game Pokémon Gold
GBC
I also removed the yellowing from the plastic shell which was supposed to be colorless. For this, I used the same retro lighting method as always.

I love to watch kinda videos like that! awesome!
I've done a lot of restoration projects, I still can't produce videos as excellent as yours at the moment! Some restoration videos may be fake, but i find yours quite legit and real, and you also show how you even make it with detail and care I love it, keep up the nice work!
Great! Many thanks for your work.
Always great 😃👍

*Nice Content Brother Restoration EG... Game Boy Color is a Good Portable!!! Congratulations...* ✌👍
Satisfying videos ❤
2 dollars is really too cheap, and it costs 20 dollars to buy such a GBC in Japan. I once repaired a GBC with no sound from the speaker, and this GBC cost 22 dollars! ! !

If the repair is a easy/minor repair the price is of course higher than when it’s in real rough shape. In this video the gbc is in rougher condition than just a faulty speaker. But I totally agree with your point that it’s way too cheap to be true.

How I like these restorations!😉 I hope I can make one on my channel 😄Great video!🙌
what were the cleaning solutions that you used for the dirt/rust and discoloration? That purple stuff and white stuff?
Is there a particular site where you get the new arts from? Would love to try this for myself!

Why did you remove the polarizing film if you were just going to replace the screen anyway?
This looks exactly similar to odd tinkerings
Isnt this gameboy the exact same one that odd tinkering used
How are you finding consoles for so cheap? I've looked and can't find them for less than twenty-five bucks
2 thoughts... 1.) ASMR is just loud noise that makes everything sounds brittle and fragile. 2.) Damn! That Game Boy looks like it was shot! Anyway...nice restoration.
where do you get those deals😭
Hey old screen could be fixed easily just by replacing the polariser i do that all the time

Plainrock124 did this!
Ni necesitas mandar la pantalla a ninguna parte ni me creo que solo te costase 2$. El filtro lo puedes poner tú mismo. A parte, ya puestos, haber pulido el protector de pantalla
Прикольно

Quite right, everyone needs to have their own style. But I also support learning from each other.

In my experience it is better to use ipa like this. If you spray it, it is sometimes a bit to much ipa which can lead to (not in really many cases) damage on the pcb. So this method is better in my experience.
