I Restore A Rusty Old Axe - Boy Scout Hatchet Restoration

I restore an antique rusty scout axe. This hatchet has seen better days in the hands of a Boy Scout. Time to pull out the restoration tools to restore the axe and get to chopping wood again.

    Fantastic job! You were freaking me out at the end when you were hacking at the log. You could've easily put that blade through your left thumb. I did something similar when I was younger.

  • @lostandrestored

    @lostandrestored

    2 жыл бұрын

    I originally held the log at the bottom (very unsafe) so I wouldn't block the camera. I wasn't chopping very hard, but realized that it is a very unsafe thing to do, that's why I switched camera angles where I could hold it by the top away from where I was chopping.

    Ok - this might be an obvious answer that I'm just not aware of, but how did the tan cloth and up looking like wood grain??? Is it because cloth is also plant-base material or something else? At first, I thought the cloth was a weird material for a grip but you proved me wrong... looks GREAT and a fitting touch 👍
